Person taking orders was knowledgeable on safe handling practices for gluten free. She assured me that staff changes gloves and the order would come out in a separate bag. They have GF burger buns. Fryer is used for more than just fries so could be cross contamination. When the employee brought the order out from the back, she made sure to tell me which bag was gluten free and proactively told me that all precautions were taken and gloves were changed. I was very pleased with the experience. My Celiac daughter said it was the best burger she’s had in a long time!
Shake shack was very helpful and had lots of options for someone who is both gluten and dairy free. Their gluten free buns were good. They also had gluten free fries but I’m not sure if they were made in a separate fryer. Definitely recommend.
Most Shake Shack locations offer gluten-free buns for burgers. A lettuce wrap is also an option.
I didn’t realize Shake Shack offered gluten free items. I was so excited to be able to eat here. I’m gluten intolerant and can handle small amounts of cross contamination. So I don’t know if the fries would be okay for celiacs. The gluten free burger bun was delicious! It had a great texture and didn’t fall apart as some will do. It was also nice to have a selection of shake choices that don’t contain wheat. Surprisingly, I had a sugar cookie holiday shake. Everything was so good, that I had to make sure to spread the word!
I had the gluten free bun Hamburger. I do not think it was gluten free. Next day I had blood in stool and will not talk about the rest. I did not check with waiter that the bun was gluten free. I think they brought the wrong bun. Tasted to good. Self server when you order. I did check gluten free. Make sure you ask the server before you eat.
Gluten free buns are available, fries are in a separate fryer from their other deep fried (gluten) items. Some of the shakes are gluten free (but none of the holiday ones are). The person we spoke to who seemed to be a manager was really helpful.
