I know the community feels the same as I do that being able to eat a pizza that tastes amazing and you know is safe is such a rare and amazing thing. It is why we always eat at CPK when we travel somewhere that has one. They only have about 4 pizzas that are validated gf but those are made in a separate dedicated area. My bbq chicken pizza came out marked gf, was delicious and did not give me any issues. I’ve never had any issues with the validated pizzas at any CPK and is one of the only places I feel like I can truly eat safely.
Update effective Fall 2018: they got rid of the good GF crust and the new allegedly GF cauliflower crust makes me sick 100% of the time. Off the safe list. Original review: Never a problem and love the GF crust!
Yummy, yummy, yummy! The GM brought out my pizza with gloves on and informed me that all of the procedures were followed. I got the barbecue chicken and was plenty for me and my brother to share. I also got a wedge salad that said it had gluten free ingredients but couldn't be 100% guaranteed however I didn't get sick. Very pleased with the experience and will be returning
Extremely knowledgable staff and great food. The only thing that could be improved is that it would be great if there were more vegetarian options than the Margherita pizza, as items can be removed from the pizzas but not added, in order to adhere to the gluten free guidelines. It's great to be able to eat out without worries.
The review below me needs to be revised because the California Pizza Kitchen has made a complete 360!!! They have about 5 CERTIFIED gluten free pizzas. I had the margarita and it was the best pizza I ever had!! It was crispy and chewy and AMAZING. Go try it for yourself! Our waiter was friendly and so knowledgable. Also the regular menu had a gf next to any gluten free items. I had a salad as well. Many options. Best dining experience I've had in a long long time!
Got the GF pepperoni pizza at this location, was a bit apprehensive since it wasn’t listed, but I’ve had good experiences at other CPK locations so gave it shot. It was great! They even have a corner in the kitchen, away from everything else and behind the oven, that has a big GF sign. The waiter was very attentive and knew all about Celiac and explained how they handled everything carefully and away from cross contact. Paired with a yummy happy hour pinot noir, it was a great experience.
I got sick the evening that I ate here but I can’t say for sure that this was the cause. I told the waiter I had coeliac which he noted and the pizza came out with a gluten free marker on it. The timing of my symptoms match up with eating here. Regardless of this, I found the pizza to be pretty tasteless and greasy. There are far better GF pizzas out there.
