Arrived after 8pm into Denver. Food was great. Waiter was knowledgeable and said they do have a designated fryer for gluten free. The tortilla chips are made in a shared fryer.
Had the crispy buffalo cauliflower and the risotto. Both great but a lot of food, come hungry!
Waiter recommended the seltzer on tap because I don’t like sweet ciders. It was similar to a High Noon and fine (Snowcap or something like that).
Amazing experience - I had the mushroom and truffle risotto with blackened chicken and it was delicious! We also had the fried calamari-the first I have seen GF calamari in 2 years! It was better than any calamari I’ve ever had! Waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate about celiac and gluten. Would definitely recommend this place and would come back next time we are in Denver. 10/10
Disappointed despite the reviews. I tried to eat here on a Sunday around 2pm. They were moderately busy, not slammed, we (party of 5) were seated right away. LOTS of misrepresentations on the menu. The chips and salsa are listed as GF on the menu but the waiter said the chips are fried in the shared fryer. I ordered the chicken chop salad with no blue cheese. Very slow service. The rest of my party ordered apps. When my salad did come out, it had the blue cheese on it. The runner who brought it was super annoyed at my husband when he kindly asked her to take it back. So between the misrepresentations on the menu (there were more than the chips) and her super negative attitude about the salad, I didn’t feel comfortable eating there. My husband and I left and went to Blue Agave Grill. The kids stayed and waited for their food. I wouldn’t go back here.
I stopped here for dinner and was not disappointed! There are several GF choices, from appetizers to main dishes, and everything is clearly labeled. The buffalo cauliflower and turkey club were great, although the bun did fall apart pretty quickly (typical, haha). I did avoid the fried items because of prior reviews questioning whether the “dedicated” fryer is actually dedicated GF, but there were still plenty of menu items to choose from!
Unfortunately, I need to stay stay away. We sat down and when trying to order they said that when it’s busy, the dedicated fryer becomes not so dedicated. Then, they said that even thought they offer a GF bun, everything is prepared on the same line. As we already ordered wine, we drank that and left. Would not recommend.
I was hopeful but confused based on mentions of the fryer in reviews here; luckily I had an awesome server who asked me about my allergy and ability to handle cross-contamination when I tried to order a gf burger and fries. While someone working the appetizer station at the bar tried to correct her and say “fries are gluten free!” (honestly I’m sure they were trying to be helpful and were just misinformed, not malicious) she shook her head at me kindly and repeated that the frier had other gluten items fried in it so fries and tortilla chips weren’t safe, and confirmed the burger could be made safely with her adding a warning to the order. Burger was delicious and I got a salad instead of fries - salad was tasty but you know, a salad. I don’t want to deter anyone from going here since I didn’t have issues - but hopefully this helps you make informed choices, and fingers crossed you’ll have the same amazing (also newly gluten free) waitress to be straight up and advocate for you!
We eat here every time we go to Denver, which is twice a year. My last trip was a bit of a disappointment because they no longer have gluten-free fish and chips. However they do have many gluten-free options. One of the few restaurants in Denver where I can actually eat the french fries. No cross-contamination.
Dedicated GF fryer and their tempura batter is GF. I didn’t get sick but I was apprehensive because their seared ahi tuna salad was marked as GF even though the wonton strips and fish roe are not GF. I clarified that I get sick from cross contamination in advance and they said that they remade the whole salad before bringing it out because the chef realized the roe was not GF after they had put it on. Unfortunately, no one else in our group (none of them are GF) was impressed by the food.
Super chill classy environment. GF is clearly marked on menu. I had the Brussels which were good but pretty basic. Then I had the fish and chips! So good!! The batter was delicious and the fish flaky. I highly recommend.
Had the fish and chips it was a good option. They have the menu clearly marked with gf options. They have a separate fryer as well.
Many gf options, including gf fries in a designated gf fryer. Staff was knowledgeable and immediately provided info. Menu is labeled with all gf options.
Sounds like maybe they have upped their training. Great gf options including fish and chips (note it’s not a traditional fluffy batter, but yummy). I think all fried things were already gf. Our waiter was great with checking on everything for our also dairy allergic needs.
Staff is clueless about what does/doesn't contain gluten. Was served queso (was with a group - did not order it myself), that the waitress assured me was GF; it wasn't, and I was sick for a week because of it. When I called the next day to ask the manager if it was GF, she tried to blame me and said I should have checked the menu (I was never given a menu). Perhaps she needs to train her staff better instead of blaming customers. Have had other food here in the past, it's just standard hotel food. Recommend going elsewhere if you are in downtown Denver.
Their staff had 0 knowledge of what ingredients contained gluten. The chef came out and spoke to us and the wrong item arrived at the table and the waitress assured me it was gf... I took a few bites and then her coworker comes over and says it's not gf. It took half an hour to even put in an order and the restaurant is more than half empty. Save yourself the stomach ache and go elsewhere.
They label things on the menu as GF that are NOT gluten free. I have celiac and thank God my waitress knew about CC and different sauces having gluten. I tried to order two items off the menu labeled as GF, and after I told her I had celiac, she mentioned they weren't actually entirely gluten free. Horrendous. I've never been a restaurant that labels gluten free items that absolutely contain gluten.
No attention to detail. Had to remake order before it left the kitchen and still gave me food where after a bite I knew was not right.
