I had their chips and queso with my husband. I also had a burger with gluten-free bun and fries. I did not get sick. It was very good. To the point that I double checked with my server. They brought out a celiac server who assured me that it was gluten free!

I love the Alamo. They now have gluten free buns for the burgers and chicken sandwiches. The details of those change, so make sure you tell them to leave off other gluten items.

The menu has indicators for GF - that being said, there are only two items on the menu that are GF - the popcorn and the chips and queso. Pretty slim pickings considering they offer sandwiches, salads, pizzas etc. I’m assuming they may be able to remove the gluten items from offerings such as salad but since you’re eating in the dark and ordering via whispers I wouldn’t chance it.

I really wouldn't trust eating here, especially with Celiac. I love Alamo, but the three times I've ordered here, there was some mistake pertaining to my intolerance. The last mistake they gave me vegan instead of gluten-free, which hasn't happened to me... ever... I asked all the right questions and even clarified when they brought it to me, but it just seems like allergies aren't taken too seriously here. They comped my meal, but I will definitely not be ordering food here until they get stricter about food allergies.

I want to give this place 4 stars (vs. 3) but the reality is that I didn't feel great after eating here. I can't guarantee it was my meal? But it most likely was, so -- approach with care and caution, I guess.

I let the server (who was lovely) know I was celiac. He seemed knowledgeable and focused, and said he was flagging my order. I had the BLT club on a GF bun and fries (which he said were in a dedicated fryer). They also offer GF pizza crust.
