Everything is labelled “gluten friendly” but when I asked none of the ingredients in the build your own box contain gluten. It was good!

First time visiting here and was very impressed. The employee walked me through the options and made me feel comfortable in ordering. Lots of great options to build your own box or they have some tasty looking menu options.

Knew I was very safe eating here. The rice could have been more flavorful but otherwise this was exactly what you’d expect from a fast casual spot that does focus on fresh.

The entire establishment is gluten free and so no danger of cross contamination on site. Food is tasty and nutritious - build your own meals. Reasonably priced. Recommended for lunch especially. Perfect location if you are shopping at Eaton Centre.

Great food and a gluten free kitchen, although the staff informed me that the food is only considered “gluten friendly” due to possible risk of cross contamination in the supply chain. Most likely safe, as no gluten containing ingredients are used in the kitchen, but I’d still be careful.

Everything on the main menu is gluten free. They have added some "street kitchen" items during the pandemic that are not all gluten free, however when I reached out to them they explained that they take cross contamination seriously. The meatballs are incredible! I also love their chicken box with peanut sauce!

Love Basil Box. Been going here for a few years. Never had an issue with food. Great flavours!

All gluten free - Tom yum soup wasn’t edible but not the best. Still better than eating at a place with cross contamination !!!

100% gf. Staff is knowledgeable (or will check) about other allergens. The food is tasty, though not the absolute most amazing in the world. But the fact that my kid loves this place, and we can both order almost everything on the menu makes it a hit for us both.

Every time I eat here I get slightly sick. Idk what is going on, might just be me though. Friendly staff, great location, beaitiful interior.
To be honest, I doubt the staff is knowledgable about celiac and cross contamination, as they hire new people here and there. Imagine one new employee eating a subway for lunch, then coming back to shift in their innocence without the slightest clue of the dangers they are putting others in. I especially hate it when they speak over your food exposed, very triggering. Sucks because the food is good depending on what sauce you get, but it is definitely overpriced and they are stingy with the protein.

Everything is gluten-free so we don’t need to worry. Great flavours, tasty, healthy, friendly staff and nice space.
Love basil box.

I love Basil Box! Pick a base (greens, rice noodles, white rice, brown rice), a protein (chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp), 2 veggies, sauce, and "extras" like crushed peanuts and fresh herbs. The tofu is so yummy, and I like that you can mix up your ingredients a bit each time you go. As a vegetarian, my only option is the tofu, but it's a great little place to get a quick, safe, asian bowl.

Tasty food and so nice to have take away without worrying about cross contamination
Everything is gluten free so no worries about cross contamination. Simple menu - bowls with a base of rice or noodles (I think maybe lettuce too?) with veggies and a protein and then some toppings. Quick and fresh.

The first time I went the flavones were great. The second time it seemed a bit lacking but the food is fresh and works as an on-the-go celiac friendly meal. Wouldn't hike back there just for it again though.
Yes
Despite all the good ratings I can't go there. The lemongrass chicken is over spiced all rib meat. Barely recognizable as chicken. The recommended chili sauce was overpowering everything in the bowl and overall the dish tasted horrible. I won't be back but for a $10 rice noodle bowl I guess one has to hold back your expectations? Freshii is a much better experience for the same money by way of comparison.
Great place- everything is gluten free so you don't have to worry about explaining cross contamination and can eat worry free!

Another "bowl" place where they fill up a bowl with stuff you can pick off five different lists (like "choose your veggie" and "pick your protein"). I liked it but my dining companions didn't. Good for celiacs. Reasonably priced.
Everything is gluten free in the restaurant and the food is delicious. Would definitely recommend to any celiac looking for a healthy fast food restaurant!
Great food!! All gluten free!!
Fabulous! Everything is gluten free! Totally safe for Celiacs. Large seating space. Fast and friendly service. Good sized portions.

Amazing place!!!! Everything is GF

I just got back from lunch at the Basil Box. Although they have some gluten containing products they have always said they are made in a separate area of the restaurant. The build your own box from the front section is supposedly all gluten-friendly items and that there is no gluten kept in that area. Today, after ordering my food, I noticed they had GLUTEN containing spring rolls located behind all the sauces. Big cross contamination risk. I hope I don’t get sick as it typically takes a few hours. I have lost my confidence in their ability to serve me safely and will think twice about going back.
— Not at all
I was told everything is gluten free although they aren't a gluten free establishment. I haven't had a reaction to any of the food there.
Majority if not everything is marked gluten friendly.

Truly underwhelming on all fronts. Their menu looks amazing. But they were out of some ingredients due to supply chain issues and were unable to answer any questions about what was in the replacement ingredients, which made us wary of ordering those items. Staff seemed really checked out -- I am aware that no one at a restaurant like this is paid enough to care, but it doesn't make for a great experience. One thing my companion ordered was still cooking, so they made my box, but his took almost 15 minutes more to come out. So we didn't even really eat together. Food tasted okay, but I wouldn't go back.
