All sauces are gluten free. The pad Thai noodles are gluten free. When you go up to them to cook let them know gluten allergy. They were amazing at making sure that the cross contamination was not happening. When I went up they knew right away and asked me to double check. They were amazing with helping me ensure I can still eat here and not worry about what I could eat. Employees here are amazing
I am celiac and have had a bad experience here in the past. However, tonight I let them know what I needed and they were fantastic. They cleaned a spot on the grill and had clean utensils that were only used on my food. They also put up a utensil barrier around my food while it was cooking to keep cc out. It’s now much later and I feel good. I would eat here again.
HuHot does not have a gluten free menu but does have an allergen list and a list of gluten free sauces. Ask them to clean a spot on the grill and use different utensils, if necessary.
HuHot has NO sauces that are gf! My family have tried it twice, with them insisting that what they were making us was gluten free! We ordered different dishes and all of us were ill! No way is it safe!
Not my first choice to eat out but went with co-workers. Very clean and popular. I selected exactly what I wanted and they had all items listed by allergies. I told the cook I was gluten intolerant and he took extra care cleaning the grill, using new utensils and putting a barrier around my cooking food so that there was no cross contamination. Best part I got to enjoy my dinner and not get sick. I’d give it 5 stars if you like Hohhot
they were great. my husband was up with another alerted and they didn't cross between them.
While HuHot tries and has gluten free sauces, I saw customers let their ladles touch their noodles and saw noodles dip into sauces. I ended up eating a bowl of rice. As long as they have sauces in open containers it can't be risked. A shame, because I loved the place when I could still eat gluten.
My Celiac wife loves the varied fresh meats & vegetables. She only had one incident... a cook, non-English speaking did not understand about the cleaning the grill. The manager took care of it! Good food.
The staff does their best and I was impressed with how clean they try to make everything for people with allergies. If you ask for allergy menu, they will give you a yellow bowl and a full laminated chart of all their food. The cooks scrape and wash the grill the best they can, use clean utensils, use clean dividers, and clean their hands before touching your food.
That said, it is a buffet.
There is a huge selection of single ingredient food to choose from. The GF sauce are marked and are together at one end of the sauce bar to avoid cross contamination from drops of other sauces. The cooks will separate your food entirely upon request, and toppings are single item servings as well
Tasty food, we love date night here once and a while! GF option is rice noodles then veggies and meat and sauces. They will rinse the grill with water and separate your food from others if you make them aware of a gluten allergy. I have gotten gluten symptoms before, I’m not sure if it was from cross-contact or a sauce I didn’t realize had gluten in it.
