PYRO's Fire Fresh Pizza

I had a great experience here! Everyone who handled my pizza changed gloves. I have never had an issue with cross-contamination. It would be nice for them to label everything that is gluten free (sauces, meats, etc.) but overall I’ve only had wonderful meals here.

Cross contamination was terrible. Had the gluten free crust but the spoon that the sauce is in touches the regular crust, causing it to be highly cross contaminated. Pizza was good but was super sick after

The first time I got a pizza with sauce and got sick. Second time I only got olive oil, no reaction. (The Denver pizza)They have GF crust and make glove changes. Sauce and ladle are shared so don’t get sauce!

I went to Pyros for the first time last week with low expectations. However, they exceeded any thing I could have wanted. They keep the gluten free crust in the back away from the other crusts, they change their gloves, and announce down the line when there is a gluten free pizza coming down to the oven. It was so good and I had no reaction. I can't wait to go back!

I hate to give this a 2 because the pizza was the best I have ever had. Cross contamination is a big issue here. Although they change their gloves and cook the pizza on its own pan, the toppings and sauce are shared. They spread the sauce with the same spoon/sauce as they do the regular crusts. The toppings are also the same. Flour is all over the place. At this point I'm just going to pray I don't get sick. Though I've already had symptoms.:(

Absolutely love eating here! As soon as you tell them you need gluten free, they immediately put on a fresh pair of gloves so that the crust will not be contaminated. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Tuscaloosa!

Staff changed gloves and used separate pans as soon as I said I had a gluten allergy. Great pizza

The pizza was delicious-the gluten free crust was in a separate metal tin and everyone changed their gloves. However they got the toppings out of the same containers that they had been pulling from with the previous gloves which is definitely a risk. Wasn’t pleased with that but my daughter is a highly reactive Celiac and had no symptoms and loved the pizza.
