Had the mussels appetizer and shrimp scampi. Was ok, did not have much flavor. They did have a gluten friendly menu, and asked if anyone had allergies. The fried food looked delicious, wish they could do gluten free!

Expect a long wait. Save some shopping for wait time. Our 1.5 hours was more like 2.
We went to Alligator Adventure and then came here for lunch. My hubby is celiac, and 7 year old is intolerant. Fries aren’t gf bc they’re beer battered. Hubby got the gf jambalaya and the rib stack as an appy. Ribs were really good, he said the jambalaya had no flavor and didn’t finish it. 7 year old got a cheeseburger with string beans - he ate the whole thing. I got the pulled pork sandwich, it was ok, needed some more bbq sauce. Great atmosphere, we had a good time. Would probably go back.

I just wanted to add, they did finally put tamari on the menu! They warned me the sushi was at risk for cross contamination and it did give me an upset stomach. If you’re sensitive, don’t eat the sushi. They have a decent gluten free selection! They also ask you at the start of the meal if anyone has an allergy. Very tasty! One diner on here remarked about the mahi being dry. That happened to me at another restaurant and I asked for it to be grilled. Our server gave us a great tip. Don’t have them grill the fish, it dries it out. Have them pan cook/pan sear it. Hope this helps!

Mixed bag - we felt safe for sure but not as many choices as we thought. The GF menu is NOT celiac safe, everything is shared fryer. Plus they have sushi, which should be fine, but they don’t have tamari, which seems silly (I recommended to mgt to purchase a few bottles). In addition, they have only imitation crab meat for sushi (not GF) yet this is a seafood restaurant that serves crab! Just simple misses that could make this place a winner. The ribs were GF and they were great.

Sat at the bar. Ordered 3 appetizers. Buffalo shrimp, steamed oysters, and peal and eat shrimp. I also have a soy allergy and they were very helpful in checking the ingredients and adjusting for me. Very accommodating!
Came here for Valentines dinner. They do have a GF menu. I ordered from the fresh fish selection, tilefish , grilled with green beans and mashed potatoes. Food was good but I do like seasoned food and I thought it could of used some. Also I like my green beans well cooked and these could have been cooked longer for my taste. Still overall good and the waiter was very accommodating to my allergies.

The first thing they asked was if anyone at the table had an allergy.. The waitress was knowledgeable and assured us allergies were their specialty. Alittle pricey but Extremely friendly professional staff!

I decided to come here because of the great reviews about the establishment and their care with allergies. 3 stars b/c my food was 👎🏻. But-my family loved their food- baby back ribs, Cajun snapper and a filet. Side items of rice, red baby potatoes and corn. I got a dry mahi-mahi on the thin side with dry-ish rice. The little bit of mango salsa I got didn't help. The green beans were the star. I should have sent it back. The waitress forgot to bring me my gf menu, and that worried me a bit. However, the other waitress asked her customers about allergies first thing. So- maybe it depends on who you get. 🤷🏻♀ Nobody got sick from the meal and we enjoyed fair to excellent food with a pretty decent ambience- overlooking the water.

The first thing the waitress asked was if anyone had a food allergy. I was told that they could make my meal gluten free and told me which items were not available to me. The food was delicious.

Waiters ask if anyone at the table has an allergy when they greet the table. I’m celiac and could eat the fish dip- they bring celery, had the boil with crab and shrimp AND they have GF flourless chocolate cake. Amazing meal
Had shrimp scampi and Gouda mashed potatoes. Food was okay and didn’t make me sick. Facility is a bit run down.

My husband and I ate lunch here today for the first time. I do have Celiac disease and they do have a gluten free menu. My husband is not a seafood person but he was able to order a salad with chicken from the regular menu for himself. I ordered oysters scampi, crab stuffed avocado and a wedge salad from the gluten free menu.... It was so good.... The restaurant is really neat. Will definitely be back next time...

We had a wonderful experience! I have celiac and several food allergies (including paprika) They worked with me and prepared my crab legs and sides in a separate area. The food was delicious and service was wonderful! We will definitely be back!!

I rarely go out to eat, since it can be quite stressful to work with a restaurant to convey my diet restrictions due to Celiac and other autoimmune condition. We decided to attempt this restaurant after reading the reviews and the number of people rating on this app.
This restaurant has a separate modified menu that is specifically gluten free. Unlike some restaurants, this separate menu actually lists the prices so you don't have to keep looking at both menus.
I have an additional diet restriction of also being dairy free in addition to Celiac. I let the waitress know this when ordering. I was hopeful that this would be conveyed well to the kitchen. Our main course was brought out by the restaurant manager, and she volunteered to get the sauce for my shrimp from an uncontaminated container.
Later in the meal, we realized there had been a mix up when our second entree we had ordered to share did not come out; the waitress had misunderstood when we said we would share the one entree instead of both entrees. The manager again came over and took care of us. It turned out that the second entree that we wanted, the Jambalaya, on the menu was "gluten free", but not necessarily Celiac friendly. She had the kitchen make a Celiac friendly separate version, which was fantastic.
After the entree mixup and wait for the 2nd entree to be cooked, the manager also unexpectedly took care off our bill.
I would definitely eat here again.

They have a decent size gluten free menu. Their smoked mahi dip is delicious. This is brought out with crackers at the beginning. Our waiter saw that I had a gluten free menu and said he would bring celery out for me. I appreciate that they have dishes like the buffalo shrimp that you can get steamed instead of fried.

Food is great, but my son had symptoms before we left the restaurant.

Great service our waiter had a food allergen list with him inside his order book. They were very aware of how to handle allergens. Great fresh salmon. Will definitely return.

Wait staff and servers were all accommodating, knowledgable and welcoming. I had the mArket fish (Mahi Mahi) with mango salsa, chef's veggies (green beans), Gouda mashed potatoes as well as the complimentary mahi mahi dip. They offered to bring me celery in stead of the bread for the dip. I didn't even need to ask! They even brought my food on colored to plate to designate it was gluten free for all the staff that my food encountered! The food was very good. They had a decent selection of food intolerances.

Had the shrimp scampi, vanilla ice cream, and enjoyed sitting outside on the deck! They were very well informed and knew how to handle celiac!

My second visit to Flying Fish Market was better than the first. And the first visit was great. Gluten free (and allergy free dishes) are served on blue plates. The rainbow trout and rice and veggies were fantastic.

Excellent service and food! They differentiate allergy meals with blue plate and seemed to understand cross contamination importance. Will definitely go back!

Loved the GF app of shrimp w wing sauce. Good options for fish. The rice was just eh
I wanted seafood and not typical chain. this place is in one of those huge outdoor mall/theater complexes. menu was limited but lunch food was really great. for about $17 I got one of the daily fish options and it came with hoppin' john rice and green beans which I usually cant stand and i had iced tea. fish was cooked perfectly. you can dress real casual and eat at big bar or go in Khakis or sunday clothes or less fancy and eat at table overlooking water (sound not beach). workers very helpful.

Super friendly, patient, and accommodating staff; the hostess, waitress, and sushi guy. Snow crab was fresh and so flavorful! I'd go back!
