I’ve been here quite a few times over the years and have never been sick. Unfortunately it finally happened last night. It was probably a bit busier than normal so that may have affected it. And the staff seems to be completely different than when I used to go and that always has been an issue for my “safe” places. When there’s a completely new staff you have to be super duper diligent that they know what they are doing.

Their fries are in a separate frier and it’s the salt they put in that is not safe. The salt at the tables is fine though. They put a purple marker in my food to mark it as an allergy. The only thing I got that I don’t normally get is coleslaw.

It did not take long after for me to know I was sick. I was just hoping to make it home on time to get to the bathroom.

Staff seems to be knowledgeable about preparing gluten free food safely. Their fries are fried separate from breaded chicken and other glutenous foods in their own fryer. They have gluten free buns. They have staff change their gloves, etc.

Gamble with your gut. They get it right 80% of the time, but 20% is too much to gamble with my health. I started doing the lettuce wrap so there’s no bun confusion, and I found bun crumbs in my food.

Great for dining there, horrible if its take-out! When eating there, the manager brought out my food and explained how careful they'd been. I ordered take-out: order was wrong so I waited for them to fix it. Got home and my bun and fries were wrong.....

Maybe I got them on a bad day. RR is usually a go to spot when traveling for me. This one was not busy when I stopped. I went through the explanation of needing to be gf because of celiac with the server. My fries came out with a small piece of fried chicken in it.

I always love this place because of the great selection they have for gluten free but tonight was above and beyond. Our server's name was Adam and while it was his first week there he took extreme precaution and marked allergy alert on our ticket 4 times šŸ˜„. He even took the time to personally tell the cook staff and manager so that if we needed anything there wasn't chance of cross contamination due to ignorance. Next time we go back I'll be asking for him specifically as our waiter!

They have gf buns and fries cooked in a separate container. I always ask for the bun to be well toasted. They have always asked if it is an "allergy" or food preference. The staff told me if it is an "allergy" (celiac safe) that it is prepared on a different station. So far I have eaten here several times and have not had any issues. I usually eat simple grilled chicken and leave very satisfied. As usual, ask for the gf bun to be well toasted and it makes it better. People who don't eat gf don't know that toasting makes it tastier!

Ordered the french onion soup which was on the gluten free menu (without the bread topping). I asked for no bread topping and they brought it out to me with it anyway. I kindly asked them to bring me a new one with no bread and made it clear I was severely allergic. They brought me a new one that appeared to have no bread. I started eating, took several bites and got to the bottom of the bowl only to realize they stuffed the bread at the bottom instead!! My mom was pissed and called the manager over and he was less than apologetic, even offered to bring me a THIRD bowl of soup but by then I was already feeling miserable and just wanted to leave. This was a few years ago so they may be better now but that was the last time I have ever eaten there. Very bad experience and missed a week of school because of being glutened from nothing but staff carelessness.

just visited and had a terribly hard gf bun. talked to the manager and he said it's the new buns they will be serving. I seriously could not chew the edges and the bun fell apart while eating it. I go to Red Robin to enjoy a burger on a bun. If this is the bun they offer I will not return.

My first time at a Red Robin and I loved it! Had a burger and fries (gluten free) and they came with a little purple stick in it to indicate gluten allergy. Waitress was wonderful! (They also have pretty good ranch)

Notified server GF, ALLERGY. Ordered a burger GF bun. Fine until I quickly remembered that it had steak sauce on it ISN’T GF. After asking this server about it, he didn’t know so he wouldn’t ask the chef and he didn’t know so he sent the bottle out to me. It clearly states that it has barley vinegar in the ingredients. Seriously disappointing that the kitchen staff is preparing “gluten-free food” and they have no idea what has or doesn’t have gluten in it.

Nice way to ruin the end of my trip. And will be sick for the next couple of weeks.

Always a reliable choice. Red Robin's online allergen menu is extremely helpful and in-depth, symptomatic celiac been coming here for many years and never had a problem. It's not fine dining or anything but it's about as good as it gets for a huge chain restaurant like this.
