Loving Hut has been our favorite restaurant… twice a month for years…
… parking is free and plentiful nearby in this strip mall.
The many Gluten- free items are clearly marked on the ample menu.
…GFO means the gluten free option for the item is available.
…. The freshly prepared portions are generous and tasty, using organic if available.
The staff are welcoming and helpful... has a Buddhist feel.
I love how peaceful vegan food is.
… Comfy booths in a clean and nicely appointed roomy interior.
I’ve never been glutened here!
I feel so safe eating here.
I have been to this location many times, and have always enjoyed the food and never had any reactions. There are plenty of gluten free items or items with gluten free options on the menu. I enjoy the pad Thai, Royal Noodle Soup, and Heaven Rice Rolls. They also have gluten free vegan cheesecake! Note that not every Loving Hut location serve the same items.
I got the mapo tofu and I thought it was pretty good! It was definitely pretty mild, I have a pretty okay spice tolerance but not extreme at all. So if I felt close to nothing, someone who has a true taste for spice will be pretty disappointed. And it’s not a big deal but I guess I assumed that rice was included since it normally is at a lot of Chinese restaurants, so I guess I was a little surprised that I was charged for it. Overall, it feels safe and it’s pretty okay, if you’re both gf and vegan I say it’s a good spot
I've eaten here many times with no issues.
So if you have a gluten allergy you can tell them that and they will cook your food separately from the regular food. I ordered the gluten gluten free the chow fun and made it gluten free I highly suggest that if you have like Celiac you should be very careful but if you have like just a gluten intolerant you can go here every once in awhile. Overall though the food was delicious and the service was super good like it was good service. Also the whole restaurant is vegan so anyone here that's also vegan can go eat there if you're only vegan but if you're gluten free I suggest like maybe going somewhere else but if you're just like if you just have a gluten intolerance you can come here.
This place was AMAZING. Menu clearly marked, and they were knowledgeable about celiacs/I had no problems when I requested gluten free. I’m also usually not vegan but had the Mongolian and I am honestly considering it now bc it was SO delicious. Would highly recommend!!
this place was very understanding and knowledgeable on gluten free dietary restrictions and allergies. they don’t have a specific gluten free menu but the mark the items that are gluten free or that can be made gluten free. as long as you make them aware before hand they will do their best to make sure there is 0 cross contamination. other than that the food there was very good!
Food was good and I didn’t get sick. They said they will start having indoor seating soon but for now it is mostly just take out or delivery.
Food was excellent. We came at a time when the buffet was not open, and ordered off the menu. Many gf options. Only reason this place didn’t get 5 stars was because the waiter was not even remotely attentive. After receiving our food (all of mine came out several minutes before my son’s), I had to get up and go ask for silverware. I also had to flag him down for leftover containers and our check.
Vegan food with GF options labeled
The food is quite good. However, I usually feel ill after eating here. I found out the spice blend they use for all their dishes contains glucose, and some other ingredient that’s sometimes derived from wheat. I tried to confirm if the glucose is wheat derived but there appears to be no way to get in contract with the manufacturer.
They can make a large portion of the menu gluten free, which is nice because it’s so rare to have the feeling of there being so many options you can’t choose! It’s not the best Chinese food ever, but it is good and we have never had an issue with gluten. They confirmed repeatedly that our items were gluten free and didn’t act bothered at all. Everything is vegan too, which is good for egg/dairy allergies.
I’m a vegetarian celiac and thought I’d go back here on a business trip - I’ve gone here before being diagnosed celiac. I went for the GF labeled items on the menu (lentil soup and a Singapore noodle) and was definetly glutened. I’m not that disappointed as the food was rather bland as well - not going back.
One of my absolute favorites for either dining in or take-out! The food is amazing every time. Crunchy rolls are bomb!
Have eaten here twice and didn't get sick. I had the noodles the other reviewer said looked like wheat noodles. They were homemade rice noodles and we're delicious. The woman who works behind the counter was wonderful, so kind and friendly. She went out of her way to make us happy. Mention Celiac, and she will make sure the chef is cautious. We aren't vegan, but the food is so delicious, I didn't notice the absence of meat.
Multiple gluten free options, restaurant is 100% vegan. I got curry fried rice with tofu and it was delicious! Service was very quick and attentive.
I love this place! You do have to verify with the waitress about your specific dietary needs. For instance, they list the French fries as being gluten free but when I asked if the fries were fried in the same oil as the chicken nuggets, she said yes. When I explained about contamination she was very understanding and even suggested that they could clean out the pot and use fresh oil if I wanted to try the fries! I decided to try them and they were great! I have never gotten sick after eating here but you have to use your own judgment and definitely express your needs. At least one person does speak English so hopefully she's there because the food is really terrific. Sometimes they even have gluten free desserts!
I have have celiacs and while I never once worried if the food was gluten free or not I did have issues with taste. I am not vegan and as a result am not accustomed to vegan food. It was definitely for either vegans or extreme health nuts and not for people who like more regular food. I could not finish my meal because it tasted so bad and I ended up leaving hungry.

I'm conflicted on how to rate this place. The food tastes really good about 70% of the time. They must have some good cooks and some that are just ok. If you are ordering online be careful. A few things on the menu that are marked gluten free actually are not. Also keep in mind that if it's marked gluten free, you still have to ask for the gluten free version. If you're super sensitive you might not want to risk eating here.
This place was a disaster for me! Tried to treat myself to a gluten free lunch while on Oahu for the day for a dr appt. Parking is almost nonexistent, finally got there, the guy behind the counter does not speak a word of English. If you don't have food allergies you're probably fine eating there. I pointed to a soup that said gluten free, when it arrived it looked like it had regular wheat spaghetti noodles in it!! Wanted to ask the guy about that, but since he doesn't speak English??!! I just returned the dish and walked out, then puked up what I ate on the street, not worth being sick for two weeks over some idiots!!
Tried the vegan Pho, gluten free, no msg. It was very good.
Great tasting food!
Wonderful vegan and gluten free menu. Everything is so fresh and the staff is amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Buffet style vegan asian food. I walked in asking about gluten-free and soy-free. Hostess/waitress walked me around the buffet and pointed out things with soy and gluten. (dessert, fried wontons, fried tofu). There were quite a few items left to eat. She then asked about soy protien (tofu) and I said no. (Language barriers with food issues can be so frustrating.) She pointed out one more "no" item. I found 4 more "no" items (soy bean salad, jicama with hoisen sauce, veggie soup with tofu, hot and sour soup with soy sauce) as I filled my plate with 7 or 8 safe items. Not sure how often menu changes. But if you eat here be cautious of dark sauce items and ask for the "tour" of safe items.
This was my first visit to Loving Hut and it did not disappoint! The whole place is vegan and mostly gf. We started with the spring rolls and peanut sauce then my husband and I shared the pad thai and a spicy lemongrass soup and tofu that I can't remember the name of. Everything was so full of flavor! We also got the vegan flan for dessert. Gluten free items are very clearly labeled and the server was able to answer all my questions. Yum!!
We were very excited to try a new and local vegan/ gluten-free friendly place, but were sadly VERY disappointed. We walked in on a very slow Sunday afternoon to see the restaurant completely empty with about half the tables still dirty from previous diners. We sat down at a table near the register and after several minutes finally had someone bring us a menu. We waited another 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us or get a drink order. Nothing. So, we got up and left, without even having someone say anything. I feel bad that we had such an un-appealing experience without even getting to the food. I can imagine though that if the restaurant was as dirty as it was, that the food prep couldn't have been very sanitary either...
Good Asian food and many gluten free options on their menu. I've never had a problem with gluten cross contamination there. The food is vegan, fresh, and healthy, and lots of choices that non-vegans can enjoy. Vegan is good for me because I can't have dairy either, so that is not an issue here.
Very good vegan food with a number of gluten free items. I love the salads and the rolls (my absolute fav is the quinoa roll without the mushrooms). People who aren't vegan or gluten free actually love this place; that includes my carnivorous bf.
Vegan menu, Gluten free menu, optional gluten free choices!Desserts are also vegan
Vegan menu, gluten free & Optional gluten free choices!
They have more than 10 menu items could be made gluten free and all servers are very welcome to help. Yet, make sure you told them you would like everything gf .
Wonderful food ! Good prices and you are made to feel wecolme :)
We eat here twice a week !
