The kitchen tries to keep gluten free baking goods baked in a separate space in the kitchen with clean supplies. I had the brownie and snickerdoodle. The brownie was mediocre, however the snickerdoodle was delicious!

They have gluten free bread and a few gluten free pastry options. I got the carrot cake and a breakfast sandwich with gf bread. Not my favorite breakfast sandwich.

They have clearly marked gluten friendly items including some muffins and a carrot cake loaf. They make simple foods like soup and sandwiches - you can get the sandwiches on gluten free bread and it was delicious! I did not see how they prepared it but I had no issues afterword (I usually react immediately to gluten). They can also do all your standard coffee and espresso drinks. They had almond milk, oat milk (I didn't ask if gf), and soy milk available too. I see previous comments from a few years ago mentioning "gluten reduced" but it looks like the place has educated themselves more since then, cause I didn't see or hear anything about it.

Had one sandwich that was great. Slow morning. They washed the knife and superset cookware.
Next day it was busy. Same knife. Same cooking service. Not safe.

DRINKS ONLY - we only ordered a drink but it’s been the best coeliac friendly service we’ve had yet in Canada. The barista not only washed the milk jug in front of me before doing the soya milk, but also went to the cupboard to open a new pack for the cup and lid. A real effort to avoid cross contamination. Recommended.

Gluten Reduced!? What does that even mean. Wouldn't even risk it.
No
Very good coffee and a good range of “gluten reduced” pastries. The man I talked to said they’ve never had a complaint about cross contamination, but I have celiac so I played it safe and stuck with a latte. Very friendly staff, though.
Probably not safe for the celiac crowd, but for those less sensitive, the gluten reduced items are nice. Not great by gf bakery standards, but good in a place like Banff where variety is hard to come by! My understanding of the gluten reduced labeling is this—they don’t use any gluten ingredients in these products, but they are made in a shared kitchen, so cross-contamination is possible, and therefore they don’t call these products gluten free.
They are not quick to tell you what it truely means when they state "gluten reduced". Is there still some wheat flour added in? I asked. I could not get a straight answer and certainly didn't feel the best after the carrot cake. I would not say it is celiac friendly, other than maybe the drinks.
No
Probably cross contamination because it’s a regular bakery but DELICIOUS muffins and cookies and they also had gf soups and salads
