If you do the self order, you can put in that you have a gluten allergy by hitting allergy information. From then on it would say once you clicked on it if it has gluten in it or not. I then got to say what I order and it was brought in a separate tray than my boyfriend who didn’t order gluten free. The buns were really good but the fries are not gluten free

I order in the app which was easy to do. It allowed me to select a gluten free option for the bun. Now as far as the food the burger was delicious. The bun look questionable and it look like they tried to semi toast it. Nevertheless it was over all a decent burger. FRIES ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE. I didn’t eat them but did a little digging before I ordered from them.

Most Shake Shack locations offer gluten-free buns for burgers. A lettuce wrap is also an option.
I got the Avacodo Bacon Burger on a GF bun without cheese because I am allergic to dairy. They offer lettuce wraps for burgers as well.

8/28/24 update: Today I learned they cook gluten bread on the same surface they make the burgers. Very disappointing. They did offer to clean the grill off 1st. This explains why I would occasionally get sick. Sad because this was a favorite and staff and managers ALWAYS assured me I was safe. Sadly, they are missing important information for CC.
** previous review: They are very knowledgeable about CD. If I don’t get a cashier that is knowledgeable I always ask for a manager. They are very accommodating. They burgers are great and the GF bun tastes great too. The fryer is no a dedicated fryer so I don’t do the French fries. They always get my toppings for my burger from the back. Eaten here around 30 times and never gotten sick.

Gluten free buns available; employee asked if it was a preference or allergy, noted allergy on my receipt and kitchen changed gloves to handle my order. They offered me fries, but I did not ask if they were in a dedicated fryer, and did not order any.

The have GF, but the kiosks are a bit sketchy. Recommend going to the counter to discuss. Edit: not safe. I do not recommend eating here even if you have a gluten pill.

Read on the celiac Reddit from a former employee that they have really good allergy precautions and gluten free workspaces/utensils to make allergy orders. I ordered two lettuce wrapped burgers for me and my daughter and a burger with a bun for my boyfriend to go. On the app there’s a selection to put your allergies and they automatically show up on your order so mine said wheat and gluten allergy. I opened up the bag of food and to my surprise right on top of the lettuce wrapped burger was my boyfriend’s burger with the bun just out in the open on top of the gluten free burgers. To say the least I will never go back there.
