Worked well for me. I’m extremely gluten intolerant (Celiac Disease). The bun is the typical Gluten Free bun that crumbles but It’s one of the few restaurants I can eat and not suffer.

I had a great experience here. The waitress was knowledgeable, and I felt staff went out of their way to ensure my safety. No issues with my meal. I had the club sandwich on the gf bun and mashed potatoes. It was delicious and I didn't get sick!

Reading FindMeGF reviews before going was helpful as I learned that while the menus has a variety of gluten-free items, they aren’t necessarily GF, but can be made GF. For example, the appetizer pimento cheese dip with chips or veggies is only GF if you get the veggies. The home fried chips are not GF. So be aware and ask questions.
Based off reviews, I avoided the GF pizza.
I also ordered a side of grits and the pimento devil eggs - gotta take advantage of souther staples when eating in the south.
Everything was fresh and fine. No ill feelings from the food! Just ate too much cheese :) Thankfully, we were there before the lunch crowd, which may have helped limit cross contamination.
Will probably go back next time we drive through.
Thankful for the gluten-free options!

We were eating here as a family of celiacs. There are very few options in this area compared to other areas we've lived and thought we were doing ok eating here. This past experience - they gave all three of our burgers their brioche bun despite the order being labeled at gluten allergy on all orders. This was the first time we'd noticed something was off with my husbands bun and I'm now pretty sure my last order had the gluten bun on it on a previous trip and we didn't catch the difference because this bun is vastly different.
I was really sick around our last time here and didn't connect the two. Now I'm pretty sure I know why. My husband didn't connect the mistakes until after he'd eaten a few bites. Do not eat here if you have celiac sensitivities. We will not be back.

Well done menu, the waiter was quite pleasant! And my food was delicious! I would absolutely come here again, hopefully I'll have room for dessert.
The first place I tried when we moved here and it felt safe to eat. Separate GF menu and they are always trying to add to it. Tasty food. Staff have been knowledgeable.
Has a decent gluten free menu and staff that is fairly knowledgeable about gluten free.
I always get the same thing here... GF BBQ chicken pizza and side salad. It's always good and so far, I haven't gotten glutened.

I found penne pasta in my shrimp and grits after half eaten. Gave GF lesson to manager. She explained they had steps to follow in the kitchen. I explained they weren't followed. Sorry didn't work. There was no excuse for such carelessness. I give a 1 star only because this site requires it. It is a minus zero.

Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was a mistake and the wrong pizza (non gluten free version) was delivered by a runner. Quickly fixed and the server brought me a little something to snack on while I waited. The pizza was good but as with most gf pizza, underdone since it was cooked on a tin. Will come again when I'm back in the area.
First, I have never been glutened when eating here, which is good. But I have been disappointed with the food every time. The salmon is always delicious, but the veggies have no spices, not even salt. It's frustrating. I'm not a chef, but even I can add some herbs and spices to give it flavor. Just don't think I'll go any more.
They have a Gluten free menu, but even more so the wait staff made sure with the chef took care of my 6 food elimination diet. I will come back here every time I'm in town.
Lots of tasty gf options and have never gotten sick from eating here. However I have gotten the shrimp scampi with gf pasta twice and both times the pasta was very undercooked. Almost crunchy. Shrimp and grits have always been amazing though!
Best GF pizza I've ever had. Crust had the perfect amount of chew (no mushiness or mealy after taste) and crisp enough to hold a slice by hand. Also, no upcharge for GF crust! An absolute must if you are in the area. Staff was very versed on GF needs and even double checked my drink order to make sure it was also GF.

Very knowledgeable, food was great.
Great place. Friendly, accommodating staff. Separate gluten free menu with decent selection withGreat Pizzas and GF chicken w penne pasta was perfection. Weekend we went was very busy which is a testament in itself.
Had a great experience. The staff and cooks where very accommodating.
Managed to handle my celiac incredibly well! Staff was very knowledgeable and careful, and they had a large gluten free menu! They were also able to independently accommodate my girlfriend’s dairy and peanut allergies.
They even had a manager stop by to make sure our allergies were well accommodated.

We requested the gluten free menu and had the GF BBQ Chicken pizza and then the chicken sandwich with the GF bun. The bun was delicious and arrived still in the package.

My husband said his grilled chicken spinach salad with honey mustard was the best salad he has ever had. The tavern salad was also excellent, as were the pizzas. They were thin crust and delicious. The teens liked their entrees.

I’ve eaten here multiple times with no issue as I’ve gotten to know the staff well. They understand my needs to eat safely. There are a few GF items in the menu. I normally get the shrimp and grits or the GF pizza. The pizza is cooked in a separate tin from the other pizzas and tastes great!

My wife and I had dinner there last night. I am celiac, my wife is not. I had the shrimp and grits with a Tavern salad. My wife enjoyed the filet mignon with a Caesar salad. Both our meals and the service were excellent. I let the server know that I was celiac and he encouraged me not to worry. I had no problems with the dinner. Village Tavern has a very good wine list with several selections that are very reasonably priced. They sell many by the glass. The main menu had “gf” beside items that could be prepared gluten free. There were many selections. Highly recommended.
