I went there on 8/15/15 and had a terrible experience. They were busy so it was suggested we sit at the bar. The bartender never said hi he just pointed at us for our drink orders. I then asked him about their gluten free options and he said "I don't know anything about that" and walked away from me. He later returned and says "isn't corn gluten free, you can anything made from corn on the menu". I had read on here that I could not have the chips due to a shared fryer so I asked him if the fryer is shared with other food and he says "no". I chose at that point to leave due to clearly he had no clue and chose not to get someone who did. My friends drink at the bar was also terrible.

My son (age 10) has celiac disease and loves this place. It's right on the bay so the kids can play in the sand while the adults enjoy a margarita :) They can make their tacos with a soft corn tortilla. The shrimp and grilled fish tacos are gluten free. The other varieties (steak, pork and chicken) all have soy sauce in their marinades. The chips are fried in a shared fryer so stay away from those. I spoke to the chef ahead of time and he was very knowledgeable about allergens and cross contamination. We felt that is was a safe place and my son loved it...and most importantly felt fine after eating here.

The hostess has a brother with celiac so she explained to me what I could eat. They have grilled wings so they are gluten free. And they can substitute any soft shell flour tortilla with a soft corn tortilla. All of their tacos were gluten free. Including the pico de Gallo and the crema. The chip fryer is also used for battered seafood.
