As a person with a gluten intolerance, this meal was super tasty and the gf bun was so fluffy. I assume they cooked it on a different grill as it said on the website. overall good experience for people who are looking for new options :)

Took extra care with food prep to ensure family of 5 out of 6 coeliacs ate well, including chips cooked in a separate fryer.

Staff at Betty’s were knowledgeable about Coeliac. They made separate GF chips for me and took extra care with my order.
They state low gluten in menus due to working in a place which had wheat in the kitchen. But more than happy to accommodate for coeliacs. My food was put on a separate plate to my non-coeliac partner.
I loved my meat free burger and the milkshakes are incredible! I loved it but there is a small risk with this place if you are strict.
GF/Vegan buns do cost extra.

Got the bare Betty with is a burger with no bun and it was great! They informed me that their fries are all cooked in a separate fryer and that all of their sauces are GF. I ate here twice during our trip and didn’t have a reaction!

Recently had their chips - no reaction. The staff were very knowledgable and explained how they’d take care with order. Also ran through the menu with me to tell me what they could do GF. Will definitely go back soon to try their vegan gf bun

Nice burger place! I ordered the "bare betty" - a burger without the bun wrapped in lettuce leaves. It was delicious! On the in-store menu, "low gluten" items are marked on the menu (this is because they cannot guarantee no traces of gluten). If you look at the online website, it has an allergen information page, which indicates which items contain gluten and which items may contain traces of gluten. It does appear that all items either contain gluten or may contain traces of gluten, and there's a note on the menu that says they cannot guarantee items will be free from traces of allergens/gluten. If you aren't sensitive to traces of gluten, this is a great burger place!

Employees were quick to say “low gluten” not gluten free — would do their best but no guarantees. Had the “Bare Betty” in a lettuce wrap (which is a sad way to eat a burger IMHO) but was reassured that the fries were done in a dedicated fryer separate from the onion rings, etc. No GF beer but there were wine and cider options. Definitely a second place finisher to Grill’d.

Delicious burgers! Bare Betty is a great option, wrapped in lettuce. They have GF buns as well. Staff are very friendly and helpful with ordering GF. French fries and curly fries are GF and made in a separate fryer. French fries were our favourite.

French fries are gluten free as there is a dedicated fryer but I would be careful with the burger buns- they look gluten free but they were calling everything “low gluten” when I asked about gluten free options

After looking at a review on the app, I went to the restaurant after seeing a show. I spoke to the people there and was very confident that they would do everything to minimise any chance of cross contamination. The only thing I was told I couldn’t order was the crumbed chicken, but grilled chicken and fries were fine. Food was lovely, the staff fantastic and I happy to say I have had no issues. I do recommend here for a nice meal, but be aware they do use gluten in the kitchen, but staff change gloves, and was all utensils before making a coeliac meal.

It feels like they are a lot worried and have not really good experience with people on gf diet.
In fact food was nice, gf bun was the best I have ever had. Really good worth you can get for not too much money. In the city center. On multiple spots. Go for it!

They gave the standard shared-kitchen disclaimer when I said I am coeliac, but they also confirmed that they use dedicated fryers and would cook my bun on a different grill. The bun was DELICIOUS- soft and fluffy, the chips were great, and the meal was really cost effective.

Really don’t understand why everyone raves over this place? They can’t guarantee it to be “gluten free” and instead insist on it being low gluten and vegan. I then asked about the fries and if they had a separate fryer/if it they were coeliac safe, she said “we can do them low gluten” and yes they are in a separate fryer. & she said they would be fine for a coeliac, well if that is the case then wtf is this “low gluten” bs. It’s either coeliac safe and gluten free or it’s not. Food was gross, don’t recommend at all.

Nice and tasty food. GF was clearly noted on the menus and the staff were very aware if Coeliacs. The vegan burger bun is GF, however costs another $2.5, which seems a bit extortionate. Instead, go for the "bare betty" which is bun less and still lovely. The website does note they can't guarantee GF as it's a mixed kitchen, but try their hardest and staff were flagging my meal as for a Coeliac to make the kitchen staff extra aware.

I’m a very sensitive coeliac and did not get sick. The staff were very knowledgeable on cc and assured me they cooked the gf meals separately and that gloves would be changed. I had the grilled chicken burger and it’s the best gf bun I’ve ever had. I have been to Betty’s burgers in 3 states and all 3 have left me feeling well.

Betty’s have a section on their site about GF and LG (low gluten). Spoke to the staff at this store who were very happy to explain how things work. The shakes are all GF (except the cookie butter special edition ones) and they made sure to put a different coloured lid on the GF shakes vs the non-GF shake. Fries are also apparently cooked separately. Symptomatic coeliac 4 year old son had a choc GF shake and some fries and had no issues. Staff wore gloves while preparing the shakes and fries and washed their hands at the start and again if they were changing gloves. Went when it was quiet.

Measures to prevent cross-contact? The staff member handled the non gf items wearing the same gloves as they did when handling the gf items. If you are severely sensitive, I suggest not going here or stressing gloves need changing between handling. The staff were friendly and helpful, they also offer an allergen matrix. Unfortunately I reacted, but their burger bun as I was informed, is also corn free, for those coeliacs who also can't have corn, would recommend, just inform staff well and make sure they're understanding of needs. They do not offer a dairy free cheese alternative either.
