Eat here quite regularly when I attend movies. They have cauliflower-crust you can sub on the pizza and gluten-free bun for burgers. No dedicated fryer but chips & queso can be subbed for fries. Never gotten sick! Just let me know you are Celiac when you order. They have a separate prep area.
I have been here twice now since my diagnosis. The first time was back in March 2024 and the second was last night. Both times weren’t good. Both times I wrote atop my order paper that my daughter and I have celiac so please no gluten. I spoke with our waiter and said no French fries because they’re not cross-contact safe. I wrote gluten free in front of both our orders and I ordered separately from the people I was with both times to make sure it was clear that our orders were *special*
Last night, they sent me a side salad with croutons three times before they sent me one without croutons. My gluten free sandwich was sent out surrounded by and touching the fries I did not order.
My daughter got gf/cauliflower crust cheese pizza. She said it was a bit “spicy.” Shes 7. But she didn’t have a reaction.
I got a Philly cheesesteak on a gf bun. I had it before so I thought I’d be ok and be adventurous. My response to gluten is severe abdominal pain. I am experiencing abdominal pain. It’s not severe yet but it’s likely I came in contact with gluten during my meal. I’m going to reach out to management because this experience was frustrating to say the least.
Additionally the food is overpriced reheated frozen foods. It’s not delicious or worth the price.
Based on the previous review, I ordered the popcorn and cauliflower crust pizza. I did not have a reaction. The popcorn was amazing, the pizza was just fine.
I have always been able to safe enjoy popcorn here, but wanted to try the dinner options. After speaking the with several, I felt safe ordering a GF Pizza and didn’t have any reaction! They cook and serve the pizza in dedicated pans - GF comes out on a square plate so you don’t have to guess when it arrives in the dark!
I was told the fryer is shared.
I was pleasantly surprised to be able to eat at the Alamo Drafthouse! I am a sensitive Celiac and I felt totally fine after having a burger and fries (yes, dedicated fryer!). Our server was incredibly kind and took detailed notes on my allergy, and answered my numerous questions about cross contamination. They do not grill bread on the grill so I had a burger, and they have a dedicated French fry frier. I was unsure how their oven worked for toasting bread so I opted out of the GF bun, but you could probably ask more questions about it if you’re interested. All of this said, the theater has a very strict no talking policy once the movie had started which gave me a ton of anxiety (also making it hard to enjoy the movie) while I waited for food—how would I whisper any of my potential one million concerns, if the meal looked wrong!!?? If you want to eat a meal, I’d recommend getting there like 45 minutes early because it also took them twice as long or more to bring me food—not a complaint at all, since it likely means they took extra care, but a reality to be aware of. Luckily I didn’t have to communicate with staff mostly in the dark during the movie!
My go-to here (at least 3 times a month, movie pass is awesome) is the grilled chicken Caesar salad with no croutons. I always put down “no croutons (allergy)” and sometimes they ask if it’s gluten, sometimes they don’t. About 1/4 of the times I order it, it arrives with croutons, and once about a year ago it arrived with croutons pieces in it meaning someone put croutons in and pulled them out by hand. The reason I keep ordering it is because IT’s DELICIOUS!!! I’m not even joking it’s the best salad in the state IMHO. I hear they have good gf pizza from a waiter I spoke to the last time I went, will try it next time. Thanks to the other reviewer here, I had no idea they had gf burger and gf fries???? I’ll have to ask again, the last time I asked a few months ago the waiter told me they had a shared fryer for fries and chicken sandwiches, and the burgers would have cross contamination from surfaces and toppings, so I’m surprised they obliged them.
