They have GF burgers and buns. Will take precautions for cross contamination. Fried foods are in the same fryer. Actual fries are GF but shared fryers. The expresso love milkshake is gluten free, along with the chocolate and vanilla just get it without the garnishes on top.
GF bun and dairy free shakes. No issues with the food or service. Very happy to find another place she can eat. Best burger she has had in a long time.
Staff was not very accommodating to helping with Gluten free options. Stated the menu was online- but didn’t know where to find it.
I felt like I was imposing when asking questions. Staff needs to realize how sick a celiac customer can get when eating gluten and be more sensitive to it. I tip very well when I go out since it’s an occasion!
Burgatory - shame on your for not educating your staff and no menu to assist.
A BYOB (Build Your Own Burger) is always a good meal. I am slightly disappointed that they didn't have more gluten-free options/flexibility to sub for the fries and that the staff wasn't more knowledgeable on gluten-free. I was very happy to be seated but it was a bit cold on the patio.
The allergy menu was very detailed and specified which items that were GF could be cross contaminated and which ones shouldn’t be. The menu was great! However, even after choosing things which weren’t supposed to be cross contaminated, I didn’t even make it home before getting sick. I choose a made-to-order burger (sans any bun) with mushrooms and provolone and wrote on my slip CELIAC- no gluten, as well as made it clear to my waitress, so not sure where the cross contamination happened but it did. Hopefully it was a one time thing and other people will not have that problem (like I said, the menu was great and should have been fine if procedures were followed) but it will be awhile before I try it again.
My waitress was fantastic and came back often to check things with me and give me options (I have egg allergies as well). Got a burger with lettuce as a bun and they upgraded to greens at no charge. If you don’t want to be “squeezed” for an extra 1.50 as so many have complained about, just get it with lettuce. The place is safe and I will be back.
Waiter was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Can get a burger with gluten free bun, side salad upgrade for free. Love the espresso milkshake without the booze, also GF!
They have a gluten free restaurant cross reference type menu...which helps you build your own burger - safely. The chips are not gf but they give you a free salad instead. The salad was wonderful from the fresh greens to their homemade dressing! We had an elk and a bison burger that was fantastic! Cooked perfectly!
Delicious gourmet burgers. I always order without a bun to decrease the carbs I consume so I can't speak for the buns.
I felt like I was in purgatory with the wait and messing up items. Also, it's $1.50 extra for GF bun and then $1.50 extra for GF side, so add $3 Celiacs! Is an $18 burger ever worth it? I asked them to put the free side on a plate for our not GF guest to eat, and got the charge anyhow. My sons burger order was completely wrong and my mothers burger didn't come at all. Make mistakes like that, and then tell me it's not cross contaminated.
They have a gluten free menu and will sub a salad for their chips for free if you have gluten sensitivity. I don't get sick here and they take gluten sensitivity and celiac seriously.
I used to LOVE this place before I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant. Going gluten free has been rough but very rewarding. I heard Burgatory had a gluten free menu and was rated well. They do and it was GREAT! I left satisfied and without tummy troubles. Bun was good and I was able to get my favorite burger...Elk Gone Wild! Super tasty and would probably be great even without the bun!!
The staff was very knowledgable about gluten allergies, and my food was amazing!! I will definitely go back to get another gluten free burger.
I am so happy to have this, and be able to eat there! The staff is very knowledgable about gluten free diets. I usually get the made to order burger, and write that I have celiac on the form so they know to take extra precaution. They only time that I got sick here was when I got take out (a little disappointing!) Other than that, this is a great restaurant and I would absolutely recommend!
Ask the hostess for a gluten free menu. Lots of food options. Love their gluten free bun or you can go bunless. Servers are knowledgeable but even if you don't trust them you can build your own burger and mention that you are celiac on the sheet you fill out so the kitchen knows. Fries are not gluten free but I've gotten a salad (which is really good) and coleslaw instead. This is one of the few places I feel safe at FWIW.
Arrived around noon on a Saturday. Didn’t have a wait, but the restaurant was mostly full. It took over an hour for our 6 lukewarm meals to come, and then when they arrived, there was a hair in one of the burgers. (People who were seated after us were served before us) Our waitress checked in on us maybe four times total. We had to waive her down to get waters. Overall, I feel safe eating here, but the service is truly lackluster.
My burger was absolutely delicious! Almost every topping is gluten free, if you build your own burger and the added options aren’t all upcharged either. The bun itself was very good and it didn’t have a gritty taste and actually stood up to the full burger I created. The burger was super fulfilling!
The host gave me hope getting in, but meeting the server almost made me cry! I told him “I have celiac” he answered “what is that”. I explained “no cross contamination with gluten” he answered “there will be!”. They told me to look up the GF menu online and the item I picked he said is FULL OF GLUTEN! 3 different people at the restaurant told me 3 different things making it impossible to trust the kitchen at all. Regardless of if it’s safe or not i would not recommend at all as it was so hard to order and communicate. They have me make a list to pick item by item but I had to be looking at another list and compare and figure out which items are actually GF. It was one of the worst experiences I had in a restaurant since I was diagnosed.
