Bad at minimizing cross contamination. I ate here when visiting my family and their gluten free options are plentiful and well explained but I do not recommend for those with Celiac or very sensitive allergies, as I got sick anyway from their power bowl. Tastes good, but not worth the illness.

The person who took my order knew nothing about gluten. Luckily the was one person working there, Michelle, who was knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination. Food was quite tasty.

I always order the grilled shrimp tacos and and they mark it as an Allergy order. I have never had issues but I have no idea how strictly they treat it in the kitchen. Tacos are large and generous with meat portions. Their brown rice is GF but the Mexican rice is NOT!

Fresh tasty food with many vegetarian and GF options. Good prices too. I can eat here without getting sick!

Staff knows nothing about a gluten free diet. It took five minutes for them to find a GF menu. With instruction and oversight the food turned out fine and my kids didn’t get sick. Be very clear on what your needs are.

They have an allergen list but clearly don’t understand it. I ordered the supposedly safe California taco plate specifying a “gluten allergy” but it came out covered in what I later found out were not gf chips. The nearby Chipotle is a much safer bet.

So far , so good. Followed sharkys gluten free menu from their website. kids power plate needs a substitution for steamed veggies according to gf menu. Uhhh veggies I got looked grilled but staff said they were the same. Other than that, I do appreciate the staff notification of my intolerance/allergy. Overall this is one of the better places to get some gf fare. Got sick here recently. Too bad. I loved this place

This location has a lot of gluten free options and most things on thr menu can be gluten free. They are careful when it comes to cross contamination and use special care with food allergies. However, as of this posting, the chips are fried in the same fryer as flour tostada shells.

Never had a problem here with their power plates or chips/guac. If you get a salad, make sure they don't put anything "crispy" on it. The croutons are clearly out, but the pepitas are dusted in flour before toasting. Most of the staff is aware, it just takes a conversation.

They have non-GMO and organic foods, vegan and vegetarian options in addition to gluten-free options. Chicken, steak, salmon, tofu, beans, quinoa are menu items. I think the only thing with wheat on the menu is flour tortillas.

Most of their food is cross contaminated or has some gluten in it. I used to get their fajita bowl because I thought it would be safe to eat but I got sick a couple of times after eating it and when I asked to see their allergy chart I found out that some of the ingredients somehow have traces of gluten. Chips are fried in same oil as some gluten containing food

Fantastic GF Mexican food. The California Chicken Tacos are fantastic. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable of gluten allergies.

Be careful. The Chips are NOT safe. They are fried in same oil and fryer as gluten containing items are. I got sick 2 times here from cross contamination. It's off my list.

We love this place. The Naked Chicken Fajita bowl is so delicious! There are a few other gf options too but I can't force myself to not get the Fajita bowl. It's just too good to pass up. Staff is very friendly and the salsa bar is always well stocked with fresh items and a great selection.

Make sure they steam your vegetables not grill them, and switch out the white rice for brown. Also don't get the chips because they're not GF. Staff have been trained up since I got sick twice and management really care and want the GF items to be good and safe.

I have celiac disease and always feel sick after eating here, I wouldn't recommend it.

Sharky's has gotten better when it comes to eating GF. They do have a GF menu and I've found the employees to be surprisingly knowledgeable. The Power Plates are my favorite and they have marinated tofu for us vegetarians. The ingredients are organic and healthy. Great option for eating GF!

Really good food but you have to tell them that you need to to tell then that you need to Gluten Free and do not assume anything is Gluten Free. Example: corn chips are cross contaminated. Ouch!

Update: they no longer have a dedicated frier. I have no idea when this changed. We don't eat there anymore.

Man, I'm really torn on this one. I like the food, non-GMO corn, organic rice & beans, chips supposedly cooked in a dedicated frier. But super sensitive Celiac hubby reacts every 2/3 times we eat here. He pretty much ALWAYS orders steak nachos. I know they fire the nachos in the same stone oven thing that they cook their flour tortilla based pizzas in so maybe that is the source of the CC. My son hasn't had any problems after eating here but he pretty much only gets rice, black beans & broccoli. Another reviewer says the brown rice is not safe, but I thought both types of rice were GF... Guess I need to double check.

Have had good luck here so far. Cannot eat the chips because the fryer issues though. The manager is working on that. They have many options for gluten-free and will alert the kitchen to make a safe meal. Yummy salsa to put on chix taco!

Shakey's has some plates that are naturally GF, and that gave a GF menu. If you are really sensitive don't get the corn tortillas, they are cooked on the same surface as flour. Employees have no idea what gluten is so I tell them I have an allergy to "white flour" and that works. Food is really good.

I just ate the vegan quinoa salad..excellent!

the shrimp tacos rock! Usually shrimp is breaded not grilled so it's a great treat.

They mess up large orders frequently but food is pretty good.

Mexican food has so many GF options. Sharky's adds organic and non-GMO to the list. They are great about substitutions!

Great menu. Does not have gluten free on menu, but manager was very helpful and let me know what was OK to eat. I had stacked chicken enchiladas which were quite tastee! Manager told me chips were safe...they were yummy. Will go again. Would give 5 stars if menu was labeled so I didn't have to wonder if manager really knew what he was talking about...other than that, food was terrific!!
