I am only in the mood for a burger once in awhile. I really enjoy theirs. I get my burger lettuce wrapped. Don't need a not great gluten free bun anyway. I can't think of any even non fast food places that the flavor is better. Same with the fries done in peanut oil that I don't have to worry about cross contamination on.
I have had very good luck at this location on multiple visits. I order a bowl with burger and veggies, sometimes cheese. I learned to not order mayo and I put on my own ketchup from the condiment area. The mayo is from a shared tub and they put it in a plastic cup on the side. I saw sesame seeds and bun fragments in it so didn't use it. Make sure you communicate your needs clearly. I have gotten sick at another location probably from shared mayo.
Excellent service. Great fries. Dedicated firers because that is all that goes in any of them - no worries about chicken nuggets or breaded fish patties in there. Generous serving sizes too. Great burger served on lettuce wrap. Better tasting patty than other fast food joints, or even some other sit down chains.
Service was horrible! I ordered gf veggi and it came on a bun took it back and they told me we don't have gluten free here. the girl who remade my sandwich kept rolling her eyes at me and didn't change her gloves so I told them they need to change her gloves and she really got sassy with the sighs and rolling of the eyes. they have no clue DO NOT eat here!!!
Dedicated fryer, with great fries! I've gotten burgers and fries. For the burger I've done lettuce wrap or done my own gluten free bun. The quality of the meat and veggies are top notch and the fries aren't contaminated. That is what matters. I completely disagree with Edward. Some of the gluten free buns at burger places are too small or don't taste all that great, and often times they charge more for one. For side dishes, the most popular side for a burger is is fries. A lot of fast food places are cooking breaded chicken strips and other crap. Not so here. The reason why the quality is high despite being fast and cheap is this place is simple. This is not a sit down restaraunt. Keep things simple and do it right. I'd gladly give up an overpriced gf bun, for better quality meat and fries that are not cross contaminated. K.I.S.S.
Like most burger joints, if you're GF, you're pretty much limited to side dishes. Unlike many other burger joints, Five Guys doesn't offer GF buns. There are plenty of burger places that do, so patronize them instead! If you're not GF, then Five Guys is delicious, but if you're not GF, then why are you using this app?
Always depend on Five Guys...for safe, GF options. According to guidelines, fries never come in contact with bread/gluten. Rolls are toasted on separate grill.... advise them of gluten allergy and this location took great care,..thank you!!
So good! They are pretty knowledgeable for a chain!
I’ve been to MANY different five guys restaurants. This is the first time it’s made me sick - despite telling them it’s an allergy, I’m very sensitive, make sure you change gloves, etc. Food tasted great but my guts will be recovering for the next month. Go to the one in Eugene instead.
Fries, yumm! One person was new, but fetched the ingredients list for allergens. Another stepped in to confirm. He changed gloves before scooping up my fries. I thanked him and he felt good about it,too. 😊 Thank you Five Guys! And team.
This is one of the better five guys I've been to. The shift manager reminds employees to change gloves and not touch other orders until mine was completed. I never usually have a problem but another location closer to the strip gave me a lettuce wrap with bun crumbs all over it (they fixed it and were nice about it, but I had to explain CC to them). I usually order a burger with lettuce wrap and Cajun fries. Love that five guys is always available as a safe option when travelling
The staff was knowledgeable, restaurant was clean and they had great communication about my daughter’s celiac disease. We told them she had a Gluten allergy and she has eaten successfully here twice now!
This location asks allergy or dietary when you order a lettuce wrap or bowl (without bun) for your burger. One person prepared my burger bowl start to finish without touching anything else. (They also changed their gloves before starting.) My husband was with me who eats gluten. They put his burger in a separate bag from mine. We also got a large fry to share and they put those in a separate bag too so his burger would not contaminate them. (Five Guys only fries fries, so there is no cross contamination in the fryer which is a nice treat!) I was very impressed with their food handling and my lunch was delicious!
When asking for a burger wrapped in lettuce they ask you if it’s preference or allergy. They sanitize the counter, change gloves, put your meal in separate bag, and hold the bag until you pick it up to ensure no cross contamination occurs. Has been great every time. I don’t know why, but it’s so nice to be able to just say yes when they ask if it’s an allergy and they make it celiac safe rather than having to explain celiac to someone.
My husband has celiac disease and when we ordered they immediately notified the staff that he had it. One cook said they'd handle our order, we watched her change her gloves and take every precaution not to cross contaminate. I would definitely recommend 5 guys. They take celiac serious. My husband didn't get sick at all.
UPDATE: I have returned here numerous times and ordered lettuce wrapped little bacon burger w/tomatoes, pickles, mushrooms and green bell peppers. Haven't ordered fries due to nut allergen, and I have not gotten sick at all. They are very aware of how to prepare gluten-free orders at this location. Told the cashier I can't eat gluten, and my meal needs to be prepared with safe handling. She told me she never heard of this allergen and asked her manager who happened to be nearby. The manager was knowledgeable and told me who will be preparing my meal. The cook changed her gloves as the cashier took my order. I ordered a lettuce wrapped little burger and little fries. Since I'm also dairy-free and nut-free, I really wanted fries and I know they use peanut oil to cook their fries, I won't order the fries again eventhough they were fresh and soooooo good. The only reaction I did notice, I was a little bloated after the meal which I know was the peanut oil. Overall I felt fine.
Easy to order a burger as a “bowl” or in lettuce wrap. Their French fries are safe even for celiac since they don’t have any other wheat products on their menu that get fried.... so 100% dedicated fryer. They keep the burger and bread areas separate but if you’re celiac I’d specify they change gloves and are careful. Peanut allergies be warned though!!! They have peanuts to snack on and use peanut oil for frying.
They have gluten free options. They are hot dogs with no bun in a bowl and a Burger with no bun. They fries are 100 percent gluten free. The only thing they cook in there fryer is the French fries. When I place my order I say I have a gluten allergy. So I will get the bacon dog or bacon cheeseburger no bun in the bowl. On the side catchup, mustard, mayo, pickles and jalapeño peppers. Little fry and a large drink :)
Very knowledgeable about gluten free/celiac. Dedicated fryer. Hamburger buns are grilled on a separate grill from hamburger patties, so cross contamination is not an issue. They offer lettuce wrap burgers, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp!
Cashier very helpful and when I told her celiac she said without hesitation "right I've got it"...I watched them clean and prep the counter by lining it with several layers of foil, open new lettuce to make my wrap and take out some condiments that were in smaller containers from the fridge in single serve ketchup containers. The even bagged my order separate from my non allergy family members order. I felt comfortable with their response and did not get sick.
Great burgers, staff take your orders and then one person stays with it right to the end to ensure your safety, haven’t been sick yet. Just across from the cinema. The burger comes wrapped in lettuce and really well wrapped too, so it doesn’t get super messy. The Large fries are HUGE. Easily the best fast food burger type restaurant I’ve eaten at in Qatar so far
They are not gluten free unless you want a hamburger on lettuce. They do not have a separate fryer.
Had a burger on lettuce with a few toppings, it was tasty. Fries are also gluten-free and really good. Staff here are super nice and helpful in general and they were careful to avoid any cross-contamination ( changed gloves, made it clear to everyone on the line that the order was gf etc) they were great! The missing star is for not yet having a gf bun option, but the lettuce wrap was substantial ( plenty of lettuce ).
Their staff is well trained. I've eaten their several times and not gotten sick. It would be nice if they had gluten free buns but the lettuce wrapped burger is still really good and the fries are safe!
I can't say enough good things about the allergy awareness of the staff. Most pleasantvdining experience I've ever had. Very knowledgeable of celiac and other food allergies/intolerance. Their cross contamination prevention was amazing, called out to other staff in communicating about taking care of the "allergy" order and never missed a beat in changing their gloves. And only non-breaded potatoe items "fries" are fried in their refined peanut oil.
I went here for lunch today and watched the person making my order change her gloves *twice* throughout the process. She was so careful to keep my order in a separate area and change her gloves before touching my food.
