Fantastic! Hard to find a brunch place like this nowadays. GF items are marked, they are very knowledgeable and have a dedicated toaster for GF toast. Can get GF pancakes! Portions are large. Very friendly wait staff. Would definitely come back!
I ordered an omelet with pancakes. It was all delicious but the pancakes were amazing!
We had a great time here at Brunch Cafe! They had a wide variety of gluten free menu options. The server was very knowledgeable about which menu items were gluten free and asked kitchen about preparation of a certain food item when she was unsure of cross contamination
Called last minute for a party of 14 on Memorial Day, they were able to accommodate us quickly and then even added extra space for an additional FOUR guests who unexpectedly showed up. I ordered an omelette with hashbrowns and pancakes. Gf options labeled directly on the menu which was wonderful. Did not get sick, great experience.
I’ve been here a couple times and have not gotten sick. My most recent visit they definitely brought out regular pancakes vs gluten free but were very nice about it when I asked since they looked just like my friend’s (who ordered regular pancakes). Stay vigilant but it’s a good option.
This place is one of my favorite little breakfast joints and I was super concerned that I would never again get to have one of their Mediterranean omelets after I was diagnosed. Instead they were the first restaurant I trusted to order food from. Much of their menu is marked gluten free. I did get my food take out because frankly I was nervous. The omelette was great as always and I was able to get a very good tasting gluten-free pancake to enjoy as well. I'm so happy I get to continue eating here and I really appreciate the staff. It's hard to comment on cross contamination because while I am celiac, to date, I have not had any symptoms related to cross contamination and since I'm new at this I have to assume at some point something has been cross-contaminated.
Found plenty of gf options. Great food. Very careful!
After asking the waitress a ton a questions, I ended up asking her to find out from the manager what the safest food they have for a celiac. The answer was toast. “Everything is on shared equipment.” They wash everything as best they can but that’s far from ideal. I was disappointed that this restaurant is listed on this app. I ended up getting dry toast with very cold lettuce and tomato and bacon. It was a cold and dry BLT.
I will say though, that I appreciated their honesty!
We are in from out of state. Ate breakfast this am and yesterday. I asked about the protocol in the kitchen. They use a separate grill for the gluten free pancakes, that were delicious. I did not try the gf waffles. There is a dedicated waffle iron for the gf waffles. They offer gf French toast.
Yum, sweet potato tot skillet with a side of gf pancakes!
Huge portions. Not a ton of GF options, but they were clearly labeled and careful with cross contamination. Lovely place.
We had brunch at Brunch Cafe when we were visiting the Chicagoland area from out of town. I had previously been to the Roselle Brunch Cafe but this was my first time at the Addison location (the restaurant looks brand new and given that it wasn't listed here until now, I think it must have opened pretty recently).
Absolutely delicious gluten free breakfast and the portions are huge!
I had the Bavocado, which is a skillet with potatoes on the bottom, choice of eggs, and bacon/avocado/cheese; they subbed out the fried potatoes that come with with skillet and gave me hash browns instead. It also came with my choice of toast or pancakes; I chose the pancakes and they were delicious. I confirmed that the hash browns, eggs, and GF pancakes are all cooked on a separate, gluten free surface.
I highly recommend doing call ahead seating because this place is packed, at least on the weekends. I joined the waitlist over the phone at 12:20 pm on a Sunday and we got our table at about 12:50 pm...so not a terrible wait but there were so many people waiting that there was no place to sit as we waited.
I can't wait to go back!
Our son wanted to go out for breakfast for his 8th birthday. This place is fantastic in every way. Friendly, welcoming smiles from the minute you walk in. Very attentive staff. The food was excellent, with very large portions (consider getting a short stack if ordering pancakes otherwise will need to take home left overs, but that’s fine). Everything we tried was very well prepared and quite tasty including omelets, waffles and pancakes. One significant factor for us choosing this place is that our other son has Celiac disease and and this place is definitely Celiac friendly. They have excellent knowledge for preparing foods separately to minimize cross contamination. Our celiac son really enjoyed his GF pancakes. They don’t have a separate GF menu, but the regular menu is clearly marked what maybe prepared GF. They also brought out a cupcake with a candle for our birthday boy. Thank you for all the staff and owner for this great establishment. Definitely will be back.
Eggs & hash browns were safe for me (made in a pan). I didn’t get the gf pancakes because they are made on the same griddle as normal pancakes but my mom had them and said they were good. Toast is made in a separate toaster!! Large portions.
GF pancakes for the win! Ham/cheese omelette and potatoes! So tasty and didn’t get sick! Server verified that they have separate areas to prepare and plates for GF foods! Can’t wait to return!
They have GF pancakes on the menu but the cooks in the back were not willing to clean the area to make them so that it was safe. The server would go back and ask questions so she was helpful but the kitchen staff that morning was unwilling to accommodate my daughters gf needs.
The gluten free pancakes were delicious! One time I forgot to mention I had celiac, and I did get sick. So make sure to talk about cross contact.
Eaten here many times and never been sick. Some staff aren’t as diligent about gf. Food is good and lots of options!
Great place, while I ordered carryout, quaint restaurant look. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. She knew immediately what was GF. I had GF pancakes with Omelette and potatoes, I never order pancakes, very good they were. Priced very reasonable. Gluten allergy, GFree since 2011
Staff was excellent! The food was great! My son and I are both gluten free and it’s nice to have options that are good
Ok so, this is a newer location, but the staff doesn’t get it yet. I think there is potential. But... I ordered a gluten free scramble. I ordered hash browns they said was gluten free. I got a side of “gluten free” pancakes which I tried to send back because they tried to service them on the same tray as the rest of my parties’ toast. Too risky. But... the manager then walked over and said that the pancakes are not made on a separate surface... ok... I said I had celiac disease... why did they get served to me at all? Glad I was worried in the first place. Then of course he offered toast saying they do have a separate toaster. The staff was nice enough and I think there is a potential there to learn, but they don’t have it right. So either explain how the food has to be prepared, or don’t go here. I’m honestly not sure what is safe and what isn’t, but the pancakes absolutely aren’t and I got gluttened with what I was told to be safe. Needless to say, my leftovers will be shared with family that does not have celiac disease. :(
My GF son loves the bacon and chocolate chip pancakes. We’ve eaten here four times and never felt sick (we’re very sensitive). They also have breakfast potatoes and GF toast cooked in a separate toaster among other things. Food is reasonably priced and delicious.
The GF pancakes are delicious! They have a dedicated toaster and microwave. When you notify them of an allergy, they take extra precautions to clean their cooking surface and get new utensils to prepare your order. They also offer GF breads to go with your meal. Never gotten sick here!
Delicious food and great service!!!
GF pancakes and toast! Food was delicious, huge portions.
Very yummy GF pancakes--although they were a bit on the overdone site; the server said they sometimes need to cook them longer to ensure the centers are done. The server also said they have GF toast but I didn't try it. I don't remember seeing GF waffles on the menu. I had an omelet and breakfast potatoes with pancakes on the side. I'm sure I could have also had a skillet or even just eggs and bacon or sausage with no problems. Everything was delicious--wish I lived in the area so I could go back more often!
The biggest and best pancakes!
Great gluten free pancakes. Also offer gluten free toast and waffles but I haven't tried them yet.
