First visit to the UK since being diagnosed celiac nearly 10 years ago, and have never been more excited to have fish and chips. These did not disappoint! Knowledgable servers, offered gf vinegar in place of the malt. Delicious gf beer options too. Highly recommend!

This is easily my favorite GF spot in St. Andrews. Having read their allergen guidance guide that they train all employees with I can confirm this place is top notch. They can do almost everything GF, and many gluten eaters I know say the GF battered fish is actually even better than the normal battered! Love that they do both a takeaway and dining option.

Excellent experience- host was very thorough explaining the options (almost everything on the menu) to my Coeliac son, they offer GF batter and have a dedicated GF fryer. Food came out separately from other mains, server announced it was GF & food had a Gluten Free flag in it. My son said it was delicious & no different to regular battered fish - he is only recently diagnosed as Coeliac. We didn’t have it but GF beer also available. 10/10!

I had GF fish and chips -- the best haddock I've ever had, I think. They worried that they had cross contaminated my appetizer and took it away and started over. The very young waitress was a little unclear about it, but the adults in charge were excellent.

Last night I had the GF fried shrimp and chips. It was absolutely delicious - the batter was so light and crispy. The server was so helpful when I told him I had Celiac. They have a gf brownie with salted caramel ice cream on the dessert menu but I was too full from dinner to try it. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The gluten free fish and chips are back and very good! They even had a little toothpick marking it as gluten free.

Sadly, they have discontinued the GF fish and chips. They offer only grilled options now.

My review is based on service + not food as unfortunately they were currently not doing gluten free batter when we visited so wasn’t able to try the fish so can’t comment! So just had chips! Which was sad but the service was SO friendly and always met with a smile even though the restaurant was very busy the staff were just lovely.
They have a separate fryer for gluten free items and also the chips have their own fryer too to avoid cross contamination! :)
Would definitely visit again and hopefully get to try the gluten free fish next time :) my husband { isn’t gluten free } enjoyed his meal very much and said the fish was delicious! 🐟

The GF fish and chips is phenomenal. Recommend not going during busy times as the kitchen will make the call to not do the GF batter if they're too busy, but I went twice after lunch (around 2PM) and they were happy to do the GF batter and I had no issues either time. The fish was crispy and the batter is amazing - not "amazing for GF" but amazing-amazing. The chips are double-fried so they're crispy on the outside. Separate fryer. GF brownies available for dessert. Staff is knowledgable about cross-contamination and gluten ingredients.
