Dedicated GF menu. Staff was aware of cross contamination and they say they have a celiac kit for cooking.

We went last night with my girls who have celiac. The manager came out to talk to us and said they use a Celiac kit to prepare food so that there is no cross contact. He said they could have whatever they want from the gf menu except the gf pizza which is not for those with Celiac. They brought out the gf food separately and all gf items were marked with toothpick stickers. The manager came out to make sure everything was safe. It was a great meal and no one got sick!!! Waitress was really sweet and knowledgeable too.

I dont know who said this was celiac friendly because they aren't. They have signs on the door that say certified GF however right on the menu it says that GF items are prepared in the same kitchen. The waitress was not knowledgeable she offered me fries with my burger which are not on the gluten free menu. I got very sick after lunch today. All the thumbs down.

Food was delicious. Kids didn’t get sick. (Kids have celiac) Great place to eat will be back on our next vacation

Had an awesome experience here. Amazing food, "happy hour" from 4-7 at the bar and outdoor seating area, a well rounded Gluten Free Menu and knowledge staff. Caprese salad was excellent. The dry aged filet mignon was tender and flavorful. Best of all, I didn't get sick. Highly recommended

The food and service was so wonderful on our first night of vacation we came back for a second meal. Large gluten free menu and very accommodating and delicious. Highly recommend.

So we ate here totally safe! My mom’s was delicious- the shrimp and grits. My 12year old got the bbq gf pizza which he said was good. I have dairy allergy too so I had more limited options. I had scallops and vegetables- clean and good- would have liked a little oil or garlic on veggies to give more flavor. Overall nice separate gluten free menu with several choices. Delicious food.

I come here whenever I visit my parents - about every 6 months. I have NEVER had a bad meal. They have a gluten free menu with a lot of options, more than most restaurants. The food gets better each time I go. I just had the southern shrimp and grits and it was excellent! I will definitely keep going back.

Love this place. The scallops and grits are incredible. I've eaten here three times in two trips and would always go back. They have a separate gf menu but have plenty of menu items. Service has always been great. Definitely recommend reservations for dinner.

I had the shrimp and grits and it was yummy. My son had the salmon and it was overcooked and dry. Staff was fairly knowledgeable

nice place with the indoor dining and patio dining they have a small menu for a gluten free products we've eaten there numerous times and have never had a problem with the reaction well prepared food and I setting and reasonably priced I think you'll like it

I love this place!! They have a great gluten free menu. My favorite dish is shrimp & grits. They also have a gluten free brunch menu which comes with a free Bloody Mary. This place gets packed during season however the bar area has self seating & you can usually sit right away. Wonderful staff. Great family dining but nice for date nights too❤

The service is exceptional. The waiter was very knowledgable about GF foods and cross contamination possibilities. My daughter has celiac and she ordered the pizza. It came on its own foil tray, which made me happy to see they took pains to make sure food stayed safe. My daughter, however did not like the pizza at all as it is basically canned tomatoes with fresh mozarella

I love eating at this restaurant. I recently found out I had celiac disease and was so delighted I could continue to dine here. There food is great and so is the atmosphere

They have gone out of their way to put together a menu for us. Pizza is good but not like real pizza. Still I appreciate their efforts and quality. They are partnered with Gluten-free Intolerance group to meet our needs. Highly recommend. Good food, good price.

Had lunch here on our first visit to Winston-Salem – amazing food, GF menu with lots of great choices, and flexible “from scratch” kitchen. Server was very knowledgeable about GF needs and took great care of us. “Certified GF Safe Spot.” Indoor and outdoor seating – we really enjoyed our outdoor table. Can’t wait to come back here on our next visit!

Village tavern is great 👍 The server was a little short about questions and clarifications, but was just very informative and willing to answer any questions. There is a pretty thorugh gluten free menu! I would double check to make sure everything is on the up and up once you get your food, but they have very good customer service and will get a manager to answer any questions the server might not be able to answer :)

Managed to handle my celiac incredibly well! Staff was very knowledgeable and careful, and they had a large gluten free menu! They were also able to independently accommodate my girlfriend’s dairy and peanut allergies.

They even had a manager stop by to make sure our allergies were well accommodated.

We requested the gluten free menu and had the GF BBQ Chicken pizza and then the chicken sandwich with the GF bun. The bun was delicious and arrived still in the package.

My husband said his grilled chicken spinach salad with honey mustard was the best salad he has ever had. The tavern salad was also excellent, as were the pizzas. They were thin crust and delicious. The teens liked their entrees.
