Cafe Cusco has great ratings, so, when passing through Springfield, we decided to try it. Most everything on the menu is gluten free, and quite a bit is dairy free. There was 5 of us, and we all thought the food was excellent . Our server was very helpful knowledgeable about gluten. Any item on the menu that was not safe was marked NGF (Not Gluten Free). Very few were. Overall, a great meal, served by a wonderful staff

This entire experience was wonderful, from the adorable seating to the food. The main courses were fantastic and there were so many options (nearly the entire menu). Our waitress had all dishes prepared with attention to gluten to ensure we could share across the table. The desserts were the real star, though. The cheesecake was unbelievable—a very subtle flavor, not overly sweet, with an amazing cheerio(?!) and pecan crust. I could not stop eating it even after I had eaten more than my full of the chocolate cake as well!

My favorite restaurant! We try to eat here every time we are in or passing through Springfield. They always treat us well, cheerfully and safely modifying our food as requested(usually without an upcharge), both for food allergies and preferences. The atmosphere is pleasant and prices are fair. Highly recommended!

Wow! I cannot say enough to explain how happy I was to eat here! AMAZING!!! The menu was huge! They don’t identify what is gluten free on the menu, but they identify what is not. It was only a few things that are not gf. Our server was fabulous. She was quite informed about the menu. She double checked on something for me. She was able to explain the dishes well and even recommended certain items. The food was incredible! I don’t know that I have ever had such a good meal. Appetizer was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone! I will definitely be going back every time I come to visit my daughter.

Not 100% gf but have a dedicated fryer and can sub rice for pasta and have a gf bun option. Love the fried avocado appetizer. All four entrees we ordered were good but the fried pork sandwich was amazing.

Absolutely adorable. We felt totally pampered from the minute we walked in the door and were greeted in Spanish by the cutest little hostess. Most items are naturally gf and they easily and cheerfully accommodated my df needs as well.

So happy the sisters in Thyme were closed on Sunday even though the app states they are open. Walked down to Cafe Cusco and it was amazing! A must stop next time we come through Springfield, MO. Service as right on and food was fantastic!!! Thank you so much:)

This place is amazing!!! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free! They have items with gluten marked which is different than most places. I got the pulled pork tacos and they were so yummy! We are visiting from St. Louis and really were stoked to find Cafe Cusco. The menu is clearly marked with what items are not gf (very few). So many options! The food was very good and both of us gluten free folk did not get sick (my son and I are very sensitive). One issue we did have was that someone gave me flour tortillas with my fajitas. I noticed it as soon as I opened the foil. I had my dad who is not gluten free try it to make sure I was correct. The staff was quick to rectify the issue and it was an honest mistake. If this hasn't happened I would have given them a higher rating. I am so glad I didn't eat the tortilla and trust it to be corn. We had the best nachos ever as a started I think it was called nacho picchu. My guests had lomo saltado and chaufa pork fried rice. We would go back if we come to visit the area again.

So glad to have found this restaurant on FMGF before heading to Springfield to visit a friend. The food was delicious (steak sandwich and fries) and I confirmed with the server that they use GF buns and have a separate fryer. Soooo pleased and no gluten issues afterwards! This place is worth a try if you're in the area.

I’m only disappointed this restaurant is in Springfield and not in Kansas City! Found Cafe Cusco via a Yelp search and my sister confirmed on this app that they’re safe for celiacs and she was excited to try it. Since being diagnosed, dining out has been a complete failure for her in terms of cross contamination and getting sick after ordering supposedly GF items.

We’ve both been to Peru years ago and we’re excited to try the food again. This restaurant was absolutely PACKED on a Thursday night. We managed to get a booth inside, which is beautifully decorated, but wished we could have sat outside on their nice patio with cute Peruvian decor. We have a couple South American/Peruvian restaurants in Kansas City, but none come close to the extensive menu offered at this restaurant.

In a twist, the entire menu is assumed to be gluten-free and the only items that are NOT are marked with ‘NGF.’ While extremely rushed, the waitress was knowledgeable about celiac and quick to confirm that the kitchen has a dedicated GF fryer and is used to GF requests.

My sister was excited to get a sandwich and fries. The bun was so normal-looking and tasting that we feared it actually contained gluten - that’s how good it was! We also tried the Lomo Saltado and the Chicken Para Rayos. I loved the chicken, and even though the portions look huge in the photos, they are really right-sized and we left without any leftovers. I only wish we had room for dessert.

The drink menu was interesting, but the cocktails too sweet for me. This is a safe restaurant and it’s great to have cuisine options that are very different from the norm.

I went last night and got an order to go. First thing spicy hot does not equate to flavor. Too spicy, little flavor. Second and most important I ordered gluten free for my wife and just a few bites into her meal she started having a reaction to gluten. I have eaten here before and was very impressed, this time not so much.

My wife and I went in the restaurant today 4/17/23. Our order was was seasoned well with the right amount of spices. My wife had no issues with gluten reaction today. Much better experience today

Delicious and safe! SO. MANY. Gluten free items on their menu! This is a go-to for us, as they are very knowledgeable with our needs and we have never had a reaction after our meals. Food is incredible, atmosphere is on point, and they understand celiac and gluten allergy! It's a definite yes. I recommend the Nachos Picchu or the Sweet Potato Noodle Stirfry!

Edit.....we went back for dinner the following week. Our experience was different. My son got glutened unfortunately. Very disappointing. He had the same dish that he had the previous week.

One of the best gluten free meals we've had in Springfield. Steaks, nachos, wings, chicken and rice dishes, gluten free chocolate cake. Almost the entire menu is GF. Items that are not gluten free are clearly marked NGF or specifically say "not gluten free". We will definitely be return customers. Three with Celiac and no reactions.

We came here due to reviews and gf. Food was very good but the service is very slow. I ordered the olive trout With sauce on the side. I was so hungry by the time I got my food I quickly ate it and then realized I did not have the spinach tomato or onion so went with it. We were just passing through and we not in a hurry so the slowness wasn’t that big a deal. If I had been in my hometown I would have left. BUT the food was very good

We stopped here on our way through Springfield as we saw the great reviews on FindMe Gluten Free! We were so incredibly impressed and pleased with our delicious gluten-free meal! Almost everything on the menu is gluten-free and the things that aren’t are labeled as not gluten-free. Truly there are only a few things on the menu that are not gluten-free… I total change from our typical restaurant experience! And our waiter was totally knowledgeable. They have a gluten free and our waiter was totally knowledgeable. They have a dedicated fryer too! Felt like a fun date night experience with the addition of our seven-year-old son along - who thought the restaurant was super cool. The environment was as perfect as the food! Wish we had a Café Cusco in Kansas City!

We have a 12-13 hour travel distance today. We are just a little over halfway to our destination. I find this place on this app. Immediately message them on their fb page to see about dining in and explain we’re traveling, in pajamas and towing. They say come on in! Seat us by a window, so we can watch our tow and dog. The food was AMAZING!!!!! The majority of the menu is gluten free and the few things that aren’t, can be made. You just tell your server that you are gluten free and any other allergies and they will take care of you. This will be a stopping point, when we make the trip back home to visit. Excellent!!

Really enjoyed our meal! The waitress was very friendly and pointed out that an item we we’re interested in was gluten free without us even telling her we were GF. Got the fried avocado for appetizer, fajitas for entree, and the warm chocolate cake for desert. All excellent! The Cuban margarita was great too!

Delicious and authentic Peruvian Cuisine! Very cozy atmosphere with enclosed booths that feel private. Attentive and easy going staff. And! My daughter is celiac and got glutened here. We were sure to let the server know and order something gluten free. I’m not sure if maybe a sauce was not GF or if maybe a pan was shared, hands not washed, etc. They have a great variety and flavors and they definitely tried their best to be celiac friendly. Slow service, but awesome atmosphere. Perhaps not every celiac will be as sensitive as my preschooler.
