Best dining out experience I’ve had since being diagnosed. Separate gluten free menu, staff is super knowledgeable and special allergy tickets are submitted with orders. The gluten free bun is made in house, and is soft and delicious. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Received my burger, checked to make sure the toppings were correct by lifting the bun, seemed right, ate a few fries (dedicated fryer)…. Then went to check my son’s burger (also celiac, also gf bun) and it had a different bun. Mine was not a gf bun as requested. Careless mistake that may indeed ruin my first day (at least) of vacation. I wish aebertone was educated on how simple mistakes are so costly to someone that suggested, asked questions, and made it very clear there was a gluten allergy. They were friendly and fixed the mistake but just maybe uneducated or careless. Could Be very costly and detrimental.
Great spot right off the highway. They make the gf buns in house and they are flakey like biscuits! Dedicated fryer so you can get yummy fries. Had the Goodnight/Goodcause. Split a massive order of sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. Have been twice and both times were great and I did not get sick.
Went here for the first time and had their black bean veggie burger on a GF bun. Pretty tasty. The Sweet potato fries were delicious. They have a gf fryer. I have celiac and would definitely go back. They were very on top of the food allergy procedures. Web site has allergen and nutrition info.
Hopdoddy is one of the best gf friendly burger chains. Their gf bun is actually delicious, they use separate fryers for gf fries, the staff is knowledgeable and has great allergy protocols, and they have fun options. Even some of the milkshakes are gf! On online ordering, they have a separate gf tab.
I love this place!!! They have a red flag tag that they fill out if you say you have a gluten allergy & give it to the kitchen staff. I always get the classic burger in a bowl with truffle fries. They have gf house made buns but I haven’t been brave enough to try them. The dedicated fryer makes this place even better.
I was served a regular gluten bun and told it was a GF bun at lunch today and now I’m very sick as I have celiac and cannot tolerate trace amounts of gluten let alone a full bun. Their safety protocols are not good for celiacs or people that need to eat gluten free. I ate here today due to a good experience at the one in Dallas but will not be back at this place in Tustin.
the staff are really friendly about allergies, i will say though if you have an egg allergy, a lot of the kitchen staff does not know english and will still put mayo on your stuff so just make sure you let someone know that you cannot have mayonnaise. they are still so kind though and i’ve never had an issue with my gluten or dairy allergy. their chicken burgers are also so great for people who cannot have red meat!
be cautious eating here! i got glutened, and i think it was the fries? they didn’t come marked and everyone one at our table just grabbed a bowl. the waiter said they were all gluten free, but I’m not sure if they use separate friers for all fries or just the gluten free fries. either way, just be cautious and don’t be afraid to speak up for your needs 🫶🏼 (also food was very mid, i wouldn’t go back even if i wasn’t glutened)
