Perhaps it was because of the previous review, but they asked me if I wanted them to change gloves for the gf burger! Yay! So, thank you Ted’s and the prior reviewer.
Yes
The staff working had no idea what a gluten allergy was. Asked to switch gloves etc. and they seemed pretty annoyed by it. They put regular buns on the grill with the meats so lots of cc. I was Glutened :(
Love to visit Ted's when I am in town. First visit since my celiac diagnosis. I was excited that they offer gluten free buns now so I could enjoy the full hot dog experience. The server was careful and changed gloves and the bun was wrapped separately. It was hard to pass up on those great smelling onion rings but it was still worth visiting!
Good burger and fries
Yes
I found that Ted's is generally pretty safe you just can't have anything fried due to a shared fryer. But other than that for me the workers have been great about keeping my food separate from gluten and I have had no problems with Ted's Hot Dogs. I highly recommend.

I had something that didn’t make me feel like I was denying myself of a real treat for the first time in a very long time. My family took me to Ted’s Hot Dogs, to celebrate something that only the 3 of us could appreciate as a day in our lives that we are hoping to remember forever. I had a great Hot Dog just like the good old days and I didn’t have to worry about being sick when I got home. A GLUTEN FREE HOT DOG.

Tried to eat here and after ordering, they let me know fries were cross contaminated and all hotdogs buns are cooked on the SAME grill!! There’s nothing gluten free about this restaurant at all. They don’t even try to take precautionary measurements! If you’re in the Buffalo area and you want a hotdog, go to Franks! Everything there is SAFE!

My 13 year old daughter ordered a cheeseburger. As we were walking up to the counter I heard the cook to tell one of the other employees to change their gloves. She would be responsible for handling my daughter’s food from start to finish. It’s now been 4 hours and my daughter is healthy. In regards to options. She cannot have any of the fried foods but she can have a hotdog or hamburg. She said it was very good. You know coming from a teenager, that’s really a compliment.

I don’t know what rolls they use but they’re AWFUL. The roll is tough-like and isn’t worth the extra charge.
