Not much was done to be careful after I told the hostess and the waiter my son and I both had celiac. The waiter brought out teriyaki on the sauces tray and told me to “avoid it” when it shouldn’t have even been on the tray in the first place. When dessert came out, he ended up bringing out a platter for us that all contained gluten, and upon setting it on the table, he had realized after analyzing my facial expression that he brought out the wrong thing and said “oh right, gluten free”. He was mindful of the nuts that could have cross contamination and left them off, but then brought out multiple things with gluten on them. It felt like minimal effort was put in and I didn’t feel safe eating there, even after multiple confirmations that it was safe and they take precautions with celiac. For how much I spent here, I really was not amused that we weren’t taken more seriously with our allergy.

The Melting Pot used to be one of my favorite places in town. However come of the service has gone drastically downhill in the last few years. The last trip Hi took here was about 3 weeks ago. My boyfriend called the day before to make a reservation and told the person taking the reservation that I have a gluten allergy. When we arrived, no one had any record of that. At the table, we told them again that I had a gluten allergy. They brought us food that was supposed to be gluten free. However,
there was definitely cross contamination because I spent the last hour of our meal in the bathroom and the next day in excruciating pain.
Always a great safe spot in old town. Waitress knew all about celiac and cross contamination.

Amazing dinner! We came for great plates and loved it. Since the last time I ate at a Melting Pot I was diagnosed with Celiac and now have to eat gluten free, and they offer an amazing selection. Everything (including drinks) is clearly marked GF or not on the menu and the waiter was super helpful and knowledgeable. We had delicious 4 cheese fondue w/veggies and gluten free bread, a variety of meats in Mojo broth, and a dark chocolate w/raspberry liquor chocolate fondue that came with gluten free pound cake and brownies for me. The gf brownies taste better than regular brownies! The great plates meal came with a bottle of wine, we got the moscato which was delicious. Great service and a great atmosphere. We’ll be back for a special occasion in the future!

Melting pot has extensive and excellent choices/options for gluten free. Very allergen friendly, as it is highly customizable. My favorite special occasion restaurant.

The Melting Pot goes above and beyond when taking care of the Celiac guest! We had the most amazing dining experience here. By telling the host we were Celiac when we made the reservation, they were completely prepared for us when we arrived. The waiter walked us through the menu, made all necessary changes to our meal choices and even suggested drinks that were gluten free. Fantastic service, wonderful food. I wish other restaurants were as trained and prepared as the Melting Pot!

Service was incredible! I mentioned I had a gluten allergy and they were extremely accommodating. I went with my boyfriend, who is not GF, and they brought out seperate GF options (bread & dessert) so we could both enjoy it equally. Definitely will be back soon!
They totally catered to me and reassured me that all the food that I was served was gluten free.
We had an amazing Mother’s Day dinner at Melting Pot. They now have gluten free bread for the cheese course. They had gf cookies and brownies to dip in the chocolate fondue. Our waitress was well versed in cross contamination. They were willing to adjust for other food intolerances and likes. There was a sticker on the front door announcing that it was a validated gluten free safe spot. We felt safe and normal eating there.
Staff was super knowledgeable about celiac, gf options clearly marked. I’m super sensitive and had no reaction. All the food was great!

First time eating here. It was a wonderful experience. The waiter was so good. Everything was so good. The only thing was when we had dessert I only ate the fruit dipped in the chocolate. Took the gluten free brownies and snickerdoodle’s home with me. I ate them the next day and I did get sick after I had ate them. Would still recommend them but not the cookies and brownies. And would go back again but just avoiding the brownies and snickerdoodle’s.

Never on my radar, BUT I read an article by Gluten Free Dad about how it is Gluten free safe spot certified by an independent company. We were surprised at how well versed the employees were the variety offered. So far no one has gotten sick. Everything is brought/made in front of you by you and everything was labeled on the menu. The dessert was the best! GF brownie and cookie that weren’t hard as a rock. I doubled checked with the waitress every time and she wasn’t annoyed by my questions!

The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. Almost all of the cheeses could be made gluten-free, they had gluten-free bread to dip in the cheese, and gluten-free brownies and snickerdoodles to dip in the chocolate. Amazing experience and didn’t get sick!
