My wife and I went here tonight for dinner. It was meh! The food wasn’t great (good enough) but nothing special. Food was pretty bland and didn’t have a lot of flavor. I had 3 enchiladas (I’m celiac), my wife had the Budin, and we shared the chips/salsa/guacamole. The guacamole was very tasty but could’ve been spicer. Ordered medium (for my wife) but didn’t have any kick unfortunately. The guacamole was the highlight of the food. Now keep in mind the guacamole was $16, which is over the top for price. Personally, out of the meals we have had during the past 3 days this the our least favorite. On a side note I have celiac and I DIDN’T get sick. So the food is safe but just not very tasty.
Excellent food and service. The chips and salsa are gf,band there are several gf options on the menu, including brunch. My husband had the mole enchiladas which sadly were not gf. He said it was the best mole he's had in the US.
Menu was clearly labeled “GF”, and the server knew exactly what we needed and confirmed both on the order ticket and then personally that the kitchen understood the celiac/allergy focus for our food. Everything was tasty. Also witnessed interaction of the manager (I think) explain apologetically for a customer’s food being delivered late to the table; explained there was a mistake in the kitchen and would not charge the customer for the food because of the delay—incredible service!
This is definitely one to remember if I ever go back to Boston. The chips and salsa given to the table are gluten free, as well as a number of entrees. I got the enchiladas Suizas which although a little spicy, I really liked and I devoured. Also recommend the hibiscus iced tea which I really liked
Lots of GF options, clearly marked on menu. Staff knowledgeable; assured me that the tortilla chips are fried in a fryer dedicated only for tortilla chips. Both GF and non-GF people in my group were happy with their food! The pork with grilled pineapple was really good!
I’m gluten and Dairy Free. After looking for dairy free on this app, this restaurant came up. The menu is clearly marked for gluten free, but not for dairy. And although they list the ingredients, they don’t always list dairy. I asked for no cheese on the main meal but didn’t know the zucchini noodles and beans and rice would have cheese on them. When our meal came everything had cheese on it and they told us they could not make that meal without the cheese. So I asked for the menu again and the waiter shook his head walking away. We re-ordered making sure there was no cheese. There were only about 3 options. I will give them points because the manager personally came to our table, explained what happened, and made sure our food was good to go and had the kitchen rush it out. It was very good in the end. Just some miscommunication.
This place is awesome! They clearly mark the menu with GF for ease of ordering. The chips are in a dedicated fryer and the guacamole is delicious. We went twice on our trip. The waiters were so kind!Me and my mom were so excited to eat there. They had Gluten free Tacos.I loved this place.
As someone w Celiac Disease, eating out requires homework, and a great server who understands dietary restrictions, and will communicate w the chef. Mine was perfect. All food was served properly, and he assure me that all were gluten free. Rosa Mexicano delivered true gluten free (no criss contamination) entrees that made me feel like a normal diner.
Chips are made in a dedicated fryer! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and could tell me which drinks I should stay away from. Their food is made out of fresh ingredients and they offer most of the menu as gluten free. It’s also delicious!
Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Safe for Celiacs alike. Chips have a dedicated frier. The guacamole is on point and the carnitas were excellent! Perfectly slow cooked, yet crispy on the ends. The corn tortillas were super fresh. No issues here!
GF options are marked on the menu clearly. Had the mushroom tacos because it was basically the only veg and GF option available (delicious). Guacamole was $15 which I found absurd. Chips and salsa were also GF, I was told by the server that they have a dedicated fryer for the chips.
Even if the service was so so, everything we had as marked as gluten free (many options on the menu) tested GF on Nima, was very very good and I didn’t have symptoms. Will definitely go again! We had guacamole with chips, the chicken nachos and the skirt steak.
I am celiac and ate at this location because it was a 10 minute walk from the 911 Memorial. The food was delicious. I ate at the bar because I was alone but I would recommend getting a table with a server who knows the gluten-free menu options better. I did not have any reaction to the food.
