I received a gift card to several restaurants and this one was on it. I decided to try it for happy hour after calling ahead. The flatbread pizza was delish and I loved the wine. I told the waitstaff that I had celiac and I needed gluten free. they have a gluten sensitive menu that had several items on it. I felt safe.
We had great meals and the staff seemed well-versed on GF options and restrictions. I've eaten the lamb loin, GF flatbread with short ribs, and dessert which was just the filling that goes in their cannolis (without the shell, of course). IF you get that dessert, make sure they fix you a fresh one and don't just pull out the little cookie shell.
. Our group of nine came here during a water taxi tour and as I was ordering, checked I was only GF not dairy free as well when I ordered the mashed potatoes that have cream in them. They brought my food out and did confirm it was GF. Very good service and welcoming upon arrival!
We had a tasty lunch and the staff was conscientious about alerting the kitchen I’m celiac. The hostess and waiter each told me my food would be prepared with separate utensils in a separate area. The GF dinner menu has numerous options so we plan to return to try it.
Staff was very accommodating about options for GF and select DF. They have a special allergen menu with options for each but not one for multiple allergens. I had to still do some flipping of menu and ask many questions and still make special requests. However, they were offered and fulfilled graciously, at least as far as the waitress goes. As first time guests, we tried the roasted mushroom flatbread as an appetizer and it was really good. Meal was a bit pricey but good. We would go back.
Ordered directly from the “gluten sensitive” menu and informed the server that I had a wheat allergy. She assured me that she would let the kitchen know. Food was just okay. Unfortunately about an hour later I was sick. I’m not extremely sensitive and usually do okay at restaurants. Will not be returning.
Many, many options on a GF menu! They call it “Gluten Sensitive” because there is a chance of cross contamination, but menu states that dishes do NOT use gluten containing ingredients and, as you can watch the kitchen work through the glass, obvious steps were taken to reduce/eliminate any cross contamination. The Head Chef/Kitchen Manager will not hesitate to send a dish back if he feels it is not suitable to be taken to the table. They have fresh, seasonal dishes- Menu will change seasonally. Amazing food- lobster flatbread, roasted cauliflower, sea bass with snow peas and black rice, cherry cream brûlée. Flatbread contains no Xanthan Gum. Staff was accommodating, informed and caring. Manager came to our table. I’m an extremely sensitive Celiac and did NOT get sick. I will eat here every time that we are in Memphis! For a restaurant that is not a dedicated GF facility, they do 100% better than most at efforts to eliminate any cross contamination.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a gf menu and they say there is a separate food station and the staff is trained when it comes to allergies and cross contamination. Gluten free flat bread pizza that are on their own individual cooking pan in the stone oven. That was a treat! I am very sensitive and I had a great experience eating here.
Stopped in for a light lunch and had two different and delicious Gluten free flat breads. It was perfect for two of us! The waitress informed us that the entire kitchen staff changed gloves for my order and used clean utensils and the executive chef personally made our meal and brought it to our table. It was a wonderful dining experience!
I’ve eaten the sockeye salmon with veggies and a GF flatbread another time. Each visit they took careful precautions with me. I’ve eaten here three times in the last 7 months (since my diagnosis) with no problem. For a dessert they offered the peanut butter chocolate mousse! It was delicious! You may have to ask for it as each server isn’t aware. However, they do have a decent GF menu.
Excellent restaurant with excellent staff, but not really gluten free. No special preparation whatsoever, just a gluten free menu that tells you which dish to order and then you’re supposed to tell them take this or that off. Our waiter (although) very nice didn’t write anything down thus increasing the chance, and tension that something could go wrong. There is no dedicated fryer, special area for preparation, they’re not cleaning off work area or knives so contamination is going to happen. Can’t say enough good about the place, quality of food and people there, but if you’re gluten free you’re going to get exposed and if you’re celiac you’re going to get sick.
My5th visit over last 2 years and still deserving of 5 stars. Great selection of options on the GF menu. My favorite flatbread is the mushroom. The rainbow trout with heirloom carrots were cooked to perfection and spectacular! Limited dessert options but raspberry cannoli without the cannoli was delicious.
SO excited that they offer not only a Gluten Free menu but also a Dairy Free menu. I had the rainbow trout and it was delicious! The heritage carrots were a different twist to a boring vegetable. Yummy! This is an upscale, pricey restaurant but definitely worth it for a special occasion!
VERY confused on why people are saying the menu is limited. 10+ appetizer options and so many more entrees. Also sides. All of the weight staff knows what to do and it is my go to place when eating out with friends as i dont need to fight to have safe food.
Excellent meal. Excellent service. Large GF menu and they understand GF very well. They have delicious GF flatbread that everyone else enjoyed too! I️ got the one with roasted mushrooms— but looked at the one with lobster— sea scallops were grilled perfectly. They had a GF dessert— cannoli filling in a small shooter. It was good too. Lively bar area. Reservations necessary for after 7 dining.
Safe meal, but I did not enjoy myself here. I don't like legalistic adherence to the words "Gluten Sensitive" as opposed to "Gluten Free." My meal was handed to me as "gluten sensitive chicken." LOL. My guests, who eat "normal" food, were underwhelmed by the amount and quality of their dinners. Food took 45 minutes to come out. Normally I'm not picky when restaurants make an effort to accommodate me safely, but the attitude felt grudging, the food was mediocre for the up-scale marketing, and the bill was too high for what we were served.
