Always go there when visiting ISU, never had a problem until now. Had the GF chicken with spinach noodles. Half way through I noticed some regular full on gluten noodles on my plate. Needless to say, I was very sick and this caused me to miss most of my daughters graduation ceremony. Live and learn. Manager was concerned and comped my meal which was nice and unexpected unfortunately for me the damage could not be undone.
Best GF restaurant in town! Their GF flatbread is so yummy (it does cost $1 more per flatbread ordered.) They have a great GF menu!! We eat here quite often and have never had issues! Their risotto with salmon and grilled shrimp is outstanding!
I've eaten here many, many times over the years and have never gotten sick. Plus, the food is great! The only small negative is that they started charging for the gluten free bread (but the regular bread is still free). I'd rather that they charge for the gluten free bread than not have it, but it would be nice if they gave you the first GF bread for free.
I used to absolutely love this place. I went there the other day and found out they're now charging for gluten free bread and have changed the noodles they use to basic rice noodles. They really decreased the amount of service they'll get from me in the future.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! This place allows me to eat without worries! They have a full gluten free menu available. Ask for their GF flatbread (it cost $1, but so worth it!! You can also buy some to take home)! I always get pizza because it so dang delicious. They will also do their cannoli GF!! It comes in a martini glass and is amazing!!
I love this restaurant! I get sick off there is any contamination and I had no problems after eating here. the staff is wonderful, our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to address all of our concerns about cross contamination. the food was DELICIOUS! they have a nice selection of gluten free options and even provide gluten free bread (pancake style, very tastey).
We are from Florida and live in a small town, very few gluten free choices Biaggi's is high end, very good quality of food, and I've never been disappointed eating gluten free while dining there. Please try their GF flatbread, its unbelievable and endless refills.
We have eaten many items off the GF menu, tested with our Nima Tester and all were found to be 100% GF. We eat here very often and enjoy everything we’ve eaten. We even catered a holiday 100% GF from them and it was fantastic! As a Celiac with 3 children who also have this disease, this is a big family favorite!
I love Biaggi’s, but this location was an absolute joke. First, they brought out a dish made with gluten pasta (I have had their GF penne before and this was NOT GF). I took a bite, quickly realizing the mistake and stopped eating. I informed them that it was gluten pasta and was told that I was wrong. The (presumably) manager came over and showed me two separate unmarked noodles to prove me wrong. They proceeded to begrudgingly bring me the dish with the fettuccini instead. When they did they brought something totally different than I ordered and argued with me when I said it was wrong. Nothing further was done, and I had to pay for something I couldn’t eat. An absolute joke.
Staff were very nice and seemed knowledgeable. They said they have been dealing with gluten free for the past 11 years and even knew that I was celiac. They have a separate space for cooking things however the gluten-free bread brought to the table tested positive for gluten with my Nima and my GF pasta also came back positive for gluten. Sadly I won’t be back
Loved this restaurant, they had a gluten free menu and our waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten. I had one the best gluten free meals since I've been diagnosed. Also on our leftovers they put gluten free stickers on mine to not get mixed up with my husband's gluten leftovers.
Ordered a gluten free chicken parm. Cut up chicken and almost took a bit before I realized Noodles were yellow. Having eaten here before and knowing GF noodles here are green I asked for manager to confirm this was GF? He said it was not. They brought the wrong dish entirely. Someone who would not have known this would have gotten very ill. Will not eat here again.
Ate here a few times and had a great experience! Celiac safe. GF Pizzas, pastas and a nice selection of options. Highly recommend if you’re on the area. Edit: Came back recently and was served a salad with croutons twice in one week (accidentally) even though the server flagged it each time. Very apologetic staff but a little unnerving
The foods alright but not great. They have some nice options at a decent price and I haven't gotten sick from eating here. So, if you're out with friends in the area and need an option it's not a bad choice. It wouldn't be my first choice though.
Wow! Cannot day enough good things about this restaurant. So accommodating, full gluten free menu. Not sure how the pizzas are cooked so not marking as celiac safe but must try!!!!!!! Wish there was one closer to me.
I was in town visiting family and decided to give this place a try because of the great reviews! It’s didn’t disappoint! The bread was great and a perfect portion for 1 gf person. I had the Chicken Alfredo and it was amazing! I haven’t been able to find great Italian in a while. Will definitely be back!
This place had excellent service and the food was delicious. They brought me some gf bread which I’m pretty sure is their pizza dough bread. It’s very thin but had a nice flavor. I’d go back for sure.
The service is always hit or miss here, and the gluten free menu is limited if you don’t want pasta or pizza. I love the GF flatbread and I really enjoy the chopped chicken salad. I’ve been eating here for 10+ years and have gotten sick only once or twice.
Large separate GF menu with many many options. 1st visit May 2017 I had the chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes and spinach. Fantastic! Also ask for GF flat bread for table. I'll definitely be returning! Visit # 2 Oct 2018; SEA SCALLOP RISOTTO Seared Sea Scallops, Creamy Italian Rice with Asparagus, Corn, Cranberries and Pancetta, Basil-Leek Reduction, Red Pepper Aioli, Lump Crab This dish was highly recommended by waitress and I was not disappointed. Phenomenal Flavors!!!
After reading many positive reviews, I thought I would give this Biaggi’s location a try. My sister and I both have Celiac, and we both got very sick (most likely due to cross contamination) after ordering off the gluten free menu and notifying the waitstaff of our condition. While the waitstaff reassured us that there were separate cooking surfaces and tools used in the kitchen, they made no note of our condition while taking our orders and appeared defensive when we asked questions about the cooking surfaces and tools used.
The staff was very knowledgeable about their gluten free menu. Our waiter Deborah was very nice. Gf bread for oil and Parmesan was amazing. Gf pasta and meatballs was very good. Will come back. Ask for Deborah!!
AMAZING! I have Celiac disease and did not feel sick after eating! The staff was very knowledgeable about my disease, and they took great precautions. They even have gluten free bread to bring out as an appetizer! Their gluten free menu selection is absolutely wonderful. I will always come eat here when I am in town!
Best gluten free dining experience in Fort Wayne...friendly, helpful, gfree menu, always surprised by gfree bread (which was delicious- like a flatbread), and the chicken parmigiana is better than I make at home...delicious!
We were in town and needed to eat... when we saw gf Italian I got excited. Absolutely lovely. The ambience was intimate. We had a separate menu with multiple options. Salads, pastas, entrees, appetizers. Very knowledgeable staff. I has a salmon shrimp risotto, and my friend had the alfredo. They brought hot gf bread to us - prepared specifically for us.
The staff was very knowledgeable about a gluten allergy. My daughter (Celiac) received a gluten free menu and the waitress put in an order for GF bread right away. My daughter liked the bread and her meal, including the Creme brûlée for dessert! Would definitely return and recommend to others with Celiac Disease.
Waitress was, very knowledgeable about how specials would be made GF and offered even before I asked. Made me feel good about being there. Had the chicken parm from the GF menu. Bread was more of a pizza crust and they charge $1 a piece so probably will skip next time.
