Excellent service & delicious food! I was stoked to find a sushi restaurant with a dedicated GF fryer so I could enjoy tempura rolls once again. Our server was very knowledgeable & helpful with both GF & vegetarian recommendations. The patio was lovely & dog friendly. I highly recommend the small plate cauliflower, the moonflower canyon roll & the Eddie out roll. I can’t wait to go back & eat here again soon!

Wow, such a great experience! Started with the gf Beer (IPA), mussel shooters (do not miss), tempera shrimp😋, a specialty roll and the tempera bananas and ice cream. It was all lovely and GF. As a bonus we sat at the bar and watched the 5 staff members make all the sushi. Lovely night, not to be missed.

Fantastic place and worth every dollar you spent. Had Sushi here on the 2nd night of our stay in Moab and it was amazing! Most items on the menu are gf, they even have safely fried gf tempura as their fryer is only used for gf ingredients and their batters are all made from rice flour. Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. It‘s definitely not a super cheap place to eat, but watching the chefs prepare our food at the bar with such passion for every detail was amazing.

Cannot say enough great things about Sabaku! We ate here during our 2-day, 1-night stay to Arches National Park. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about GF, all of their tempura batter is GF, and they have dedicated fryers! Plus, GF dessert options feat. tempura fried GF Oreos. A must-eat stop for a celiac.

The food is delicious! They have everything gluten free clearly marked and I had a very knowledgeable waitress about various modifications they can make to create gluten free modifications to others. They have gluten free soy sauce upon request and a dedicated fryer! Amazing.

Amazing and fun selection of sushi! Almost everything is GF including the tempura batter and fried. Tried a ton of rolls and all were delicious. Waitress was knowledgeable about celiac and offered advice and substitutions where needed. This was our favorite dinner out in Moab! Reservations highly recommended. It was busy!

Excellent restaurant. The sever even inquired about my level of sensitivity so she could let the kitchen know what type of precautions to take. I was quite impressed. They had a lot of GF options, and so, I over- ordered because I was so excited! We had the chili wings, two appetizers and 3 orders of sushi. So delicious - I highly recommend this place. Call ahead for reservations; it’s not a big place.

Incredible sushi! Everything on the menu is labeled whether it’s gf or not. GF soy sauce available too. They even had a dessert on the menu with gluten free Oreos! Highly recommend.

I called ahead of time and the manager said they could be extra careful and most of the menu can be made GF/is naturally GF. They have a dedicated fryer and although no separate prep area they can clean the it well. The waitress was understanding. My partner and I shared the spider roll, fiery furnace, and Cali roll. All amazing, best sushi I've had in awhile! And I didn't have a reaction. Definitely check this place out if you're in town.

Update: went back for a second time and it was just as amazing if not better! I got the sunshine roll and dessert roll. Love how fresh their fish is!

We live on the coast and love sushi. This place was so good and fresh. They were out of the elk so wasn’t able to try that. I didn’t see the pork ribs until after we ordered so want to try that next time. They have dedicated fryers.

Sushi was good for being in the middle of a desert. Nice and knowledgeable staff. Agedashi tofu is not very authentic and tempura is a bit on the crispy side. I would stick with the basics and you will have a great meal! They make sure to clean prep station for you and have gluten free soya sauce and well as real crab in their rolls so you don’t have to worry about the gluten in the imitation crab.

So. Much. Yummy. The vast majority of the menu is GF. We had a GF passion fruit tiramisu for dessert, delicious. The kids menu chicken and rice isn’t gluten free, but they made my daughter an alternative- grilled chicken. Service was great- we got in just before the rush, looks like it gets really busy.

This place is fantastic. Sushi is a rarity for me anymore and almost everything on the menu is GF or has a gluten free option. Their tempura is gluten free and the friers are also gf. They have tamari sauce. Our waitress was super knowledgeable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Absolutely LOVED everything we tried! My husband, four kids, and I especially loved the dessert rolls! The kids menu had a chicken and rice entree that my pickiest eaters enjoyed! If you like sushi or tempura, this is a “must stop!” I am a highly reactive celiac and had no reaction.

Had a wonderful dinner of sushi tonight. Our server was great with recommending gf alternatives. We had the southwestern edamame, three different rolls (two with gf tempura, nigiri and finished off dinner with a dessert sushi roll (fresh fruit roll in tempura and topped with hot fudge)

This is the safest place in Moab that I found here on FMGF. They do not have GF chicken katsu as another poster may have accidentally inferred. They do have a lot of choices and their sauces are mostly GF, which is rare. Desert was GF tempura fruit with ice cream and awesome.

Wow what an awesome restaurant!!! My husband and I found this restaurant while visiting Moab. To begin with, the staff greets you at the door and makes you feel very welcome. They definitely understand what Gluten Free means and actually embraces it. The menu was not huge but very ample. I ordered a sushi roll “ Boogie Roll” with tempura shrimp, avocado, tofu and topped with a slightly spicy red sauce. It was really good. My husband ordered the “Surf and Turf” Sushj roll which contained elk and fish. Both offerings were delicious. I also had tempura shrimp which were of course fried and so good, something I never get to eat when I go out to eat. The miso soup was good. For dessert we had fried bananas and they were also tasty. We also tried their hot tea which was citrus and a hint of ginger, very refreshing. Our bill was 80.00, which may seem a little high but we were served a wonderful, quality meal, the best meal we have had in a while.

What a find! We stayed out playing a little longer than expected and ended up back in Moab at almost 9. We were thrilled this fantastic find was open, but even more thrilled with the menu!!! There wasn't a dedicated menu because pretty much everything is already gluten free. My Celiac kiddos were able to have their first gluten free tempura and my son loved the chicken katsu. We had appetizers, rolls, and entrees and everything was phenomenal.

Amazing find in Moab! We ate there twice on our trip. They also can accommodate dairy free and latex free as well as gluten free. Had Miso soup, shrimp tempura, veggie tempura, delicious rolls and the most amazing dessert roll! It was strawberry, banana and blackberry in a fried rice sushi roll with GF DF chocolate on top. Highly recommend!!

An amazing find in the desert on vacation! Most of the menu is naturally gluten free, even the delicious tempura. They also have a dedicated GF fryer. Plus, they have a separate menu identifying items that HAVE gluten in order to avoid them. Our server was wonderful, especially with our ornery 6year old. Oh and the food is delicious! We had the mussel shooters, elk tataki, shrimp tempura, a few sushi rolls and all was excellent. We even went back a second time in five days by request of our 6 & 10 yr olds. If you're in Moab, run straight here!
