UPDATE: Came back. Asked this time to have sauce made with NO pasta water and it was great. (April 2024)
Have eaten here twice. 1st time got rosé gf pasta and didn’t feel great. 2nd time got the bruschetta cauliflower crust—delicious and felt great. The second time I was there my server said the Alfredo and Rosé sauces were not gf as they were made with pasta water and yet they are marked as gf on the menu. I will eat there again and will ask again about the sauces and the pasta water.

Gluten free items listed on regular menu, server told me the gluten free pasta is cooked separate from the regular pasta!
I had carbonara and garden salad! Basic food but at least we have options here!

Stopped in for a quick meal after a day of travelling. Found our server to be very knowledgeable about celiac, gluten and cross contamination. She mentioned that all staff receive training on the subject

I have Celiac Disease and I absolutely love East Sides!!
It’s always been one of my favs and when I found out they take cross contamination seriously?? Wow I was hooked.
They give a different plate, add a little marker to make sure they see no croutons and they always ask if it’s an allergy!!
Absolutely love eating here!

I ordered the double bacon carbonara with a cesar salad (no croutons). They made sure that chef knew I had Celiac Disease and they would take all the extra safety precautions necessary, the waitress even made sure that the cesar salad dressing was gluten free. My meal came out served on a different colored plate then the other people at my table to ensure they wouldn't get mixed up!

Yes
option menu sans gluten pizza et pâtes, mais pas de cuisine séparée.
I told the waiter I have celiac and asked him if they had a protocol for cross-contamination. He said yes, we are very careful. I ordered the strawberry spinach salad thinking it was one of the lower risk choices. When I received the salad it had 4 pieces of bread on it. I asked another waiter passing by if it was GF bread and he said no. I thought he was joking, but he said "no it's normal bread". He said he would bring a new salad. I made sure he understood he can't just take the bread off and he promised he would get a new one. I got the salad 2 minutes after... I trusted him and ate it and..... I was very sick the next day. If you have celiac, DON'T GO! They don't take this seriously AT ALL.
No
Staff was knowledgable. Did GF Pasta Chicken Amatriciana. It was ok. Had a separate GF menu which was nice.
I don't know what it is but whenever I go to Eastside Mario's I always have tummy troubles even though it says gluten free
This is one of my favourite restaurants and today was my first time there since finding out I have celiac.. I had the build your own pasta and everything that was gluten free was clearly labelled.. I had gf pene with rose sauce and spicy sausage, along with a ceasar salad with no croutons of course. it was delicious and I'm not sick at all! I will definitely be back!

Our waitress was very helpful and made me feel comfortable dining there. I told her as I was ordering that I am celiac and a small amount of gluten can harm me and the precautions she and the cool took to keep me safe were appreciated. I had the salad (no croutons) and they didn't bring tongs because they said they could have come in contact. I also ordered the gluten free pizza and it was very good. I know you can need be sure you're not experiencing cross contamination but they really put in every effort to ensure I wasn't.
Yes
I worked there for a short period of time and the gluten free pasta is not cooked in a way that prevents cross-contamination. Eat at your own risk!

They have a pretty good Gluten Free menu with Pizza, pasta, salads fish and chicken dishes. Kitchen doesn’t take there time making GF orders. I told the waitress I have a gluten allergy and it’s bad. I starting to eat my salad and found a crouton in it. She said sorry brought back and gave me another salad. The manger was to busy at that time to come talk to me. After dinner I asked to speak to the manger. She came over and said she was sorry I’ll talk to the staff!! There was it no discount or anything they don’t take it seriously there. I’ll never eat there again or any East Side Marios again. At any other restaurant they would have taking it seriously and checked my meal to make sure it was safe.

Excellent gluten free pasta. I had the build your own Alfredo penne. Very flavorful and large portion.
gly free portions seem smaller in pizza but was ok. crust was cooked too long tho.
Have had good success with thus location.
May have tasted good but caused me extreme stomach pains! Got "gluten free" spaghetti... no where near worth it.
No
Gluten free pasta, menu and more. I had the pasta. Was amazing!
Same great taste, now gluten free!
Yes
Entire gluten-friendly menu, tons of options to choose from, including salads, pastas and pizza. Not sure if they have a dedicated GF cooking space but I'm sure if you informed them of an allergy they would accommodate. Lovely staff and good location.
I've eaten off of their GF menu twice in the past month. The first time, they couldn't find the GF menu at all. When they did find it, I ordered a GF pasta option. Their cream/white sauces are not GF so I went with the simple red sauce. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and when it did - GF noodles, yes, but covered in Alfredo sauce (not GF). I had to send it back and ask them to remake it. By this point my dining partner (a child) had finished her meal. Given the typical attention span of a child, this was not a fun dining adventure. I asked for a takeout container right away and ended up throwing most of my meal out. We all know how well GF noodles, especially when overlooked, hold their shape and texture - yuck! My second experience was a little better. The GF menu I was handed was completely different (no pasta, just salad, salmon or steak). I asked and received the other GF menu (after our server verified that pasta was even available). I opted for the spicy red sauce this time - much better. The food was pretty good but I didn't feel very comfortable with the knowledge of our server regarding gluten in general (although she was better than some!).
