I had to asked to three different persons about my gluten free options, the first waitress couldn’t understand what I was saying and the second one seemed a little bit confused.

I guess the cooker was the one whom actually explained everything about the ingredients.

Easy walk from the cruise ship, lots of choice on the menu for us. Very friendly and helpful service, food was tasty, could have been hotter but it was worth the visit.

The owner is very kind and knows a lot about coeliacs and can inform you about everything on their menu. They also have some glutenfree dessert listed on their menu. Very nice place!

Safest I've felt eating in Malaysia. Make sure you get the lovely woman owner to serve you as she knows a lot about coeliac disease and cross contamination. She clearly has a love for cooking, especially her desserts.

I'm a vegetarian so just had the cheesy chips but to be fair it is a BBQ place so no complaints there, the cheesy chips were absolutely delicious. For dessert there is a GF apple cobbler, chocolate mousse and panacotta. I tried all of them and they are very delicious. Owner said she may be adding new gf items to the menu this year and they might also do a pop-up in Kuala Lumpur.

The owner of this restaurant is a lovely lady who is well-informed about coeliac disease and cross-contamination. The gluten-free options were not marked on the menu, but she came to speak to us and went through the menu with us, and answered any questions we had. Most of the meat items are gf, and there is also a gf frier, so there was a good amount of choice, although not many vegetarian options. The food was really tasty. There were also three gf desserts, which were all delicious. The owner was very friendly and clearly cares a lot about providing gluten-free options, and was very well-informed and aware. I highly recommend this spot

Absolutely delicious, tasted like I was back in the USA. Owner very friendly and helped with gf choices. Chips have a dedicated frier and were the best. Will definitely be going back when next in Penang.

Really good experience. 2 waiters knew about gluten free and there were a lot of options. They swap out Mac and cheese and the bread rolls for fries.

The lady owner was very knowledgeable about coeliac disease and always has Gluten free options. They were not obvious on the menu, but I asked if she had options and she guided me through. I had pulled Pork, mash potatoes & coleslaw, it was delicious and the service was wonderful. I didn't have any problems. I would highly recommend 👌

Hello, I was struggling to find gluten free places to eat that weren’t commercialised chains, and we found this place with great reviews. A little about the experience, 5 star all around, service was great, the lovely lady mentioned the many gluten free options they have, such as brisket, chicken, pork belly, lamb shoulder. It’s nice having a place that doesn’t just offer rice and chicken thigh! The chips are all gluten free as well as they fry in separate fryer and she even created a lot of the desserts from scratch to accommodate celiacs, 5 stars, I would highly recommend and soon she will have gluten free carrot cake and gluten free bread. If you go please leave a big tip, it is well deserved! Very tasty food as well, everything came out hot and crispy, I’m writing this the next day and don’t feel sick in the slightest so there was no cross contamination, she explained she has regular gluten free customers and has a big heart so accommodates to their interests so everyone can experience barbecue.

We had a fantastic experience. The owner was friendly and had excellent knowledge of coeliacs disease and HF. We spoke to her at length, and she explained how she had learned from her previous experiences. She explained which dishes to go for. Fries done in a separate fryer. Lots on menu was GF. Her cute intelligent son (the boss!) kept us entertained. They even kept the restaurant open longer tor us. Lovely family run business.

Great experience here with Tan Eik Hong who explained a regular customer is Gluten-Free so they take it seriously. She knew and explained about the sauces to avoid which had "a little soy sauce" in and made a special GF version. Swapped bread for fries and confirmed these were done in a dedicated fryer. Everything except the pork ribs was GF in the meat section. Coleslaw, mashed potatoes were GF and there are 4 potential GF dessert options: Eton mess, choc mousse, panacotta and apple cobbler which takes 30 mins to bake. It was lovely to know that everything was safe!

Best barbecue in Penang! Most all their meat is gluten-free, GF BBQ sauce, owner and staff are knowledgeable about GF. Fries have a dedicated fryer.
