I ate there with some friends on Nov 5 and was very concerned because of some of the reviews. I spoke with the manager who shared what would be done to keep me safe. Stated they had a separate fryer for us. I had a Caesar salad with fries. They went out of their way to make me feel safe and I was fine.

HORRIBLE….food, service everything. While they have a gluten free menu they have uneducated staff. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Good news: The GF menu had a lot of options and my server was knowledgeable and helpful. Bad news: My salad was served with croutons—in the bottom of the dish, so I didn’t see them until I’d eaten a good amount of the salad. The server apologized, removed it from the bill, and offered me another dish, but I would be wary of eating here again. At the very least, I wouldn’t order a salad.
We have just had an excellent meal here. I am gluten intolerant.
They have a gluten free menu and the waitress was very helpful indeed.
I had the bison avalon burger which was really delicious with a very nice gluten free bun.
The setting is quite cosy with booths around the edge and table seating in the middle.
I would definitely eat there again.
Fine glutenfree burger with cheddar and bison - friendly and kind staff 😀
Yes
A solid lunch or dinner locale in midtown. High quality food - bison burgers are great - with care and knowledge about GF.
Yes
They have a separate gluten free menu. I ordered the cedar salmon with broccoli and asparagus. The waiter informed me that those items don’t come into contact with gluten and I didn’t have any issues after. It was a tasty meal!
If I can give it zero stars I would. I am not sensitive to cross contamination, but I do have celiac disease. They fed me wheat and told me it wasn't, and I went home that night and had a seizure from how much gluten they fed me. DO NOT eat here with celiac disease or any intolerance.

Extremely good, despite the limited gluten free options! Our server Maggie was very friendly and helpful, making our first night in New York memorable. The Avalon burger with chicken and gluten free toasted bun was so good! Highly recommend and reasonable priced for New York!

Great g/f menu- yet my son got extremely sick after eating dinner there. Someone dropped the ball...

Staff knowledgeable, at least my server was, and even has a dedicated fryer for French fries.

we ate here last night and the food and service was amazing, very reasonable prices and the best meal I've had in 5 days of being in New York. highly recommend, very knowledgeable staff and very friendly and helpful

Ordered from their "gluten free menu" (sparse) and told them I had a gluten allergy and was violently ill...during a show that I paid a lot of money for tickets for, so spare yourself the pain and skip this place! The salad was tasty, but soooo not worth it!

Food is amazing. I got bison skinny dip burger. Nachos were gluten free. Burger was also gluten free.
Had a great experience. Highly allergic and staff was knowledgable and they had GF menu. Best salmon and broccoli I've had in a long time.

Me and DH's steak dinners came out cold. I was excited to try GF steak salad but it was just plain lettuce, some cucumber, 2 slices of tomato, and cold steak with a tiny drizzle of dressing. Very disappointed. It took over an hour for dinner. Several tables around us sent dinner back. The kids dinners were good though and the only saving grace of the night was that the restaurant gave the kids wiki stix to keep them busy while we waited. Will not go back again, and would not recommend.
Good food. Gf menu. Dedicated fryer for fries.
Very good GF menu and service was good too! We took a fish dish this was ok but no better then that
They were able to make a good gluten free, dairy free meal for my husband and daughter. Gluten free fries are good. Not a lot of selection on the menu. The steaks were not good at all.
Yes
Need GF bread but they did have French fries.
Very willing to accommodate my family's gluten free needs. Spoke with manager about my additional milk/corn sensitivities. If you like fries they fry them in their own GF oil.
Very good food. They take food issues seriously and servers always seem well informed -- a refreshing change from many other GF restaurants.
The waiter was very knowledgeable about cross contact and even stopped by after I had started eating to make sure everything was okay and I wasn't having any issues. Before I could even ask, she offered to have them cook my meal in a clean pan or on foil.
I can't say for sure that it was 100% safe since I'm fairly asymptomatic celiac but I felt very comfortable eating there and had a high confidence that my food was safe.

I ordered a salad without the croutons and added grilled chicken. I haven't had a reaction. The waiter seemed knowledgeable about allergies and said that my food would be handled carefully. It did take a long time to get our food, but the salad was good.

I am gluten free and dairy free. I was able to get the bison burger on the gf bun which is also DF. We got the homemade chips for an appetizer and the fries with my meal, both made in dedicated fryer.

we visited this restaurant based on its good reviews and it’s gluten-free menu.
When we got there, we ordered from the gluten-free menu the bison nachos and two burgers. We ate the nachos, and then when the burgers came out, we realized they were not on gluten-free buns. we immediately sent them back to the kitchen and decided to go elsewhere in order to stay safe, because we did not feel like the restaurant took the gluten safety seriously.
Unfortunately, after leaving the restaurant about 30 minutes later, I started to feel glutened, I believe this was the nachos not being modified to be gluten-free, similar to the burgers. While the staff was nice enough to comp the nachos and drinks, I would not recommend.
