Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have celiacs so I know when food is cross contaminated. The employees will wash their hands, put on new gloves and clean off the ice cream scooper if you explain you have gluten allergy. They also made sure that the cookies did not touch the rack or the counter in the oven. What an ice cream sandwich! So good!! I was not throwing up 3 hours later, which happens every time I eat gluten. I have since gone back many times. One note, the ice cream ingredient list does not say gluten free so I always get vanilla and I have been fine.

Delicious GF options - they typically have 3 kinds of GF cookies and most of the ice cream is GF!

Every time we have been there, as soon as we tell them it's a gluten allergy (I know, Celiac isn't an allergy but that's their verbiage), they change their gloves and use a scooper that's in a container for GF scoopers. They usually have at least 3 different kinds of GF cookies, what's not to love?!

DD was able to get a gluten-free vegan cookie with soy ice cream. She was in heaven. They are very careful when putting the ice cream on the cookies. I watched and asked questions. It's always a good idea to remind them if you are intolerant.

Absolutely fantastic food, and even greater service. I went in expecting no gf cookies, and that I would just have to get a cup of ice cream....but on the contrary. They had a decent selection of gluten free cookies and soy ice cream. The dude even asked the magical "is it an allergy? Or Preference?" question. Not only that but he held the crowded line to heat up my cookie, offered to change his gloves, and even disinfected the counter in the mean time. To top it off, the cookie ice cream sandwich was damn delicious.10/10 would go again and again. 1,000 stars.

I specified I was celiac but the shop employee didn’t know what flavors were gluten-free, and directed me to non-dairy flavors (I am not lactose intolerant)

We were excited to try CREAM because the website menu indicated which flavors were (& weren’t) gluten free, and even appeared to offer GF cookies for CREAM’s specialty, ice cream sandwiches. Unfortunately, not all staff were trained in safe GF/allergy food handling practices; the person helping us seemed annoyed by the request to change gloves and looked at me with blank confusion when I asked if the ice cream could be scooped with a fresh scoop from a fresh bin in the back, to avoid cross contamination. The manager came over and helped with the clean scooper, but apparently it would take too long to get a fresh container from the back (i think because it is frozen hard and would take too long to thaw? wasn’t 100% clear), so we ended up not getting ice cream. Kind of a bummer. There was one GF cookie (snickerdoodle - not a flavor we wanted so we passed); it was stored on the top shelf of the area where all the cookies are stored, so CC was possible but hard to tell.

They do not understand cross-contamination. They put my gf cookies in a shared warmer, reminded them I had celiac and then they put the now cross-contaminated cookies back in with the gf cookies.
