Had a great experience. The server was knowledgeable and they have a GF crust in the 4 square size that was cooked on aluminum foil to stop cross contamination in the oven. Also ordered the Cesar without croutons. Very good experience. Ordered another GF pizza ro go, but it didn't reheat well in the microwave. Potentially would have been better in an oven. Looking forward to another visit.
Delicious food and prompt service but antipasti salad was not gluten free. The waitress assured me it would be, but cross contamination must have occurred in the kitchen. Was extremely ill for days.
If you are celiac: DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT. We watched as the person folding the boxes was coated in flour. Only dine in to ensure you are safe.
For dine in, all servers are friendly and will walk you through their disclaimer and precaution. You must stress you have celiac or an allergy for them to ensure proper handling. It comes on foil with a separate cutter. Sometimes it can be rubbery so ask them to cook it a few extra minutes (a server recommended this and she was amazing). There were times my partner saw crumbs or saw it touched my items and they remade it no questions asked. With all that, you still may run the risk of a glutening but they really try their best and it is usually a great experience.
The pizza itself is safe -they wrap it in foil and bake it on the top rack of the oven away from the gluten pizzas. The pizza is absolutely delicious. However, i did feel some pain the last time I ordered from here and I think it was because they placed my GF box on top of the non-GF boxes I got for my family. Since pizza boxes aren’t fully secure and can have crumbs/grease on the outside, it’s important to tell them to package & bag the gluten free food separately. I learned to just be more specific with them especially when they’re busy. I will probably be back. The ranch is not gluten free, btw.
There’s a separate gluten free menu that lists all of the gluten free toppings. The pizza comes out on foil with a separate pizza cutter. It was delicious. Was tempted to order a second one to go.
Unfortunately, we weren’t impressed with the crust. It is tapioca based. we think, and was very doughy. We asked for it to be cooked more and it helped a tiny bit, but it still wouldn’t be pizza we would come back for. The waitress said that a new kitchen manager took away the par baking step. Prior to this the gf pizza was better. We are giving the 2 stars solely for the waitress, who was very knowledgeable.
I really liked their square pizza. I was on a business trip, and I so wanted to take the leftovers home with me...but alas, no fridge in my hotel room. The waitstaff is knowledgeable. They use separate ingredients for the pizza and cook it on it's own pan/foil -- so it doesn't touch the inside of the oven. They had a nice Chianti also...really nice, cheap meal.
Have a GF menu. I got a GF pizza and was not impressed. I've heard they had great GF pizza so maybe mine was just an exception but it wasn't at all crispy on the bottom, sort of soggy and left my stomach feeling a bit unsettled. It's worth a try if you want pizza as most reviews rave. I prefer the crust to be a bit more done. Was served on a tray covered in foil and with my own pizza cutter.
Fantastic gf pizza. I love places where I don't feel like I am getting ripped off for having to be gluten free.
The best GF pizza in the metro area!! (And we have tried almost all of them.) The crust is not the cardboard thin kind usually found with GF pizza. There is actual "depth" to it. They also offer GF "Specialty" pizzas. We have never had a problem with cross-contamination here either. We drive in from Taylor to get their pizza.
MY FAVORITE PIZZA!! Not flat as a pancake as many others. Is actual dough! YUMM! They are small, four to six pieces, but well worth it! We go there anytime we're in town!
Didn't know the area so went with other user's recommendation. GF Pizza was small and expensive but delicious. Had the bacon/cheese fries and was warned that it is not a dedicated fryer. Taking my chances because they are sooo good. Only pizza is GF. Friendly staff, bathroom decent and family friendly.
Awesome GF pizza, only down is was waitstaff was not very friendly, our waitress had an attitude when I ordered the GF pizza and asked if I really had to have GF!
Great pizza. We got one pizza about the size of most GF pizza's for 13 dollars while on vacation. We could have possibly got cheaper if we went with the number of toppings option instead of getting their specialty spinach one with sausage added to it.
Best gluten free pizza ever!!
Not your average gf crust! Buddy’s makes a fluffier Detroit style pizza. They have safety protocol which includes cooking in foil and serving with a personal pizza cutter. We eat here often.
Buddy’s pizza advertises a GF pizza that takes 30 min to make and arrives on foil in a box. It costs more than regular pizza of course. My celiac son was violently ill August 2024 after eating this pizza. By time we walked from here to gorillas at the zoo he had to run to washroom.
