Unfortunately, our kitchen is not gluten-free so we cannot guarantee cross-contamination will not occur because of shared surfaces and equipment, like our fryers.
Folks with Celiac may not want to risk it.
The proteins we offer that don't contain gluten are chicken breast, turkey breast, bologna (select locations), pulled pork, and our sausages.
Coleslaw, potato salad, and green beans are likely the most gluten friendly sides currently in the restaurants.
My review: I had the chicken and potato salad. They were still pretty good but not my usual go to BBQ choices. Thus Im not enthusiastic to come again
I would not recommend this place if you’re gluten sensitive or celiac.
I was very hopeful when I went in, they have an allergen menu and seemed like they were accommodating after I told them I am a diagnosed celiac.
First issue is that you will have to make some assumptions between the allergen menu and main menu and there are not a lot of options for you to eat.
I made my order with no problem, I got a salad and it came out with no croutons. I thought this is a good sign. However, when I got my meal, there was a piece of bread nestled between my proteins. I told the server that I needed to have it remade. Here is where the trouble starts. The server was annoyed and said she can just take the bread off. I insisted that it was remade and she walked off angrily.
When she brought my food again it looked like it was just thrown on my plate but no bread. I accepted it and did not think about it until a few hours later when I was in the restroom suffering from being glutened.
Thinking back to what the plate looked like, it looks like she just removed the bread and some of the meat that may have been touching the bread.
This place is not safe!
