Went to Hershey during Christmas time and the only gluten-free options are at the Overlook, which is cafeteria style fare at restaurant prices. All other allergy-friendly options, with the exception of Chick-fil-a, are closed during the winter months. The Overlook was highly disorganized. A sign at the gluten-free section said it was closed and that customer should ask for a manager at the pizza counter. After waiting in line to talk to someone at the pizza counter, I was told to get a grab-and-go sandwich from the cooler. I then explained that none of the sandwiches from the grab-and-go are gluten-free. A manager finally found an employee to make me a GF southwest chicken wrap, but that took another 20 minutes of waiting. My $12 southwest chicken wrap was mediocre at best. While I am appreciative of having one option for a safe meal, it took a huge amount of time, effort and money. Despite Hersheys rules against bringing in outside food, next time I will pack a sandwich from home.

The Outpost has a separate GF/ vegan area in the back by where you pay. Do not wait in the front line. Walk back by the cashiers area and you can order safe GF and DF pizza, chicken tenders and fries. It is a separate safe area but it takes 15-20 min to cook. They also have packaged GF treats.
Chick- fila also has safe Grilled nuggets and fries along with the Grilled sandwich on a GF bun.
The 1906 outpost has GF buns for burgers but the fries are in a shared fryer so not GF.
Not a ton of options but very grateful to have a few safe options and my daughters were not glutened over 2 days.
Also please be aware at the outpost that the GF menu lists a GF wrap but that is actually a vegan wrap as the wrap contains flour! They had the item listed in the wrong section of the menu.

Tried to go to Flying Fare, which is their allergy friendly restaurant. Come to find out that it's only open for half the year (spring and summer only, not open during Hallowee n or winter hours.) Was able to get gf chicken tenders at The Overlook. Beware of the grab and go cooler though, all the labels say it's a shared prep area. The manager I spoke to guaranteed me that the chicken tenders and fries were baked in their own oven, in a separate prep area. I only had the chicken, and was not ill. Be prepared to spend a lot on food, or to not really eat much.

If you are looking for strict gluten free as a celiac, try the Flying Fare or The Hollow. All other gf options are ordered with a hard cross-contamination risk. The Hollows gf pizza is baked in the top oven separately from all other pizzas and it comes straight from the frozen box. I also saw them change gloves so it made me feel very comfortable ordering here, plus I didn't get sick.

The photos say it all. The Outpost was closed every time we tried to go there. The Overlook Cafe had a "gluten friendly" menu. When I tried to ask for help, the employees had no clue. The best meal my daughter had was leftovers we snuck in. I strongly advise having food in your car you can eat in case you can't eat anything they have. Hersheypark needs to do much better.

We ate at chick fil a, when I questioned them about shared fryers I didn’t get clear answers. I ate a salad and was okay.
Most of the park stands had something gluten free but most were not meals. I did have an amazing jolly rancher milkshake 👍🏻

Hersheypark does a good job of labeling allergens in the dining section on their app which made us hopeful for good food in the park. We ended up getting lunch at the Overlook Food Court which had lots of signs about GF... but the food was pretty meh. The fries were probably baked to keep them safe, but it really just seemed like they'd set frozen fries out on a baking sheet to thaw and served us those. The GF burger bun was ok. I'd complain more, but we weren't really there to eat, we were there for the rides.
My daughter got a smoothie bowl from Oola Bowls and I thought that might have been safe for my son who has Celiac except for the granola that was put on top. The bowls seemed pre-made, so I'm not sure if we could have ordered without the granola to ensure that it was safe for Celiac.
I do love how the Hershey chocolates are labeled GF-- we bought lots of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups on our way out for dessert.

On 2 different days within 1 week I ate 2 different menu items from 'Flying Fare', the supposed allergen friendly food stand inside Hersheypark near the Jolly Rancher Rides. I have Celiac and need to avoid gluten. I made the mistake of trusting the "Gluten Free" wrap the "Gluten Free" Turkey BLT salad. I got very sick after each occasion. (Unfortunately, I did not realize until the 2nd occurrence that this was the source of my 'glutening' from earlier in the week. After the 2nd episode, it was an obvious connection.) DO NOT TRUST the Gluten Free wraps and salads from Flying Fare if you have a gluten allergy!! After getting sick, I was able to find the ingredients listed on their website and the 2nd ingredient in the 'gluten free wrap' is modified food starch, a well known potential source of gluten! This is terrible marketing on the part of Hersheypark's food service department. I only wish I would have researched an ingredient list prior to becoming sick 2 times. Lesson learned! On the flip side, I have eaten several times at the Spring Creek BBQ stand with no issues. Their food is fresh, delicious, mostly naturally gluten free, and when a GF item is requested, I have seen the staff there change gloves and wash hands in between orders. In my opinion, they are a much better GF choice inside the park.

Couldn’t be more disappointed with Hershey Park this year. The only devoted GF food place in the park was closed. But I can’t bring food in?? So my 3 year old ate popcorn and some of an açaí bowl for the entire 8 hours we were there. Not okay. Next time I will call ahead and insist they allow me to bring food for her.

It’s fine for Hershey to advertise all of the GF options they have. But if none of them are open cause it’s “off season” (even though the park was packed) and the only option is chic fila which has a 2 hour line it’s not a safe place then. My daughter went for a school tripped armed with useless information since so much was closed and ended up not eating more than a pre packed granola bar from 8am to 5pm when the line for chic fila was finally less than 2 hours. Bummed about this as I thought she would be taken care of there after reading reviews.

Hershey Park had quite a few options for gluten free eaters. There’s an entire booth dedicated to gluten free foods (tenders, pretzel bites, salads, and wraps) called The Outpost/Flying Fare. I got GF chicken tenders and fries from the Overlook Food Court. There’s an entire line at the far end of the food court that’s solely GF. The tenders and fries were prepared in a separate designated mini kitchen with its own utensils and fryers! While I was certain they were safe, the chicken was very dry and the fries were soggy. However, both had nice flavor and it could’ve been an off day!
Oh and we wanted to try The Chocolatier, but with little reviews, we wanted to check with the restaurant first about GF options. However, the hostess (who was standing around) said she was not willing to ask the kitchen or wait staff questions. She said we’d have to wait a 2 hour wait to be seated and then we can ask our waiter about the menu then. Why would I wait that long to ask questions only to possibly find out I couldn’t safely eat there? She was very rude towards us too and made it seem like gluten issues weren’t a real thing…

Outpost was closed, but went to the Spring Creek Smokehouse instead. Simple, naturally GF offerings. BBQ sauce is GF too. No symptoms after! Only downside is that it’s busy and the prep area is separate from the order area — not sure about cross contamination issues. May avoid if you’re super cautious.
Also, download the Hersheypark app! It has a full menu with allergy info for all on-site restaurants.

The Outpost is great to have since it's dedicated gf. Ate there twice - chicken wrap (customized) and chicken tenders. Had a burger and fries at The Overlook - the have a gf section they prepare and serve from. The Chocolatier was short on options so I ordered the salmon, mashed potato and veg child meal and the Take5 cake (I don't recommend the cake). More options are needed but I managed for 3 days in the park.

The Outpost - I had the Turkey BLT wrap which was good. Everything is pre-made so there are no customizations. Great option if you have a meal pass.

I would love to review the GF food at The Outpost, but it's closed. Now I'm stuck in a line of at least 60 people at the Chick-fil-A in the park. Not exactly what I was looking forward to. Hopefully their GF handling practices are good here.

I am currently at Hershey and before leaving had gotten very excited I had read online that there was a lot of GF options. We get here and…not so much some of the restaurants on Hershey property but not 100% related to Hershey had good gluten free food but the parks them selves had a small amount of gf food. Most of it was naturally GF food like tacos and salads. Overall very disappointed in the lack of options and variety of GF food.

While they note gluten free options in the park, that doesn't mean they will be open at any given time. I managed to have chicken tenders, fries, whoopie pie, and pretzel bites gluten free over the days I was there. They were decent. I was grateful to have them. The chicken was well-seasoned but not crisp. The fries were slightly underdone for my liking. The whoopie pie cake was only available in chocolate, which was really good. The buttercream flavors varied though was too sweet for me. The pretzel bites were tasty, as was the cheese that came with them.
In general, the park isn't as well organized as larger similar ones. The restrooms were scary, though most of the park was pretty clean. The staff were all responsive and kind.

Came here on a Saturday. We saw that the Outpost opened at noon. The food was good, but just know that it’s expensive and you don’t get a lot. I got the chicken strips and I’m pretty sure they were Bell & Evans brand. I think it was 4 strips for $11. A little dry on the inside but crunchy on the outside. It was premade when we got there at 12:15, so it was nice that it was quick. Overall, just grateful that they have a separate allergy food stand! Better than nothing!

Hershey park is a fantastic place! Such great rides and overall clean park: the best part was the outpost a completely allergy / gluten free eatery! Like previous reviewers have mentioned they have gf wraps, chicky fingers, pizza and then the best snack SOFT PRETZELS 🥨!! We had a wonderful day and it was nice to be able to eat normal park food! Definitely will come back when we’re in town again.

HersheyPark is the place to be! They have a lot of options and it’s really great here. My little sister and I both have Celiac so it’s hard to find amusement parks with options, but Hershey has lots of food choices. The Outpost is by far the best place because it’s all gluten free. Chicken tenders, wraps, sandwiches, and pizzas. AND the best part: gluten free soft pretzels! After 4 years of being diagnosed I finally got to have soft pretzels and they were amazing! Definitely a good meal spot if you’re here.

Dedicated GF prep areas at the Overlook Cafe. Leave extra time for food preparation as it made to order, but I felt confident there was no risk of CC.
If you download Hersheypark app it lists menu items for each place, and what is gf including drinks! Lots of things you can eat around the park. Staff member went out of her way to accommodate me at the chili dog stand. Went in the pouring rain to another location to grab me a gluten free bun for my hot dog. Hot Chocolate was gf and amazing!!
Yes
The Outpost, in the Pioneer Frontier area, is a great dedicated GF and nut free food option. Numerous choices and the wraps and pretzel bites we got were delicious. It's wonderful knowing there's a safe place to eat at the park where you don't even have to worry about CC!
Yes
We loved that they had a gd food stand. They had pretzels with cheese, pizza and chicken tenders. The ketchup and dipping sauces are in a central location with gluten foods though. There is also a Chik Fil A with ff fries. We went to Chocolate World for a few gf candy bars too. It was overall a great gf experience.

My son, who is a teenager, has celiac and was very happy that there was a dedicated gluten free food stand where we did not need to worry about cross contamination. My son loved the chicken tenders. Sorry they did not have packets of ketchup/sauce to offer. He loved the pizza and the pretzel bites too!
Yes
This was so disappointing. I was very happy to find out I can eat safe at the park, The Outpost has a mediocre gf menu. Wraps, flatbread pizza, chicken tenders and pretzel bites. I had an order of chicken tenders and pretzel bites. The chicken had just been warmed in a microwave and was rubbery and not great. They don’t offer fries or dipping sauces as sides for the chicken, just chicken :( The pretzel bites were really good and fresh, served with cheese dip. So good, I went back at the end of the day to get another, these must have been sitting a while because they didn’t taste the same and were a bit gummy. Hershey needs to up their game a bit, different options would be nice as well as freshly made food. I’m happy I have options to eat but I shouldn’t have to pay inflated prices for subpar park food.
Yes
Dedicated Gluten free stand. We enjoyed the chicken wrap, chicken parm sandwich, pretzels with cheese and small spinach artichoke flatbread. Staff were friendly and our food was ready quickly.

Reading the Hershey Park website, I was thrilled to read about the GF options and all the trained staff who can make GF food. Unfortunately, what is on the internet doesn't match reality.
We made four trips to Hershey this year (twice in Summer and twice for Christmas in Candylane), and on all occasions, the Allergy Outpost was not open. I'm not even sure it's still there anymore. That left GF options at Founder's Kitchen, Overlook Cafe, and Chick-fil-a. Out of all three, Chick-fil-a turned out be the best option... unless you show up on a Sunday.
At Overlook cafe, it took forever to find someone to make the GF food, and in retrospect, burning a $20 bill probably would have made me feel better afterwards. So, yes they have a GF only prep area, but they kept going back to the regular kitchen to get ladles, tongs, and didn't bother changing their gloves. Plenty of opportunities for cross contamination.
But the worst part was the food tasted terrible. The GF pizza tasted like a placemat with sauce and cheese, the chicken tenders tasted weird... and don't get me started on the GF fries.
The lessons learned is... yes, Hershey has GF options, but you may not want to eat it.
PS - Don't bother with the GF options at Chocolate World... they tasted terrible too...
Yes
We went to Hershey because we knew there was an allergy outpost to get safe gluten free food. We were super disappointed to find it was closed on a super busy Saturday. We were able to go to a different food establishment that could accommodate our dietary needs. Gf pizza and gf/df chicken nuggets and French fries. So we did find food but it was disappointing that the outpost was closed.
Allergy outpost closed on non busy days. Went again on a Friday and it was open. Nice to have dedicated GF stand but, my goodness, this location must have the SLOWEST employees in the history of theme park food service. Pretty much ruined the experience.
The beloved allergen friendly Outpost restaurant was closed. Uh, what am I gonna eat now: (
5 stars for intent, 1 star for execution. On the day we were there (peak holiday weekend) Decades GF window was closed entirely, Outpost line was insanely long, and GF staff at Overlook Food Court was moving at a snail's pace. Nonetheless, we appreciate the park's attention to allergens.

Dedicated gluten and nut free in park! Other allergens listed on menu. Quick service, food very good!
The Outpost is gluten and nut free. The pretzle bites and chicken tenders were outstanding.

So many celiac friendly restaurants! I've been to the overlook cafe, where they cook gluten free food in a separate area and it was amazing. I've also been to Outpost where it's only gluten free food. Hersheypark is so good about being gluten free!
Had a great cheeseburger @ Outpost & can't wait to try the soft pretzels! So happy Hersheypark has gf options in multiple locations.
Had pizza @ Overlook & that wasn't very good.

5 stars for safety and options available. I ate at The Outpost and had the chicken tenders and pretzel bites. Chicken was OK, coating was a little grainy but still nice to have the option. The pretzel bites were AMAZING, reminded me of Auntie Anne's, better than usual gluten-containing soft pretzels you get at theme parks!

New allergen friendly location. Very knowledgeable and caring staff. Nice to have an option when in a busy amusement park and not have to worry about being sick. Also several other locations with options throughout the park.
They have a new food stand that is dedicated gluten free. Great variety of food! I had a fantastic southwest chicken wrap! And an amazing rice crispy treat! Thank you Hershey!

What a great focus on allergen friendly eating at Hershey Park! We found the Overlook Food Court which features a gluten free concession with a bunch of options. Certificates are posted to show employees have gone through allergen safe certification. GF options include chicken fingers, burgers, hot dogs, fries, and pizza. We enjoyed the pizza and fries!

Hershey Park is a wonderful place for children with celiac and others who need to be gluten free! We have seen an expansion in GF availability between our visit last year and this year at the Overlook Food Court. Where last year we ordered at the same counter as everyone else and had to wait a bit for designated fryers to be turned on, there is now a gluten free station and someone staffing it, with expanded options. The food is amusement park food, but it is great to see how Hershey Park is doing it right and keeping GF customers safe.
