Absolutely fantastic! The food, staff, atmosphere and the whole place is all a hidden gem! Had a great experience tonight. GF fried bang bang Grouper sammie was amazing! GF friend shrimp and their deviled eggs were all great!

Separate GF menu. Large portions, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Go early for happy hour specials. The GF Bang Bang Grouper sandwich was so good, as were the GF fries. Reminded me of McDonalds fries (which I miss). So glad we found this place!

Celiac here 💚Amazing, delicious and safe food! (Fried in a separated frier) I got fried grouper 👍, fried shrimp basket 👍👍 Jay, our server was so friendly and took extra precautions which I really appreciate so much especially when on vacation! Just a relaxing beautiful place! We ate outside in an old boat that they had converted with tables (which was also extra cool)!

Had dinner at Shine. The server was very knowledgeable. I had the grouper sandwich with Carolina slaw, it was very good, fresh fish and very tasty slaw. As another poster mentioned the bun fell apart, so next time we are in town I’ll opt for the grouper bites appetizer and get a side of the slaw. It was happy hour and they had a selection of drinks for only $5!

Yes, we went there because they have a gluten-free menu and the place is cute, the staff was above excellent and the food tasted great. However, I had a gluten reaction.

My wife has Celiac so we decided to try out Shine. Outstanding food. She had the Shine burger with fries and the pimento cheese appetizer. No side effects from anything. We will be going back in the future.

I am so glad I came across 1229 Shine. They have a small gluten friendly menu, but the variety of options is great. I had the fried shrimp and grouper platter with fries and slaw, and it was all delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and didn't mind to answer any of my questions regarding gluten. I will definitely be back.

They had a separate GF menu. The food was delicious, and I didn’t get sick. There was GF ciabatta bread with the pimento dip that did NOT taste GF and that never happens with bread. Can’t wait to eat here again!

Fantastic! My daughter and I both gf due to strong sensitivity. We shared grouper bites, deviled eggs topped with lobster, and a fried chicken sandwich - all outstanding! Best part, no reaction whatsoever. Very cute place. I will definitely return!

By far one of my favorite spots for gluten free food in Myrtle Beach! I’ve tried it all and it’s all delicious!!

Absolutely fantastic! GF menu, lots of options. Oysters were delicious, Viet Cajun boil was excellent, although a tad spicy for me. Also tried the lobster deviled eggs. They need more lobster, but we’re good anyway. Service was only okay, but the atmosphere ( we chose outside on a beautiful night) more than made up for that! Definitely recommend!

This restaurant was SO good. The grouper bites and fried chicken sandwich were 10/10. The blackberry mule was good as well. The service was great, we sat at the bar and really enjoyed our experience. I felt safe eating here and it was the best gluten free restaurant we’ve had in the area.

AMAZING!! Had the GF fried chicken sandwich and GF fries- so delicious, ate every bite and stomach feels good. Good Paloma too. Waitress was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Bonus- pet friendly outdoor seating, and brought a nice big bowl of cold water for our girl. Hope we have time to go back before we leave town!

One of the best gluten free experiences I’ve ever had. Waiter was awesome, and the separate gluten free menu was extensive. I got the fried chicken sandwich, fries, shrimp cocktail, and the deviled eggs with lobster on top. All were amazing and safe. Gluten free bun was also great. If you’re eating gluten free in Myrtle Beach, this should be #1 on your list.

Pretty much 99% of the menu can be made gf. The bun is typical & falls apart but the food is so good you don’t even notice. The lobster deviled eggs are TO DIE FOR. They were seriously so good. I felt so satisfied with my dining experience & the atmosphere is great. If you’re gf in MB, you must eat here.

My mom and I are Celiac and we got the Bang Bang Grouper Sammie w/ fries & a Fried Chicken Sammie w/ fries both on a GF toasted bun. Shine has two separate fryers so there isn’t cross contamination with the fried foods. Mom is super sensitive to trace gluten, but is super happy with this experience. Sammies were the bomb. 10/10.

I ordered the Gluten free chicken sandwich, but I have dairy allergies as well. By the time we finally figured out what was needed to make my order Gluten and Dairy free, I was left with an extremely thin piece of dry, breaded chicken between two thick, dry pieces of gluten free Udis bread. The fries were thin and extremely overcooked, and very bland. My dad, who did not order gluten free, got thick, delicious looking fries. My mom was disappointed to find that the fried grouper and shrimp were not dairy free, and shared my disappointment in the fried chicken sandwich. For someone who needs only gluten free, you may have a much better experience than I did. I hope you all have better luck than me.

Great place. Will go back! Small gluten free menu, but has a little of everything. We ordered oysters (grilled and raw), the fried shrimp platter, fried shrimp and grouper platter, and a burger. Everything was very good (slaw was a little bland). We are sensitive celiac and no issues. The manager said they have A separate gf space in kitchen. Frier is dedicated.

Great experience! Staff was knowledgeable. Separate fryer. Good options. I had a caesar salad, cheeseburger, and fries. I never get to eat fries so this was quite a treat. GF bun was given for burger. Food was really good. I’m celiac and will definitely go back.

The food was really good but, just be careful with pricing. They do not do happy hour prices for gluten free though there is no difference between regular and gluten free items (such as deviled eggs are exactly the same but gluten free are 2 halves for $14 and happy hour are $5). We ordered a bunch of stuff off happy hour menu only to get our bill with full price charges. Also, happy hour is not a deal at all. (2 happy hour mussels are $7 and 4 regular mussels are $14)

The gluten free menu is huge. They do a great job with avoiding CC. I am very sensitive and ate here twice with no issues. Had fried chicken with fries one time. And fried shrimp with fries, slaw and bang bang sauce the 2nd. They have dedicated fryers for the fried food and fries. Service is also great! They also offer a full bar.

Went her because of recommendations in a local GF Facebook group. Had a fried chicken sandwich on a GF bun. They have a dedicated fryer. Sandwich was good as were the fries. My husband got regular fries and you could see that they were different. They had fish fry baskets available (shrimp, or fish) with fries, burgers, bang bang shrimp, etc. while not a huge menu, there was enough to choose from and I was happy with what I had. I would definitely go back!
