Fries and chicken tenders were good. Burger wasn’t bad. Didn’t get sick as a sensitive celiac. My son didn’t care for the vegan mango vanilla shake.

Good experience! Dedicated fryer for GF fries, chicken tenders and onion rings. We ordered burgers and fries. They made the food on separate counter after cleaning the area and changing gloves. No issues.

It is great to eat an actual burger with a good GF bun! They also have vegan cheese and their fries, onion rings, and chicken fingers are gf.

A little worried after eating this but I was starving. They said the fries and tenders are in a shared fryer, so not safe. I ate only a burger on a gf bun, and my kid’s applesauce. I asked for my fries on a separate container for my kid to eat.

I have eaten here numerous times (symptomatic celiac) without issue. I love getting the fries, since I am sensitive to seed oils and they use olive oil and a gf frier. I will say to come when they are not busy. I came one day during a rush, and watched them prepare my burger and it was absolutely not celiac-safe. Everything was being prepared right where gluten was just seconds earlier. I didn’t eat the meal. They do say right on the door that they cannot account for cross-contamination though, so I can’t really blame them! For the most part, it has been a great experience eating there for me. I would only order in store so that you can be sure, if you are symptomatic.

I’m the assistant manager at elevation burger. I’m also gluten free. We will make your food separately and change gloves for you. We have Udi’s delicious gluten free rolls. Everything we cook in the fryer is gluten free. Any questions please let us know. P.S try the elevation burger on a gluten free roll . Yummy

The GF bun and food were good. They told me they didn’t have gf tenders or fries that day. I did eat some of the regular fries and didn’t have a reaction, but I’m not celiac. They have dairy free cheese slices and ice cream they make into shakes with almond milk.

Did not feel safe eating at this location and hoping I’m not sick in the morning (my symptoms take about 12 hours to appear). Staff not knowledgeable and despite conflicting reviews on site, I was informed fries were made in a shared fryer with gluten. I had a burger on a GF bun only.

They had good food. They were out of the GF tenders but the grilled tenders were good. They seem to have decent procedures. Prices are high but to be expected in the zoo. The wait for food was pretty long.

Gluten free buns and fried offerings (fries, chicken tendies) however not a dedicated facility. Eaten there twice with moderate discomfort and then the third time was super sick within two hours. Definitely a no-go if you’re highly sensitive.

The person taking my order said their fries were not gf and they wouldn’t change gloves before making me chicken tenders. Frustrating experience bc they have such good gf options but if staff aren’t trained to accommodate so that I don’t get sick, then I’m not even ordering.

The person I spoke to at the counter didn’t even know what gluten was. I ordered a lettuce wrapped burger and it came covered in crumbs. I got very sick later, so I’m sure they were crumbs from the regular burger buns. The prep area is very small and they don’t seem to take precautions to prevent cross contamination.

Absolutely love that their burgers are organic and grass fed meat and the fact that they use olive oil instead of canola! Gluten free bun was good, the usual restaurant gluten free bun lol. I have celiac disease but I’m not extremely sensitive and felt completely fine after eating here. Loved everything.

They have so many gluten free choices. Chicken tenders French fries and onion rings they are done in a separate frier. I didn't try the burger my bonus son did with a gluten free bun and he loved it. I had the chicken tenders, onion rings was so good. We also got the vegan gluten free df vanilla shake it was so good. I will definitely be going back. They where so good at knowing about the allergies. No problems at all. Was really nice to be able to have options and a knowledgeable staff.

Wow!! This place needs a new review. Gf buns, dedicated fry frier. GF onion rings and GF breaded chicken. Bun is a standard Udi’s. Onion Rings are crispy. Vegan milkshake options (oat ice cream, almond milk. Pricey but delicious). I haven’t tried the chicken yet. Can’t have too many calories at once!! As far as I can tell, they have made it very allergen friendly in the last year or so with decreased risk of cross contamination. This store also has a sign to let staff know about allergens. Checkout the website, very good allergen info listed in the online menu. Olive oil is used. This is a local chain with many locations. Did not get sick. Will be back… after a few miles on the treadmill.

Everything fried is GF—fries, onion rings (tasty!), and ckn tenders. Asked them to change gloves for my burger and they did. GF items prepared on a tray, so they don’t touch the counter used for making gluten-containing foods. There is a risk of cross-contamination; they take reasonable measures. Did not get sick after.

At the National zoo looking for food. Pleasantly surprised to find that the Elevation Burger has GF buns (udis we think) and fries are GF and fried with chicken tenders which are coated in a GF batter. So kids chicken tenders and fries are also GF.

The staff seemed well aware of celiac. They told us they have a dedicated frier for the fries and they made sure to point out which food was gluten free when it was delivered (food was also not touching, so bonus points there). Good-tasting gluten-free buns are available. The prices were decent for a touristy area and the burgers were AMAZING! I've rarely had a burger where the meat almost melts in your mouth. Super delicious.

The guy working the register legitimately knew nothing about any of the food he was selling. I read online about the restaurant but had never been so I had lots of questions about ingredients, what was gluten free, and cross contamination. He couldn’t answer a single one, couldn’t even confirm that the breading on the chicken was gluten free even though that’s what it said online. I tend to not trust people who don’t know what gluten is because I often get sick in these scenarios so I did not eat there. I’m sure other locations are fine but the guy at Hyattsville was incompetent and also rude.

Staff was not very pleasant especially the cook. The complained of being under pressure although there was only one small group behind us. The burger was average tasting and was dwarfed by the gluten-free bun. They do not take minimal efforts to prevent cross-contamination even when asked to do so. The woman at the counter cited their we don't have a gluten-free kitchen warning. Gluten free items and non gluten free items were prepared right next to each on the same surface and with the same gloves. I would expect better care in a diner. The onion rings however, we're gluten free and delicious. I would not return here.

We had stopped by and grabbed a to go menu before a bus tour. Was surprised at the amount listed as gluten-free. We went at 2:00 on a Saturday and it wasn’t crowded. I had a elevation burger on lettuce wrap with fries and my daughter had a guacamole ranch burger on a gluten free bun. Highly recommend the fries and elevation sauce. Super filling. Great place. We ate on the upper outside patio. My vegan daughter-in-law got the spicy fries with a tomato relish, Diaya cheese abs jalapeños as well as an impossible burger.

They do have a dedicated fryer, but there must be some serious cross contamination happening in the area where burgers are made. I should have known when the burgers all came out on the same tray. Thirty minutes after eating my lettuce-wrapped burger and fries (asked for GF and allergy alert) I was running to the bathroom. Glad our hotel is close.

Almost everything if gf! So good. If u are celiac, tell them!
Yes
Went here a few weeks ago when I moved into one of the apartments nearby. Burger was good, but just as a note they only have lettuce wraps as an option. Fries are gluten free but fried in olive oil, which isn't great for taste when actually frying foods. If in the area, it's a good option.
Staff great with Celiac knowledge! Burger was good, however, don’t waste the extra $2 for a gluten free bun. While it tasted ok, it fell apart immediately. Go for the lettuce wrap. All fries are done in dedicated fryer. They prepare gf on other side of kitchen and change gloves.
Yes
I went here for lunch with some friends because of the reviews I read, thinking that it was Celiac friendly. It wasn't. I got the chicken tenders and fries, and I got sick. All of my food was shoved into one bag with everyone else's. The food tasted great but was not safe for me to eat.
