Yummy!!! Amazing donuts! Highly recommended
The seasonal honey lavender donuts are amazing! Highly recommend!!! Get there early - the gf options sell out quick!
Absolutely delicious doughnuts!! They told me that they are fried in a GF fryer (not on site). The honey lavender is my favorite.
I'm hoping to change this review the next time I visit. I'm giving three stars now because I didn't even get to try one...sold out :-( From what I could see, there was no sign to let people know they were out. If I had waited in line JUST for GF only to find out at the counter that they didn't have any I would have been livid. As it turns out, I was with a group of others who didn't need GF, so the wait wasn't for nothing.
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. First donut I’ve had in 5 years. There were 5 options for GF. I tried the cinnamon sugar and the dark chocolate glazed. Dark chocolate glazed was out of this world! The cinnamon sugar was tasty, but the texture definitely fell behind the dark chocolate. It wasn’t quite as moist. There was also a chai, lemon and coconut option that I am sure were delicious. Highly recommend.
I was never a big donut-eater before I had celiac, but I knew I had to give Holy Donut a try. I was super impressed with their gluten-free selection. I think there were 8 different gf flavors! They also had great coffee.
I know someone who worked there, and she said that while they don’t have a dedicated production space for gf donuts, they do empty the oil every night, clean the fryers thoroughly, and mix/fry the gf donuts first. I ate there for the first time today (honey lavender flavor donut). I asked the counter person to wash their hands first before picking my donut and they were very accommodating. I made sure to leave a big tip. I am very sensitive to cc and I did not get sick at all!! Very excited to have a new option.
Yummy! Lots of fun options GF and regular. Quite a few GF flavors today - Honey lavender, toasted coconut chocolate, cinnamon sugar, lemon, chocolate with sea salt. Such a great stop in a fun city.
I eat here every chance i get-whenever i pass through Portland. I have never had a reaction to eating their GF donuts, and they are so incredibly delicious. I liters dream of these donuts. Every Celiacs dream. The GF donuts go fast though so get there early or call ahead!
GF Chocolate Sea Salt donut seemed great until I got incredibly sick. GF donuts are right next to regular donuts and there isn’t much consideration for cross contamination. Also, staff is too cool to be bothered with dietary concerns. I won’t be back.
The GF donuts are all cake donuts, so if you're expecting a chewy glazed donut experience, you'll be disappointed. Also, the taste profile from one flavor to another isn't very different. Most of the flavor is in the frosting. The GF donuts were kept in a separate case but when the store is busy, I would worry about cross-contamination from the servers' gloves. On a different note, I was asked to wait for my specialty coffee. The store was packed, so when the coffee type (not my name, like other coffee shops do) was called, I didn't hear it. When my husband inquired after several minutes, the gentleman behind the counter (in the Dallas Cowboys hat) blamed us for the mistake and said he gave it away to someone else. Another one was made, but the first impression was already set. For four donuts and a coffee, our bill was $21. We will not be back.
What a treat to have a fresh gluten free donut! My husband (who is not gf) had a bacon Maple and he said it was one of the best donuts he'd ever had. The gf donuts were in a separate area a d at the top of the case, and the server was careful to put mine in a separate bag.
I have celiacs and this place was great! Amazing flavors for GF. We bought 1 of each flavor they had: Lemon glaze, maple glaze, chocolate glaze, cinnamon glaze, glazed chocolate coconut, and plain! Moist, not overly sweet, great texture, just AWESOME :-)
We love to the gluten free selections at Holy Donut. They have an ever expanding selection (Dark chocolate sea salt, lemon, chai, old-fashioned, cinnamon sugar, triple berry, and maple) of GF donuts. Have eaten there 30 times over 5 years and never gotten sick. (Not celiac)
Great GF donuts. It's hard to find a GF donut anywhere, so having a few options to choose from was nice. I was a little nervous about how close the regular donuts were in the case to the GF ones at the Exchange St location (I did get one and felt fine afterward). I felt better about how the GF donuts are separated into a different case at the Park Ave location.
They make gluten free separate I ask for the ones in the back under plastic to avoid cross contamination because the ones out are exposed when they make donuts. Call the night before to ask them to set some aside! Best donuts I've had and even those who aren't gf love them!
It’s a cake donut, best one I’ve had since becoming gluten free, options today were chocolate, cinnamon, lemon, coconut and maple :) big choices, although they store next to regular donuts.... but I didn’t get sick
Absolutely loved the maple donut and the coconut chocolate gf donut. I was so excited to try this place... it was excellent! I recommend getting there early. If not, call because they run out of gluten free donut flavors. We are headed back again today, after calling to find a location with some gf options.
Really cute place and they have specific donuts that are gluten free and delicious, just wish they were as moist as the non gluten free ones. My girlfriend tried both and thought the gf ones were dry. Still recommend!
I was so glad to find this place. The line was long on a Sunday morning but well worth it. There were 5 options for gf donuts. The cashiers told me that the owners daughter has celiac which made me feel safe about eating there. So delicious!
