Red Robin has gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many locations also have dedicated fryers for gluten free-fries. Please verify with your server.
Have been eating here for over a year with no problem but then on a celebration for a family birthday I found a piece of a chicken finger at the bottom of my refill fries that I have been told were gluten free when I informed my waitress who was horrified, told her manager. Manager did not handle it well, asked me if I would get sick, informed me that sometimes things get in their other fryer, and that his son is gluten intolerant so he knows how this goes. He finished his monologue with the simple statement that if I get sick please call them back later. Left me with no solution or anything. I did spend the next 36 hours very sick and in pain. Had to escalate this whole problem to the upper management and regional managers. Was never assured that the problem was fixed, will not eat here again.
Depending on your staff, some are educated. This place I like because it's the only one I can get a chicken or a burger but with frys!! Of course they up charge for the bun. Every place else there fryer is contaminated. This is the only one that is not. The only problem is when I ask about is the ranch. Is it or not? I hate bring my own. If you have a gluten-free menu you should know this stuff!!
I had a great gluten free experience here. I was hesitant to try the buns because I've had some pretty hard/chewy buns in the past. The bun in my burger was amazing. It was soft. I'm so pleased to have found a burger joint that is tasty and safe.
I did not have a very good experience here. I had to ask for the server three times for the gluten free menu. She kept forgetting to bring it so it was 30 minutes before I could even order. Server was not friendly or helpful at all when it came to gluten free options. They do have gluten free buns but they charge more. The food was okay but not excellent. Not worth a trip back due to poor service at this location and high priced food that just isn't high quality.
Was excited and got french fries, broccoli, and the veggie patty on a gluten free bun (“keep it simple” style on the menu).
Was super yummy, I checked and they said fries would be fried in dedicated fryer. Burger arrived allergy style so I had to build it myself, marked with an allergy flag. Everything was marked GF on the website in the allergens notes. Great staff.
Went to see a movie after and got hit with the fatigue wall, now that its the morning im glued to the toilet. Great food…but was unsafe for me in the end. Got contaminated and pretty solidly it seems. Do not recommend for that reason, despite waiter being very helpful, and this being one of the few locations i have found that say you can ask to have your fries fried in a dedicated fryer (you have to ask though).
We have gone to Red Robin many times since they opened. And of all the restaurants around us, this is the one where I have NOT had an accidental gluten issue. Their GF bun is good. They have a dedicated fryer for fries (regular and sweet potato). Many of the staff are knowledgeable about GF and the management team is very eager to help when they hear someone has Gluten issues. This is a regular stop for us, because I know I can eat here without having to worry.
I’ve eaten here semi regularly and the food has always been gf as long as i communicate my allergy to my server. i dunno about take out or door dash but at the restaurant they’ve been great and have good protocols for the space. the fries can be cooked gf by request and their gf buns are fine (kinda sandy but edible)
