Sometimes they seem a little confused when you order depending on who is working. I went one time and a girl said the icecream itself had gluten and other times they have been extremely educated on what is celiac safe. The concretes aren’t safe since they can’t clean them properly but the plain icecream with some toppings or the sundaes are safe. My go to is the turtle sundae! The pecans are perfectly salty and it is so good!

I eat Andy’s ice cream frequently. The custard is gluten free so you just need to pick gluten free toppings.

I get custard here often and have never had a problem with cross-contamination. I get a concrete with vanilla custard, hot fudge and Reese’s cups. Absolutely amazing!! However, the staff is typically not knowledgeable.

I've been curious about frozen custard for a while, so we went here on our cross-country road trip. I'd read about chocolate and vanilla being GF, so I confirmed with the staff and got a simple cup of chocolate. Whoa, it tastes like a fudgesicle! My gluten-eating bf liked it, too, and got his own. No issues. Hope to have some more before we leave frozen custard country.

We had a wonderful experience! The shift manager explained that all the custards were gluten free. We asked that toppings for my daughters custard be taken from the back stock to prevent cross contamination. They were very accommodating.

We have been successful with a basic vanilla custard sundae with hot fudge and caramel topping. Skip the maraschino cherry, those typically contain gluten (shocking, I know). Delicious!

This place is great! I keep it simple by just getting the plain yummy custard. If you tell them you have a gluten allergy, they will take precautions.

Staff was not knowledgeable of gluten free items and had to ask the manager. Custard is excellent tho and I found a quick reference guide, I’ll include in the pictures. They have shared equipment but willing to wipe it down if you ask

Stopped in with friends while in town and really thought there would be nothing for my daughter. We decided to ask and the manager said the custard was gluten free. He also gave us a listing of all the mix ins that are GF. He also told us they would clean the spindle. My daughter has no memory of what custard tastes like. She was over the moon with it. I tried some too! Delicious and safe for us.

I always ask them to clean the mixer for the concretes like they do when someone has a nut allergy. A lot of the concretes are gluten free. Avoid anything with pie, oreos, cookie dough, and pretzels and you should be good! I usually get the ooey gooey or the choc-o-rocko. Delicious!

Terrible!! Their custard is gluten free as are some of their toppings. I ordered a chocolate concrete with Butterfinger and Reese’s Pieces (all gf items). I also explained that I was celiac and to please be careful. I ended up biting into a pretzel that was carelessly thrown in about halfway through. Got thoroughly glutened. I would NOT recommend going here if you are Celiac or very sensitive.

Best frozen custard ever!! Chocolate and Vanilla custard gluten free. Hot fudge also gluten free. Carmel is NOT. Online they have an allergen menu to mark what allergies are in each menu item. Pretty self explanatory about the toppings. Tell server you have a gluten allergy and to clean the mixer machine for you if you get a concrete or jackhammer (recommend). They will know exactly what to do. When it comes out they will say nut allergy because all their allergies are under one tab. The cleaning process is the same so it doesn’t matter - you can still order peanut butter or nuts.

I love their ice cream and recommend it in general, but especially if you are concerned about cross contamination. I always choose Andy’a and they have never disappointed. If you tell them you have a gluten allergy, they will clean the equipment for you before they make whatever. There is also an allergy menu online that has every item with gluten marked. The ice cream is always good and the people are nice. 10/10.

Had the ozark turtle sundae- comes with vanilla custard(both their vanilla and chocolate custards are gf) pecans, hot fudge and caramel sauce. Staff was really friendly. They have an allergen list on their website. Other locations people say they’ve asked them to clean the machines for them but i just felt safer getting a sundae.
Got a sundae from Andy’s again. So good and didn’t get sick!

If you tell them you’re gluten free they’re good about changing gloves and scoops!
They have a paper gluten free menu to give out. Their custard is safe and so is most of their toppings. I don’t think the shake mix is gluten free so stay away from those. But super good custard!!

I had vanilla custard with hot fudge topping. The girl who took our order checked with the manager to make sure the topping was gluten free. I am very sensitive and did not get sick.
Yes
No clue as to ingredients of any toppings. Only knew custard was GF. No special handling procedures. Did not risk.
The custard is gluten free and some of the toppings like cherries, caramel, pecans, etc. I wouldn’t risk the blended options for celiacs like himself who are extremely sensitive due to cross contamination issues. However, I enjoyed a delicious sundae with caramel with no problems!
Will clean machines if you let them know you are celiac. Ice cream is gluten free, some of the toppings are but some aren't. They were able to guide me with which toppings were gluten free for the toppings that I was unsure of.
The staff knows Celiac! Brought a Nutrition Facts brochure to me and helped me go through the toppings. Also, manager made my treat himself, washed done everything he used and the work space! Awesome service!
Yes
They were very knowledgeable and had procedures in place for gluten allergies. Recommended getting a sundae so I didn’t have to worry about cross contamination of their blenders. Delicious ice cream and no reactions yet. It is not a gluten free kitchen so I can’t say that it’s celiac friendly but it is intolerance friendly.
They have an peanut free area that has not been around any toppings. We are sticking with plain vanilla and chocolate only in a cup.
Yes
Was delicious, but staff was clueless and sloppy and I got glutened. :(
They were informative that the hot fudge was not gluten free but most of their sundae sauces are and the fruit. The frozen custard is also gluten free. Very clean facility.
Yes
The chocolate and vanilla custard is gluten free. You can order from the preselected menu or customize your own sundae, concrete, or split!
Delicious ice cream, although they were very few gf toppings.
My guilty indulgence is the Snow-Monster Concrete. I have Never had any Gluten issue with this and the staff is really quite friendly and always a pleasure to order from!
Yes
We do plain custard and it’s gluten free. I wouldn’t risk the concretes
Yes
The custard is gluten free and there are several choices. I had the Snowmonster concrete (vanilla custard, melted chocolate chips & strawberries) without any problems.

Tell them you have a gluten allergy. They will clean everything and note it when you make your order. I get a strawana with pecans. So delicious!
Vanilla and chocolate custard is GF, however, despite what you make think, most of toppings are not (like obviously cookie dough, Oreos, peanut butter cups).
We love Andy's! My oldest son has celiacs and he has never gotten sick from their frozen custard. This is one of our favorite places!
The chocolate and vanilla custard are gf and is delicious! Just ask them to clean the machine before they make your order (they're happy to oblige). *I had the chocolate concrete with peanut butter cups :)
