The only thing not GF is the fried onions. If you let the staff know you need GF at this location they take extra precautions.

Very good experience. Finally a meal that tastes good and I don’t have to worry about my Celiac.

Never been here before, but told them I had a gluten allergy. They called down the line for a complete glove change which was absolutely amazing. Ordered a bowl with white rice and chicken. Soy sauce is gluten free.
Great food. Great customization options. Great staff! Definitely will be going back.

Went for Valentine’s Day, and it was delightfully uncrowded. In fact, they were empty by the time we left. It’s nice that they mark if something is gluten free on the menu. Mostly they have Asian stuff and fusion options for making tacos. I mentioned that I had an allergy to gluten, and they changed their gloves without being asked. I got a bowl with rice noodles, teriyaki sauce, chicken meatballs, and veggies. The meatballs were very good but the bowl probably could’ve used double the sauce. A little bland. But my husband absolutely loved what he got. I don’t know that the flavors are so amazing that I’d come often, but it was perfect for Valentine’s Day—not straight up fast food and not horribly crowded.

I order here quite often. I actually order my first celiac meal from here. They were very knowledgeable in letting me know what was not gluten free and what was. I usually get the bowls! She let me know the yakisoba noodles and the meatballs and fried onions are not gluten free!

I order from here quite often and they always do a good job and the food tastes great. Tonight I ordered soup and indicated GF and was told the broth just changed and is no longer GF. I’m so disappointed because the soup is delicious and never made me sick.

I must dispel the conflicting reviews: the meatballs are NOT gluten free lmao
They’re good about changing gloves if you ask them, most of the food is safe. They have a full allergen menu on their site https://www.zaoasiancafe.com/nutrition/
Pretty good food, expect to pay $15 after tip

Most of their food is GF and they will tell you what is not. There may be some cross contamination but I have never had a problem. Love their bowls

Menu indicates which items are gluten free, and all sauces are gluten free. I have eaten here a few times and have not been glutened. I love the rice bowl with steak!
