We were pretty disappointed here. After reading through reviews we were very excited. However, after telling them I had celiac, they still brought out bread that WAS NOT GF and placed it right in front of me. We then ordered a GF gnocchi dish and they brought it out and my wife asked if it was GF. They did not respond. A couple minutes later our server came over and said that was not a GF dish. Luckily, I had not eaten it yet. They just seemed very rushed (and it wasn’t busy) and clearly did not take attention to detail necessary for celiac.

Most items can be made GF. Sea bass was absolutely amazing. So was the tiramisu. Staff were very friendly. Came back a second time and got pasta which I didn’t like as much. AIC certified.

Nice, cosy atmosphere, excellent service. Menu is heavy on seafood; this is not the place to go for beef. AIC certified, so you know you’re safe. Highly recommend the gf spaghetti alle vongole and tiramisu. Husband had grilled sole, worth it just to watch the waiter expertly de-bone your fillet next to the table, but make sure you get a lemon wedge to go along with.

I ate here for my first night in Venice. They brought out fresh, delicious gluten free rolls to start. I then had spaghetti with pesto ask my starter and Gilthead fish with vegetables as my main course. The pasta was delicious, the fish a little bland, but overall a great experience with a lot of options.
Amazing. 85% of menu can be made gluten free. bread was delicious. Gluten free pesto… and gluten free tiramisu. Have not had tiramisu in 10 years!
Gf bread was offered, different options were listed on the menu. Multiple desert options were available including tiramisu.

This restaurant was amazing. As soon as I said "gluten free" our waiter went to the kitchen to alert them, because my food would be prepared in a separate area. I ordered the gnocchi and it was the best gnocchi I'd ever had! The ambiance is wonderful and romantic as well.

Small portions with GF options. Absolutely have the GF tiramisu. Not certain we would return as the menu was a bit too simplistic and restrictive for GF options. Found out their GF bread was nothing more than bagged Schar rolls.

Nice ambiance. Very classy with a large outdoor patio and extensive wine selection. They had great bread, pasta, and tiramisu. Well labeled menu where most things could be made gluten free. Also had a lot of fish entrees and some salads if you don’t want pasta.

A number of GF options, GF bread and desserts available. Very knowledgeable staff. We ordered a spider crab appetizer and gf pasta with squid ink. A gf tiramisu for dessert made it a complete dinner that our family enjoyed. Beautiful garden in the back of the restaurant. This was our first night dinner in Venice and we were very happy with the experience.

Very beautiful restaurant. They do charge a service fee ($3 per person) but the environment is worth it. I got the seafood pasta. Turns out it is made with cephalopod ink, so that was a surprise. But it tasted great!

They take celiac safety seriously and use a specific color plate (blue-grey) to clearly identify specially prepared gluten free dishes. Most things on the menu can be made gluten free. Most notably, the quality of the food and wine was great. The crab and squid are delicious. I was recommended this restaurant by a local friend who is celiac and he noted that this restaurant is one locals enjoy and is not touristic (though they do have a menu with English translations so it’s accommodating if you don’t speak Italian).

Just a heads up their hours are either not correct or they may choose to close whenever they want! We have been trying to go to this restaurant for several days with no luck!
Today, we walked for over 30 minutes to get there right when they opened for lunch at noon and it was closed. We waited around for 15 minutes and then someone came out of a different door across the restaurant and said they were closed and will open at 7pm. We attempted to ask a question and he walked in the restaurant and closed the door.
Super bummed because we really want to try this place. I would recommend calling before going to see if they are open so you don’t waste your time like we did. There were no hours posted on the door either.

When asked if they had gluten free food, they replied they were a certified gluten free place. Most the menu could be made gluten free, and it was clearly marked which dishes were. It would also come out in separate colour dish. This was the only place in Venice, where I was served a gluten free (warm!) bread roll! My friend, who is allergic to garlic, onion and nuts, also ate there without any problems! Only minus, I think their only gluten free pasta is spaghetti (and gnocchi). Very delicious and beautiful place !

Everything but 3 items on the menu was gf! They are AIC certified. First served the most delicious warm roll. We got the gnocchi in meat sauce, the steak salad and the veal liver. For dessert we had the Most wonderful tiramisu! Set is a beautiful courtyard. Well know for seafood dishes! Polite and attentive wait staff.

My wife is coeliac and we both had the mussel starter which is Gluten Free and it was delicious, plenty of Mussles and Clams however my wife has about 7/8 mussels that’s hadn’t opened and we mentioned it and sent us some more.
For main with both has the Gnocchi with meat sauce, my wife’s was GF mine and was normal and the normal serve was amazing the Gnocchi was pillow soft. However my wife’s Gnocchi tasted nice with the meat sauce however the GF gnocchi was firm and appeared to be packet bought and cooked. It is no different to what we have at home in the Uk. This May no present an issue as it still allows for gluten free dining but don’t expect home made fluffy GF Gnocchi.
Onto desert and we both had the Tiramisu again GF and regular, the GF you can tell was made separately and it was deliciously custardly Infact I tasted my wife’s GF tiramisu and I preferred it over mine haaaa mine was richer with coffee though and I ain’t a massive lover of coffee.
All in all a beautiful court yard to dine for which we will be back again if opportunity presents.

Fantastic food. Very authentic.
GF rolls with the antipasti were phenomenal. Some of the best bread I’ve had anywhere.
My wife and I shared the spaghetti with clams and the gnocchi with red sauce. my daughter had grilled eel.
Both of our dishes were excellent. But honestly I feel like my daughter ordered best. The eel was so rich, soft and beautifully grilled.
The gf tiramisu was amazing. Best of the trip.
The gf food all comes on blue plates so it’s easy to spot. I wish more places did this.
Extremely service oriented, friendly staff who knew everything I could hope for from a restaurant.
I’d recommend Venice to any celiac, generally, but this was a special place. Recommend reservations so you can sit in the ancient garden.

Very good GF option; about 80% of their menu can be made GF. Their menu is quite seafood-heavy, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your tastes. We were seated in a beautiful outdoor courtyard covered with grape vines. The staff were knowledgeable about what did and did not have gluten, and they prepared me the best hot GF dinner roll I’ve had in a long time. I had the tagliatelle with pesto sauce (made with GF) spaghetti, and it was excellent. My (non-celiac) wife had regular pasta with bolognese sauce, and was also quite pleased. They list having home-made GF “sweets”, but we were both too full to try them out. Not as expensive as I expected; 35 Euro for the two of us (without wine). Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Seperate GF menu. They brought out a special little GF bun for me and it was delicious. The pasta and fish were fantastic. Lovely atmosphere
Fabulous dinner in the garden. My daughter has celiac and she enjoyed the filet mignon and caprese salad.

Staff was nice but rushed and forgot to bring a couple of things we ordered. Knowledgeable about celiac disease. Grilled scampi and crab appetizer were good. Sat in the beautiful garden out back. Brought out gluten free bread.

The most amazing gluten free pasta (I had spaghetti with clams) & homemade tiramisu.... such a delicious meal - wish I hadn’t discovered on our last day as would eat there all the time if I could. The staff were amazing & brought a delicious gluten free roll. Setting is gorgeous as well!
Yes
AIC certified. Not the best selection if vegetarian. My pasta (mushroom) was very buttery and not very tasty. I did trust the chef, as they were certified and he came out. They even said GF takes longer due to cleaning kitchen and making a separate space.
HOWEVER I did NOT trust the bread. The bread was store bought gluten free but I saw a host grab a regular bread with his bare hands... SNEEZE into his hand.. and use the same germ/gluten contaminated bare hands to touch the gluten free dinner roll and place it onto my plate. I did not eat the bread. I did eat the pasta and didnt get sick..
