Pancakes and waffles marked as "gluten free" are actually very much not gluten free and are cooked on shared surfaces, but they won't tell you unless you ask. Given that level of willful negligence I decided it was not in my best interests to trust they were being honest with other items on the menu.
I ordered the Mexicana omelette with the side of house potatoes and they’re good and tasty. I was looking forward to have some waffles as some of the reviews recommend them but unfortunately but gratefully the server informed that the waffles and pancakes are cooked in the same surface as the gluten ones, this way unable to avoid cross contamination. Overall a good experience, just a little disappointed
Very knowledgeable about wheat and dairy allergy safe foods! The server checked the ingredients of the items I ordered and also had the manager come out to say what was safe and confirm each item in the order was gluten and dairy free! The menu has gluten free options marked and a large variety of options
Called ahead, spoke with Nicole, the manager. She instantly knew what celiac disease was and what on the menu was safe. She also was our waitress. Had the red roster, with a combo of sausage patties and bacon, with a side of fruit. Haven’t had any problems. Nicole warned me that the waffles, pancakes, and toast are cross contaminated by the surface/ toaster that they are cooked on. This was a good breakfast spot!
I got the California Benedict expecting that they’d do a gluten free English muffin. Instead they used two cold pieces of bread that weren’t even toasted, so of course they became cold mush under the overly runny eggs and copious hollandaise. Servers also act like they don’t want to be there. This may be okay for gluten sensitivities but I’d be cautious with celiac. I doubt they do a dedicated gluten free cooking area if they don’t even have a gluten free toaster.
NOT SAFE for celiacs We were initially told gf pancakes and gf waffles could be cooked on separate surface. Got nervous when looking back at kitchen and asked again and were told there would be cross contamination
GF Belgian waffle was delicious! Lots of other GF options on the menu, including toast and pancakes. Service was amazing and super friendly. I asked about cross-contamination and was told they do their best to avoid cross-contamination, but I'm not sure that it extends to separate cooking surfaces, so this may not be an option for anyone who is sensitive to that. Bonus: they also have turkey bacon for those of us who don't eat pork. And almond milk for anyone with dairy allergies. I will definitely be back!
I do not have celiac, but I have a severe sensitivity, so even crumbs will make me sick.
We checked out the delectable egg for breakfast this morning, and it was delicious. The waitress was very knowledgeable, for which I’m grateful for as she told me that there is cross contact risk with the pancakes, the waffles and the toaster. I ordered a version of eggs Benedict, on gf bread (not toasted) and their house potatoes. Although the pancakes and waffles and toasting may be off limits depending on sensitivity, there were plenty of egg options available. I would go again.
Delicious breakfast spot with lots of gf breakfast and lunch options. They have gf bread, pancakes, waffles, bread, etc. Not 100% sure about cc.
I ate there 3 mornings in a row when in town for work. Absolutely fantastic. I ordered omelette then skillets. everything is cooked well and seasoned great.
I didn't try the pancakes or waffles as I wanted to stay extra safe with egg based dishes.
Overall the menu doesn't have anything new for a breakfast place but performs excellent with what it has. Overall 10/10 would eat there every morning if I could.
Staff was knowledgeable of GF and offered to sub fruit in place of toast/muffin
Really great experience. The server specifically asked me if I was celiac when I mentioned that I needed to eat GF. I am, and should have specified when I ordered but she mentioned that surfaces would be wiped down etc. I asked about the GF bread but she said I could have fruit instead and I decided that was the safest route. Also based on other reviews I decided on a skillet. It seemed to be the safest. All in all i appreciated that the server was knowledgeable and so sweet when she took my order.
The service was fantastic and all the servers where very knowledgeable regarding having a gluten allergy versus celiac. The location is easy to get to by foot and is very cute and semi-spacious. I had the Popeyes omelette with bacon and fruit. Everything tastes great except for the hash browns which were lukewarm and dried out. My husband had the Denver and it was loaded with more onions than he would have liked and his potatoes were also lukewarm and cold in other spots. Overall a great place to have breakfast at and hopefully next time the potato side dishes are warmer.
