Both of my daughters (children) have Celiac and get really sick if they have any gluten. The waitress, Kat was very knowledgeable on GF items and offered us a GF kids menu. With gluten free buns and even had some gluten free pasta. It’s hard as a parent to have confidence or trust in any restaurant but with all of their assurances and protocol, we felt safe.
This is the most amazing selection of gluten free food. It tastes unbelievably good. Service is great. Very knowledgeable about gluten free.

This is the ultimate GF experience. A full menu of delicious GF items and careful with cross contamination
The extensive gluten free menu is perfect for my husband who is gluten intolerant. He ordered the Maxx burger gluten free with truffle french fries. I had the crab topped haddock with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Our server Chris was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me pick out a nice glass of chardonnay. Dedicated GF
A full, normal sized GF menu available. It is almost identical to the normal menu! With vegetarian options available, and GF beer. We had a veggie burger with truffle fries, crab cakes with mash potato and sprouts, and their chocolate cake. Everything was delicious! Lots of measures taken to reduce cross contamination, and GF food comes out on specific plates. I can always depend on the staff to be knowledgeable, and the food to be safe for me to eat. Thank you Burton's!

Very great experience. GF menu and waiter was knowledgable. Ensured me that the square plates indicate an allergy and circle plates were "regular items". Got the bolonesase pasta and cheesecake for dessert. Husband got the seven layer chocolate cake and said it was very good for being gluten free. Desserts are made in house and they are very good!
My “go to” spot when I want to go out to eat and not worry. The staff is knowledgeable about allergies and the GF menu is extensive. Have enjoyed crab cakes, steak, truffle fries, salads, and more! Burtons should definitely be on your list of places to check out.
Food was delicious! They over cooked my husband's steak a little bit but he was fine with it, but they insisted on providing us with dessert. Service was wonderful!
This restaurant is our go to restaurant. The food is delicious! The servers are are great with food allergies. We have family members with nut allergies and that are dairy free and gluten free. We love that they have a whole gluten free menu and a dedicated gluten free kitchen! Amazing!! This is a great restaurant concept for those that are gluten free and with Celiac. We have not had any issues eating here. Thank you Burton’s Grill for your excellent food and service!
Haven’t had a bread serving, crab cake, or chocolate cake in year.
After being recently diagnosed as Celiac, it has been a challenge to be comfortable with the idea of going out to eat. After reading about Burton's Grill's commitment to taking food restrictions seriously and seeing that their founder has Celiac disease, I decided to go out for the first time in awhile. We told the server at the front that I am Celiac, and she grabbed the gluten free menus for us (which are the size of a regular menu!). As we sat down, the waitress asked if we had been there before (we hadn't), and explained that they are known for customizable menu options as their founder is Celiac. The food was great albeit a little pricey, but worth it to experience a safe and "normal" dinner out. Highly recommend the General Tso's Cauliflower appetizer!
Owner has celiac and culinary trained. Pretty much everything but the key lime pie is gluten free. Many options-appetizers, burgers and main courses with a few desserts. Ate lunch there. Food good, bun grilled a bit too much and fries while good a little colder than like. Super conscious of food allergies. Rewards program too.
The food was wonderful! Two of us have celiac and we had the burger, filet, Mac and cheese and bread service. The staff was great….so kind and helpful with the menu. Neither of us had any reaction to the food. Great experience and we will visit again.
Everyone who has recommended this place is right—such a safe feeling celiac dining experience. Food is served in a different shape of plate to differentiate from the gluten containing foods, but the options are largely the same between the two menus. We got an order of onion rings—the first I’ve had since my diagnosis—and they were so crispy and delicious that it is worth a trip there for those alone! The service was great, with everyone from hostess to server asking about allergies and explaining the menu. Already planning to come back the next time I’m in Charlotte!

My absolute favorite place to go! As soon as the server greets you they ask about allergies. They are extremely knowledgeable and make sure you are kept safe. I never get nervous when eating here!

I have been coming to Burton’s on a regular basis for over a year and they never disappoint. I feel safe eating here knowing that they take my celiac disease seriously. I do wish they offered more selections and mixed the menu up a little more but overall, it’s a great place!

This place takes food allergies very seriously! They have a great gf menu!!! Always make sure you get a square plate. We’ve eaten here many times and have had great experiences. They even made a mistake once on the dairy free and handled it so well. I highly recommend this place.
My wife has a ton of food restrictions and Burtons was nearly as good as an upscale Disney restaurant at being able to accommodate her. Also, their GF calamari was really good. Probably the most accommodating restaurant we’ve been to in CLT.

Burtons has been my go-to spot for a few years now. Dedicated allergy free kitchen and Fryer! I feel safe eating here and can’t say enough positive things about them overall.
They have a separate gluten free menu with just about everything on there. They have a separate fryer for fries and other goodies like general tso’s cauliflower! I had crab cakes which was such a treat since they have breadcrumbs most of the time. The server was very knowledgeable, reassuring and helpful. They definitely take gluten free seriously.
Always a safe bet. Loads of GF options. Can do fried chicken, fish, FF etc in separate fryer.
Great atmosphere and good food. I was happy to see the many different options and dishes for GF. The GF bread as an appetizer was the best GF bread i’ve ever had
