Ice cream cake!!! Instead of filling, we chose ice cream in our gluten-free cake. I have never tasted a better cake in my life!!!! We even re-froze a slice for later and it was just as good as the day we bought it!!! This has been so much fun, we enjoyed ourselves through every bite! Thanks for customizing our special message on top of the cake as well...The "old man" definitely got a kick out of it!!!!

Absolutely incredible gluten free bakery! The best gluten free baked goods I've ever had. We had the eclair puffs, raspberry cream puff, cinnamon rolls, chocolate raspberry entremet and quiche. Everything was amazing, my favorite was the cream puff. The croque monsier with pickles was to die for! The bread was so gluten-like it had my partner and I saying are you sure that's gluten free? We drove 45 minutes to get here and will gladly do it again!

Note they do not have many vegan options, there were a few but their thing is making gluten free foods as similar to their gluten counterparts as possible so I understood going in that most things were not going to be vegan.

Flourless is AMAZING! I drive up from Folsom every other week to partake of the deliciousness that Richard bakes. First of all, every single item is great. You won’t go wrong with whatever you choose. I happen to love scones, and these are the best. The cinnamon rolls are truly amazing. The lemon tart is also a favorite of mine. Basically I fill 2 boxes with mouth watering goodness, bring them home and put half in the freezer. Then I feast for 2 weeks and make the trip again!

I LOVE flourless! There are so many wonderful things to eat here. The bourbon Orange Canele’s are spectacular! The cinnamon rolls are fantastic. The scones are great. The cranberry orange white chocolate is my favorite. The bear claw is what gf dreams are made of!

Everything Richard makes is amazing for the gluten free community as well as those who can safely eat gluten products. You really can’t tell the difference, which brings tears to many eyes when they experience eating things they have not enjoyed in years. I have been gf since 2010 and let me tell you, there has never been this quality of gf baked goods in Northern California. I have tried the two other bakeries that provide gf baked goods…Oakland and Sacramento/Roseville and neither provide the quality and taste due to the focus on vegan products. I appreciate Richard’s efforts to provide delicious baked goods to those who will never be able to safely eat gluten. I am so very grateful to you and all your hard work to make this happen. How did Placerville get so lucky to get this gem of a bakery? We hit the jackpot when Richard decided to open this brick and mortar. Whether you’re gluten free or not, you will love these delectable, super high quality baked goods. Flourless is a gluten free experience unlike any other. You will be blown away by not only the taste, but the options. Richard (the owner) has allowed me to try tiramisu, focaccia bread, cream puffs, eclairs, quiche, tarts, gallate’s, and more that I missed out on due to celiac disease. When you walk in you will be tempted to get one of everything and if you do you won’t be disappointed!

This is a small dedicated gf bakery with both sweet items and savory/lunch items. Just enjoyed the quiche Lorraine for lunch - very good. The quiche pastry is yummy (which isn’t always true for gf. …). Also purchased some sweets-the raspberry cream puff was delicious and not overly sweet. So glad this bakery has opened in Placerville!

The macaroons are out of this world. I love their warmed cinnamon buns with coffee! The zucchini chocolate muffin was moist and yummy! The triple layer chocolate cake is wow! I haven’t yet tried the lemon merengue, but it’s in the fridge for tomorrow! So many unique desserts and pastries and other gluten free goodies. It’s a must stop in Placerville. Currently only open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

If could give this place 100 stars I would. The customer service is amazing and the food and baked goods are the best I’ve ever had—I never say this, but you truly wouldn’t know it was gluten free. The products are unique and delicious no matter what you get. I’ve never had gluten free like this before. The lemon tart, scones, quiche, and croque monsieur are spectacular— but I can’t pick a favorite.

OMG.

I am so happy we happened into Flourless today. I discovered my gluten intolerance earlier this year, and I have been trying to find good alternatives…and today I finally got to have a really good sandwich, again. The croque monsieur was absolutely amazing and the gluten free bread gave both the crispy and soft bits that you want in a toasted sandwich. I also got a few desserts for my holiday and just dug into the chocolate cake….ermahgerd. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Placerville!!

Amazingly clean bakery with a variety of breads and sweets. Had a focaccia and Brie sample, ham and cheese, sandwich, and quiche. Everything is amazing and we met the owner, Richard, who was extremely knowledgeable, and obviously long term pastry chef.

The best gluten free bakery I have ever encountered. I have traveled to quite a few places across the west and east coast. I have never encountered a dedicated gluten free bakery much less one of this quality. If I still lived here full time I would likely be there every day they are open.

This is hands down THE BEST place to go for gluten free pasties, pizza dough, breads, everything! It was love at first bite and Richard is pretty amazing also. I drive from Citrus Heights to Placerville as often as possible & sing his praises to anyone who will listen. If you thought you’d found good gluten free treats before - I’m telling you, Richard’s offerings are ten times better than you could even imagine! I’ve tried so many items and each one knocks me off my feet. Make the trip! The shop may be small but it’s full of magic and love.

This place is incredible! I can’t believe everything is gluten free. The lemon meringue is to die for!! They also carry a tasty gluten-free sourdough bread from Bloom Bread. I feel so lucky that they are in Placerville. My son has celiac and was so excited that he could pick anything in the store!

This place is SO GOOD! I made sure to get there 15 minutes early because I wanted to have options and I’m so glad I did! I got cinnamon rolls, eclairs, and a tiramisu. This is definitely worth the drive but make sure you’re there early!

These pastries are exceptional. Not just like, this is good for gluten free, it’s just really truly good!

The smell and texture of the focaccia brought me right back to my Nonna’s house. I honestly didn’t think I’d ever taste a good focaccia again.

We got an eclair, lemon tart, apple tart, canele, focaccia, and ciabatta. We couldn’t pick a favorite dessert, the flavor is so complex and the textures are perfect.

Make the drive, you won’t regret it.

I have been a fan of theirs for a while (through Almighty and the Marketplace) and I’m so happy they have their own space now! I was there on opening day and picked up some ciabatta rolls, eclairs, tiramisu, and an INCREDIBLE apple, walnut, blue cheese galette. I popped the galette in the oven at home for a few minutes like they suggested, and everyone love it the flavor combination. The ciabatta makes great toast and sandwiches. The pastry cream in the tiramisu was positively decadent. I’m looking forward to trying the lemon tart and the Paris Brest on my next visit. I’m a baker as well, and I’m often disappointed with gluten free bakery items because I can do a better job myself. Finally, here is the bakery I have been waiting for after twenty years of being gluten free. It’s worth the drive from Sacramento!

Yum yum yum. We were lucky enough to find this place on opening weekend via my favorite app (find me gluten free). The danish blew me away!! The coffee cake was pretty good and the eclairs were amazing. I can’t wait to travel back that way for a stop. If you are interested, be sure to get there early. They only had a few options left for us and it was only 9:00 am.

10,000 stars! Flourless is not only one of the best GF bakeries ever, it’s an excellent bakery period. My husband can eat all the gluten and he will legit try to eat all of my lemon meringue tart!

Flourless does the standards like cookies and cupcakes but where they absolutely shine is in their pastry. GF ECLAIRS, for goodness sake! Galettes! Tarts!

I’m dying just thinking about it all. Not to mention the excellent focaccia. Oh, and a little rum flavored French cake that is just a bite of heaven.

If you are anywhere near Placerville, do not miss this bakery.
