The Inn Berlin

Perfect. This place is pure delight. I haven’t been this excited about breakfast in a long time. Dedicated gluten free, in fact you can’t even bring food in, so it is completely safe. While here, I indulged or over indulged in quiche, eggs Benedict, cinnamon rolls, baguette, fresh squeezed juices, delicious cookies and so much more. I didn’t eat lunch the entire weekend because I was so satisfied with breakfast. Oh yea, and the Inn was fabulous too.

What phenomenal food!!! And all gluten-free!!!! I truly was overwhelmed. Each breakfasts started with a cup of Greek yogurt with fruit and a baked good or 2, along with tea or coffee and fresh squeezed juice, then the main was a salad and quiche one day and eggs, chicken sausage or bacon, and a baguette the next. Truly incredible and can’t wait to come back.

We loved our stay! Breakfasts were so good, we even bought bagels and baguettes for the trip home. Maya is a lovely host. We had a Mediterranean themed meal, which was amazing! Such a delight for Celiac guests!

It is specifically a gluten free bed and breakfast! The breakfasts were AMAZING. The 🥖 French baguette = WHOA!!! Service was top notch. Highly recommend.

We stayed over a weekend in mid September. We had a lovely time! The Inn is beautiful and Maya goes above and beyond to offer you a memorable stay. We did add on the celebration package, as well as a packed lunch and meat and cheese tray. Also did the private dining on our arrival day. All of the food was fantastic and 100% safe to eat. With celiac , it’s a huge relief to be able to go on a weekend getaway and to not have to worry about finding gluten free food. We had such a great time we are hoping to make this a yearly visit !

I have been dreaming of the Inn Berlin since it opened. As you know, GF places aren't super easy to come by. We stayed here over Labor Day weekend; dream come true! Maya sent us a good questionnaire before we arrived asking about other allergies and likes/dislikes. I am celiac and open to anything so I chose chef's choice. My husband who is celiac supportive chose the continental breakfast. On the 1st day, I had a beautiful herb and cheese quiche, fresh grilled peppers, and carrot muffins and she had fresh juice each day. The continental breakfast was really good, my husband said. The next day Maya made homemade bagels with smoked salmon, capers, and something pickled, which was so yummy! There were gluten free snacks in our room and outside on the 2nd floor landing with coffee and bubbly water. She made a picnic lunch for me for the beach with amazing chicken salad and tons more. There was even a GF Blonde Ale made by Ceal Beach. I really liked it; it's hard to find a good GF beer.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here. This was my second time here and it won’t be my last. The inn itself is gorgeous and the food is out of this world. Maya goes out of her way to make everyone feel like they are at home. Some of my favorites are her caramel brownies and the quiche Lorraine! She also does private dining experiences so you can have dinner at the inn as well.

We had a wonderful experience at the Inn Berlin. The rooms were lovely and the food was excellent. You would never know it was gluten free. It was so nice to go somewhere celiac safe and not need to worry. I would definitely recommend a visit!!

Absolutely perfect experience as a guest at the inn. The breakfasts are amazing - typically a pastry, yogurt & fruit, and then a main course with egg dishes. Some examples of our meals: cinnamon rolls, chocolate babka, lemon tarts, scrambled eggs with cheese, potato hash with and eggs, and my favorite was a perfectly cooked quiche. The entrees usually include bacon as well. The owner is very accommodating to allergies and preferences. I also elected to have lunches and dinners made and they were equally delicious. Lunches were various sandwiches on brioche or baguettes and our dinners were a tasting board of meats, cheeses and dips which included our choice of wine. They also have an excellent selection of GF beers. The inn also has a bakery attached to where you can pick up goodies even if you’re not a guest at the inn (be sure to check the hours).

Had the most amazing stay! The inn is lovely - such an attention to detail with all the touches throughout the rooms, rest of the house, and the grounds. And the food was to die for! Everything was absolutely delicious, and completely stress-free with no need to explain celiac. We had a private dinner too, which I’d highly recommend. Portions are huge at breakfast and at the private dinner, so expect leftovers!

The aren't words for how amazing this place is. The grounds and house are stunningly beautiful. It has an old house charm with some modern amenities. The cute downtown is a short walk away. The best part - the food. My wife and I had a wedding celebration here and everything was so well organized and the food looked and tasted like you would find at an upscale restaurant. I can't recommend this place enough to anyone. My family who also experienced it, who do not need to be gluten free, also enjoyed it thoroughly and plan to return. If visiting the Eastern shore, this is a must for an amazing experience.

Wonderful GF Bed & Breakfast and Maya was very friendly and helpful! Served a great breakfast. She also made us chocolate covered strawberries and a lemon cake with a blueberry center, iced cake for our anniversary that was delicious! They also stock the room with all GF snacks! What an amazing experience! We stayed there for two nights and we’re treated to the best meals and accommodations I could’ve dreamed of. While we were there, you wake up to a breakfast fit to keep you full all day! You are given a questionnaire about dietary preferences on top of gf and preferences in either continental breakfast or chefs choice (opt for the chefs choice!). We also opted for an additional private dinner one night and a packed picnic the next day - perfect for a day at the beach. We will absolutely be coming back again! Maya the owner and inn keeper was so friendly and talented with your menu planning. Oh, And the common area has all the snacks you could want plus fresh cookies every day!

What a fantastic place! My wife and I had a truly lovely experience for our anniversary at The Inn Berlin. The decor, the hospitality, and OF COURSE the food: all top-notch. Maya has obviously put so much thought into every aspect of this destination… and it is more than worth the trip! The entire facility is dedicated gluten free, so my stress levels were so low… it was a relief to have such trust in the food prep, and to have it be of such high caliber — really blew me away. I’m not sure if urban legend describes something you never knew existed or ever hoped to find, but the Inn Berlin is a place I never even thought to look for- a truly gluten free B&B. My husband found it while searched for lodgings for our silver wedding anniversary trip. Established in 2021 by millennial couple, this elegant house is a truly rare find. Outside food is prohibited because all the offerings here are gluten free: breakfast, drinks, baked goods, sweet/savory snacks. The wife is celiac and also the chef. She is amazing! How many places have you stayed while on vacation where you looked forward to the daily gourmet breakfast offerings as much as, or more than, what you are doing after breakfast?? This was truly a unique experience for me, hopefully not “a once in a lifetime”. Maya is a truly gifted chef. Her B&B business caters to the gluten sensitive but is not exclusive to others who are unaffected. Some guests stay and have no idea that everything she makes is gf. She is that good! The accommodations are nicely decorated, combining old and new decor, clean, comfortable, quiet, and welcoming with organic touches everywhere (skin/hair care products, sheets, etc). There is a tea & coffee bar available to guests 24/7 that includes fresh clementines, a cookie of the day cookie jar, a wide variety of gf crunchy snacks (sweet and savory), bottled water, a small refrigerator with upper freezer for ice already in individual bags, chilled flavored seltzer water, and apple sauce packets. This is the first overnight stay where I did not need to bring snacks with me and I could eat anything I wanted without fear of getting sick. I would recommend this place to any celiac. Private dinners are available with a 2 week notice and there is space for events/weddings to be held here. There is a wine and gluten free beer list available for ordering separately. There are 5 guest rooms and beautiful, immaculately kept grounds. This is the first vacation I’ve had since being diagnosed with celiac disease where I didn’t end up in the bathroom unexpectedly and often from gluten contamination. If you’re going to Ocean City or Assateague, treat yourself to some Berlin GF hospitality at the Inn Berlin! My compliments to the chef.

Our second stay at the Inn Berlin was even better than the first! We had a wonderful dinner prepared especially for us. Breakfast every day is amazing. Such a lovely place and convenient to lots of fun things to do. Can’t say enough about how delicious the food was and always 100% gluten free.

We had the most amazing weekend. Berlin is a quiet and nice little town and the Inn Berlin is truly a hidden gem! The Inn is absolutely beautiful: Tasteful interior, comfy rooms and the most beautiful garden with a wonderful fireplace. The manager Maya is really nice and customer satisfaction is her first priority. For example: Water and soda as well as snacks and cookies are always available and free of charge to guests. She is also the most amazing cook who creates her own pastry and delicious breakfast dishes (still dreaming about those eggs benedict). My wife is gluten free and having a fully gluten free weekend was a big relief for her. And I didn't even notice that the baked goods were gluten free. In short: If you think about going to Maryland or Delaware beaches, ditch Ocean City and all the other overcrowded beach towns and rather spend your time at the Inn Berlin.

We had the most wonderful visit at The Berlin Inn. The B&B is beautiful inside and out! Maya, the Inn Keeper, is clearly dedicated to creating fabulous guest experiences. She’s an amazing cook and the breakfasts were superb! And we loved the homemade cookies she sets out in a cookie jar, along with drawers of yummy GF snacks. I have celiac disease but my husband doesn’t, and he thought the food was great, too! We look forward to future visits.

This place is an absolute gem! Maya the owner, who has celiac disease, has mastered the art of gluten free cooking. My husband who is a gluten-lover could not tell the food was gluten free. So awesome, as a celiac, to have safe and totally delicious meals without a worry of cross contamination - the kitchen is entirely gluten free. We were offered gluten free beer, snacks, and amazing homemade cookies in addition to the meals. The Inn is beautiful and comfortable, we loved our room and the common spaces. Went to The Inn Berlin to celebrate our anniversary. The owner Maya made sure our stay was special and specific to our needs and dietary preferences. Not only is it 100% gluten free, but I need to eat low lactose and she was able to accomadate with no issue. My husband who doesn't always love gluten free food, said he couldn't even tell it was gluten free it was so good. Thoughtful touches everywhere, snacks all day and fresh baked cookies at the ready. A breakfast that can fill you up for your travels during the day (and there's loads to do in Berlin, MD) and lots of add-ons you can choose if you want. We did a high tea and had a charcuterie board added to our stay when we arrived. We also added on a picnic lunch for the ride back home. Everything is made fresh on site, she even used local ingredients when possible. There are no words to describe how delicious everything was that she made. Our trip was even better than we had hoped - we fell in love with the Inn and the town of Berlin. We can't wait to go back.

I cannot explain how amazing this place is! My husband has celiacs disease and we stayed here for our honeymoon for a few days. Everything there is completely gluten free so no worries about cross contamination! Maya knows so much about celiac and preparing the food so we felt completely safe eating here! Maya even worked with us to accommodate an egg-free and milk-free diet as well. The food is so amazing- it doesn’t even taste gluten free. We were so excited every day to see what breakfast would be and every morning we left completely stuffed! We also did a private meal for dinner one night which was amazing. We did one of the add ons for a six pack of gf beer and then champagne- it was amazing. Besides the amazing food and it being safe for celiacs, the inn itself was beautiful both inside and outside and Maya could not have been a better host! We plan to come again soon and are looking forward to doing some more of the food add on packages!

We spent a long weekend at The Inn Berlin and from arrival to check-out, we were completely blown away. Maya provides the most amazing hospitality coupled with unbelievable gluten free food. As someone with celiac, words cannot describe what a treat this was. Maya worked with us on our add-on requests and made sure that every detail was thoughtful and well curated. The Inn is sparkling clean, well laid out, and gorgeously decorated. We started off with High Tea, followed by the Assateague adventure, and ended with the Boozy Brunch. Throughout each experience, it was evident that Maya had put so much thought and preparation in to them and every box was checked. Berlin has a lot to offer and with the Inn in walking distance to historic Main Street, there really isn't much else you could ask for! We can't wait to come back and enjoy some of the other add-on's offered and soak in the gluten free goodness that Maya has mastered.

If I could give more stars, I would. The Inn Berlin is truly incredible! My husband and I stayed for two nights. I have celiac disease and the Inn is heavenly for anyone eating gluten free (dedicated GF!!), but my husband who is not GF loved the food equally as much, and said many times that it was so good, he would not have known it was GF. For those that don’t know/understand, this is a huge compliment to Maya’s culinary skills! We started our stay with the small charcuterie board, and there was nothing “small” about it. Large helping of delish cheese and meats served directly to our room. I’m still dreaming of the homemade pimento dip. The breakfast both days were incredible, but the eggs Benedict was top notch. Most meats, veggies, eggs, etc are grown locally making the quality out of this world. The homemade breads and muffins, yogurt parfaits, fresh pressed juice and fresh coffee was second to none. Maya, was an incredible host, and organized a packed picnic lunch for us to take with us on our day trip to OCMD beaches which included sandwiches, fruit, homemade chocolate dipped macaroons, homemade chips and bottled drinks. This was packed in travel cooler, and we also borrowed her beach chairs for the day! We indulged in a private dinner, Italian style! I worked closely with Maya to share details on the type of food that we enjoyed and she put together a wonderful 4 course meal, with two different entrees, and a bottle of wine! The Inn itself is beautiful. The grounds are so serene, and it is conveniently located in walking distance of Main Street in Berlin, and a short 15-20 min drive to the beaches. I especially loved the bath products- organic, and smelled delicious. The Inn owner, Maya, is special. She has worked in many different restaurant environments, and has mastered many different cuisines. We are really looking forward to returning to try her Asian cuisine! Highly recommend!!

I have celiac disease, which makes traveling on vacation not much of a vacation as it involves lots of planning and anxiety in sorting out what I will be eating on the trip. This was not the case for our trip to Berlin, MD thanks to the Inn Berlin as it is completely gluten free!! The accommodations and food were absolutely amazing, and even more amazing, is that my husband (a non-Celiac) enjoyed it just as much! In addition to our stay (which includes breakfast), my husband worked with Maya, the owner, to set up a menu for private dining the three nights that we were there, including a birthday dinner for me. In addition, my husband added on the packed lunches package for our two full days there so we could have lunch on our day trips sightseeing. I didn’t have to pack a cooler of food to eat (like I normally do on trips) and I didn’t have to do research on safe places to eat (and deal with the anxiety that maybe they weren’t so safe). It was truly a Celiac’s paradise!

But even more so, the hospitality and food were just spectacular. Our first night for dinner, my birthday dinner, we started off with a salad with delicious greens from a local farm followed by Surf-n-Turf. My husband and I agreed it was the best steak we have ever had, perfectly cooked! And the lobster was delicious. We finished off dinner with a delightful ginger snap cheesecake. Our second night, we had Spanish Tapas. My husband, who studied abroad in Spain, was especially excited for the Tortilla de Patatas, and it did not disappoint. I especially like the dates filled with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon, so, so good! Our last night, we had Italian. We started off with an appetizer of cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto, a refreshing and tasty starter, followed by a delicious salad and pasta, half bolognese and half fettuccine alfredo. Then for the encore, a scrumptious tiramisu. Honestly better than the tiramisu we had in Italy; it was so good! Our breakfasts and packed lunches were just as amazing. I had the continental breakfast while my husband did Chef’s choice. All of it was so good! I also really appreciated the packed lunches because we could go off and do anything, and I didn’t have to worry about food, or put in effort to put something together. We could just go do what we wanted and have fun! I’ve added pictures for reference of most of our meals.

The location of the Inn Berlin is also great! Easy drive to Assateague and Ocean City. Walking distance to downtown Berlin. Maya was super helpful in giving us ideas of things to do. We had a blast exploring the local sites. However, truly, the highlight of our trip was eating all the yummy food. Maya was so kind to us and truly took care of everything we asked for, making our trip so relaxing and enjoyable. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back as I think this place is going to become a semi-annual trip for us.

We stayed at the Inn Berlin during the opening weekend. It was a Celiac's paradise. Maya was incredibly helpful and accommodating and the location is great - just a short walk from the main street area and a 15 minute drive to Assateague Island. The rooms were gorgeous and the free snack cupboard was epic. In addition to the breakfasts (included in room rate), we added on to have an Afternoon Tea, private dinner, and a packed picnic lunch - all of which was amazing. Fresh baked bread, delicious almond macaroons, sparkling prosecco with tea.

Everything (including the world's most epic free snack supply) is gluten free. The owner/chef, Maya, is a fellow Celiac so she gets it. She took extra care to accommodate my lactose intolerant husband, which meant that we got to have our first weekend getaway without bringing all of our own food in years. It was so worth it!
