I’ve been interested in this place ever since I found out it existed. And for good reason! I tried it this morning and it’s AMAZING. I got the pink lemonade doughnut and the lemon poppy seed pound cake and both were so good and I couldn’t tell they were gluten free! Service was great too. I highly recommend this place.
Great bakery! In terms of gluten, I felt completely safe. I was slightly disappointed because there were very limited dairy free options. Didn’t use nut flour which was a plus as I am peanut and tree nut free as well. If you’re solely avoiding gluten, this is a good bet!
I love this place. By FAR my favorite GF bakery in Portland for sweet stuff. I love it because it isn’t overly sweet like other places I’ve been to. I like sweets don’t get me wrong, I just don’t like feeling sick after one piece of cake (I’m looking at you Petunia’s).That cinnamon roll is to die for. Also the cheesecake. Also the donuts. Pretty much everything I’ve had has been perfect.
The sweets I’ve tried from here are pretty good. The house salad was also pretty great. The vegan savory tart, however, was super bitter and neither my husband nor I could eat much of it. Still giving 4 stars because they have a totally GF kitchen.
Inviting little bakery and cafe. 100% GF and also lots of dairy free/vegan options. Small food menu, had the savoury vegan tart for breakfast. The crust was very good! Only minor complaint was that it was not well heated. Also had a lovely raspberry glazed doughnut (nice to be able to partake in the doughnut trend that is prevalent in PDX 😜🍩) and the soft pretzel to go which was very good.
While on vacation, I stopped here to buy several items for the following week. I was a bit disappointed that I could not purchase bread or rolls. They said they focus mainly on dessert/sweet type items. The cinnamon rolls were delicious with a lemony taste, but the blueberry coffee cake and a pretzel like roll was not edible. As a celiac I avoid oats, and many of their items were ruled out because they are made with oat products. While the items did not make me ill, if I come back to the area I will not return for more.
Bakery items clearly marked as Gluten-free, Gluten-Free & Dairy Free, and Gluten-Free Vegan. Everything is gluten-free. We had raspberry coffee cake that was GF & DF. Very good! On the sweet-side. They had a wonderful array of muffins, breads, cakes, & cupcakes. Yummy!!!
So happy that this place was right down the street from the Crowne Plaza where we ate staying. Great quiche and a wide variety of baked goods with a nice area to sit and enjoy. With celiac in our family we really appreciate dedicated GF facilities. Will come back next time we are in Portland
When I finally got diagnosed with hashimotos and went gluten free, I shed ~30lbs. Now I'm putting that weight back one gluten/egg free berry muffin at a time because they are so good that I have ZERO self control! I like how they color coordinate their labels by allergens. The shop is cute and New Seasons carries a few things.
It's so nice to be in a new city for work, knowing you are heading to a breakfast meeting where you can't eat anything, and find a place that is dedicated gf. Many vegan options too! I may have splurged just a little. :) Lemon pound cake and scones were great. But my favorite...the soft pretzel! I can't remember the last time I had one, and it didn't disappoint. Friendly staff, clean and cute place to sit and eat.
Oh my gosh, these were the best peanut butter brownies I have ever had. Then I tashed the pumpkin bread, and the apple crumble slice. It is so hard to find anything Gluten free, and I just happen to stop in from the Doctor's in Portland and they had a basket of your goodies at a Deli. Now I would like to order some and have them mailed to my house. Thank you so much for baking something Gluten free that my whole family loved. Goodies with such flavor. I can't wait to send some to my soon to be daughter in law who also is C.S. Thank you again. This is a 6 star rating!! Penny
