very mid food in my opinion - I got the braised short rib risotto, the rib was pretty tough and the flavor was just a little off overall. The s’more bundino was SO sweet yet SO rich - I know that’s some peoples jam but it was a bit of a gut ache for me; they did bring GF bread (it’s just a GF bun) out as a starter, and to be honest that was the best part of the meal.
They do have a GF menu and appear to take proper precautions to accommodate for celiac. Just be clear with your waiter! As mentioned above, I do have a gut ache but I think that’s just from all the sugar and oil of the meal.

Loved it! Gluten free bread before the meal! The server was friendly and knowledgeable. There is a separate and sizeable GF menu. I got the penne with roasted butternut squash and really enjoyed it. We had a flight of bubbly wines. There were even multiple dessert options. The server was conscientious and thoughtful and brought my spouse graham cracker crumbs in a separate container for the s'mores budino (though next time I would get a different dessert -- the budino was way too sweet for me!) I liked the atmosphere, too. A new favorite, for sure! Reservations are probably advisable.

This was my first time here since going gluten free. They have a separate menu and I spoke with the waiter when ordering to let him know I am celiac and ask if the kitchen could be careful of cross contamination. He let me know he wasn't familiar with celiac and asked some clarifying questions. I am VERY sensitive and had no reaction to the food! It was really delicious also :)

Perfect for a special occasion! They have a gluten free menu and amazing service all-around. The server noticed I had requested a GF menu and brought me GF bread - amazing!! The server was also GF herself and said she’s never had issues with the food and the staff takes GF requests seriously. I had the short rib risotto and it was insanely good. Dessert options, too!

It was safe, there are a good number of options, but the food quality just wasn’t great. For a $75.00 meal it just did not have finesse, freshness, or quality I’ve had at Cooper’s Hawk in other cities. Safe enough, but not up to standard.

We were a little apprehensive due to the 33% celiacs saying unsafe. But I asked our server about the cue to know if gf- plate shape, food flag, etc. She said they put a pick in it that they remove before serving so we asked that she leave it in for surety.
AMAZING steak and chicken medera (sp?). Steak was perfect. We added the flourless chocolate torte which was fantastic. No hesitation about going back when we visit KC.

I’m celiac and dairy free. They make every meal from scratch so they can accommodate any allergy. Their gf menu is multiple pages! I love their burgers, pasta, and bread!
I've been safe here so many times and the wine is so good however at a dinner I ordered the gluten free cheesecake and a glass of wine (cause really dessert sometimes should be the meal). I was so sick. Now I am just hesitant to eat here at all. The wine is cool.

My sisters were visiting from Wichita and our server, who was amazing, pointed out that he too was from Wichita - wish I could remember his name, because he was so knowledgeable about the gluten free menu and he brought out gluten free bread before the meal and brought out chocolate covered strawberries after. He gluten free bread was amazing!!! We enjoyed an amazing meal!

Extensive gluten free menu with all kinds of goodies! My server assured me that they “take food allergies and sensitivities very seriously” and ensured kitchen staff complied and used clean gloves.
I have ate here on several occasions and never had an issue. I have Celiac disease, so do both of my children. We must have gotten the wrong server, not only did my daughters GF hummus and veggie platter come out with pita bread, all 3 of us were sick within hours of eating there. Clearly the food came out wrong, there was no offer to take it off the bill. He brought it back so quickly I know he only removed the bread, not replace the whole platter as I asked. I understand GF is a pain for restaurants, but if you don't want to train all of your staff and make sure they follow the protocol DONT have a GF menu.

Omg so good! Pages and pages of GF offerings. So darn yummy and the waitress was so knowledgeable and understanding. I will be back!

Cooper’s Hawk might be my favorite place to dine GF in the metro area. The staff is knowledgeable and kitchen is trained on minimizing cross-contamination. I have eaten here monthly and never had a reaction. The gluten-free bread is yummy and their menu has countless options. My favorite treat to grab there is the Cheesecake pops!

Excellent GF menu! Waiter was very knowledgeable and brought me some GF bread to have with my meal. Food was fantastic. Kitchen staff will change their gloves and take extra care of you.

Great food. They even have a full gluten free menu including desert!!!

Staff was very knowledgeable. They gave a huge GF menu. I've been there twice with no side effects. Ice had: hummus w/veggies, tai lettuce wraps, Greek shrimp chopped salad, shrimp and scallop risotto, and crustless lemon ice wine cheese cake. Was there last night and the even brought me a small loaf of GF bread. Outstanding place. Wine is awesome also.

My family and I recently dined with them for my birthday, my mother, brother and myself all have celiac along with other autoimmune issues. Every single one of us got sick, having had different entrees and not touching the bread before the meal. I had the vegan gluten free option which contains hummus and cooked vegetables with rice, they originally brought it out with pita on the plate and took it back. I didn't complain while there but I think other celiacs should be aware that this kitchen did not do a good job catering to celiac needs.

several gluten free options, including a gf roll beforehand.
Knowledgeable staff. Lots of options. Very good food
This is a chain but this kitchen is well versed In preparation and food safety for celiacs. I had Chicken Madeira and it was delicious. I have eaten in this chain in Naperville, IL so I know the food is good. Have a salad and the GF chocolate "cake". Fantastic.

They have a LARGE gluten free menu!! It made made me feel like at ease and they knew what they were doing. It is also nice to feel like a normal person wating out with the amount of options there are! They are also wonderful about accomodating other food allergies you may have. LOVE this place!

always ask, then ask again to be sure what you are being served is gluten free. I am not exaggerating when I say 4/5 times something always has to go back because it is incorrect.

Huge gluten free menu. The waiter even brought me gluten free bread and butter when he brought the bread out for the rest of the table. I about died of happiness. I've never had that happen before. Their gf bread is delicious. I had a burger and fries and felt just fine after dinner. I was so glad I got to eat at this place. It was perfect.

Their gluten free menu just can't be beat. Sandwiches are amazing, the GF buns are so soft and moist. We love this place, simply because the food is awesome and they have their own GF menu!
Mexican Drunk Shrimp is amazing, salmon season and cooked perfectly. Great wine, great service.
very unknowledgeable staff. get sick every time I ate here and finally just stopped going. too bad, because the food was good.
Outstanding menu and options. Phenomenal service as well
Large gf menu! Great food & wines. Able to work around dairy allergy too.
Large gluten free menu. Gluten free bread was delicious. Meal was very good.

Food tasted good but I got violently ill after I got back to the hotel. I have no idea if it was gluten or something else.
Very accommodating and do use proper procedure when preparing your food. I have never had a problem except for over eating :) they have tons of entrees to choose from with a gluten free brownie as an option for dessert.
Yes
Super accommodating with all sorts of allergies/celiac. I have to avoid dairy and eggs at the moment for cross reaction issues and they were really helpful. Also they list all the drinks that are gf! I love when places do that. The kicker, the food is DELICIOUS. I had scallops with jasmine rice and it was amazing. Definitely a pricy meal, but this was a birthday dinner so totally worth it.

Great gf menu!! They even brought gf bread. I felt like I was pleasantly surprised at the variety and taste!

Bad experience here. Unknowledgeable servers. Took three tries to get my order right
They had a very large gluten free menu that was pretty impressive. They offered Gf buns and even a Gf brownie. The food was delicious, however, I did get very sick afterwards. Great intentions, but I think the wait staff needs to be further educated.
Cooper's Hawk is an AWESOME restaurant. Great food and great service! It's totally worth a trip!
They had the best GF menu I have seen anywhere. So many more choices than most places, including a brownie for desert and buns for burgers and sandwiches. The staff was wonderful and proud to help with any questions I had regarding the menu.

Visited for the first time recently and had a fantastic experience. They had a whole two pages of gf options, and even brought out gf bread to start the meal! The server was knowledgeable and service was great. Got the short rib risotto and the salmon and both were delicious. It is a shared kitchen so there is risk of cross contamination but our experience was good and it didn’t cause any symptoms afterwards. But be forewarned they may try and get you to sign up for their wine subscription!

My new favorite! So many options for gluten free! The meal started with bread……gluten free bread! 😲😲😲 I ordered the steak salad. It was delicious! I would order it again. There was a whole front and back menu of gluten free options. There was also many choices for gluten free dessert. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable and even was asked by the hostess if I had any allergies. I would highly recommend. I will be back.

The regular food is fantastic and they have a gluten free menu. My wife has celiac disease and has had several items including the gluten free bread options, desserts, entrees and more without any issue. This evening she noticed an item on the gluten free menu that normally is not gluten free (ponzu sauce). The manager came over and discussed it with her and after reviewing the recipe with the kitchen staff they realized the gluten free menu had a misprint. At any rate, it was completely safe, gluten free and great (lettuce wraps). We will continue to go to Coopers Hawk and the Sarasota location is great!
